What We Really Need - When We Really Hurt 

I've had a severe problem with depression and anxiety since I was 12 years old. . . . and a christian. I'm now 57 and am seeing fruit that I have longed for for my whole life. He was the ONLY thing I had to hold on to. And often it felt that my fingers could no longer hold on. My prayer life came down to saying over and over "God have mercy on me". I came very close (still being a christian) to committing suicide, the pain was so bad and lasted so long. I was in far too much pain to want to live and way too scared to die. For a long time I felt that 'I' barely held on. Now it seems that while it seemed very small His grace was sufficient for ME. Sometimes 'one day at a time was FAR too much. One minuet at a time was barely doable. So hard to believe during dark times but KNOW that He IS WITH YOU weather you feel Him or not. Being depressed IS NOT FAILURE, it's just one of the hardships of this life. My heart breaks for you who are going thru dark times. . . . His heart breaks even more for you. He has been that far down and really does understand exactly what you're going through. Isaiah 42:3 A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice; Psalm 34:18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

I needed this so very much, my family has gone through a heartbreaking fiery trial for over 2 1/2 years and are still going through it. Praise you, Abba, I will remain faithful to you.

Thank you Jack. My husband died Christmas Eve and I have really been struggling but I am so encouraged and will continue to trust God through this fire.

My husband passed away a month ago yesterday and without Faith, it would be hopeless. He knew where he was going, he wrote on a note in hospital. It tears me up, but I know where he is.

For some reason only God knows I've had a very lonely and difficult life full of rejection. For me its not about this life but the next. My hope is in Christ's return.

OH MY !!!! I was talking to my daughter about this this morning, and there are places where your words Pastor verbatim of mine, oh my goodness, God never ceases to amaze me of his love for me, this message I sent to my daughter, I just love our Lord

Pastor Jack, Thank you. I am trusting Him even through heart break and pain, but having my cup filled up after being continually drained is needed at times and God always knows and sends messages like this to remind me again that I can fully trust in Him even when I do not know what tomorrow brings. My marriage of 17 years is coming to an end, I have endured and remained faithful praying for God to work. He has chosen to reveal sin and darkness that was hidden. Infidelity, narcissistic personality, emotional abuse, homosexuality, abandonment, some things I was aware of, some not, but God knew. I know I need to trust Him because I literally do not know what I am suppose to do tomorrow, next week or next month. I have 3 children to disciple, love and provide for. I've often thought and prayed at different times, "God, what did Enoch do as he walked with you and what was it that pleased you?" Can you imagine walking with God and God saying He is pleased with you and then God choosing to take you to be with Him. I am finding out that it is faith and trust, that pleases God most. I have absolutely nothing to cling to except Him and you are right He is all I need. Longing for the day when those crowns are cast at His feet. He is worthy of it all and so much more.

I thought I was loosing my mind with troubles and worries then God brought me to this message. Will have it on replay all day. Get it into my spirit ☺️

God is speaking through you, Jack, directly to me. I hear exactly what I need. Thank you Jesus for your servant in Pastor Jack. To God be the Glory!!!!

As Believers, When We Suffer with a sickness, or go through a Very Painful situation, it is through this Suffering, that We find Out that God will never Leave Us , or forsake Us, No Matter How intense the sickness, Or pain Is ! The Holy Spirit will Come, and Comfort Us! And also it's through Our Suffering that We Learn How to be So Much More Sympathic, and Much More Compassionate towards other people

Let’s remember who we’re following! Jesus!!! Be gracious to one another! Not like the Corinthians...

Thank you Pastor Jack so much you enlighten me so much on getting through my confusion of what I think my faith should be. In this sermon you explained it so well and helped me see that I might have a little self pitty, might not be letting God have all the control like I should. I have stage 4 bone cancer. I believed in God when I was younger and was even Baptized. Over 40 years I walked away from God, numerous times I know it should have been my last day on earth. 4 years ago I had to retire at 60 as I needed a pace maker. A short year later we found the cancer THEN I REFOUND GOD. And it's been a rollercoaster. My best friend of over 40 years thinks I'm crazy, I have trouble with all my family believing although some are close and I've never been this way in my feelings before and I am trying to give it all to God.... I'm not sure when this will all end but I know you touched my heart with this sermon and I couldn't hardly watch because I was too busy wiping my eyes, but it makes sense and I want to say Thank you and Thank God for you and I am really going to try harder to step up and except and Believe God will take care of it all. Sunday I listened and watched first service, today, Tuesday, I'm listening again, why? because there is always so much truth in what you teach, so much to burn into our brain and hold on to, and ultimately to be able to share it with others so they too can be encouraged and comforted. ( well that's my reason anway) Thanks so much Jack for your passion in teaching, and sharing you love for Jesus, it's wonderful.! ( you are always in my prayers , but you know that too :)

Needed this. Prayers gladly accepted for my daughter who is definitely going through a fiery trial. And she has NO fault in what she's dealing with. She's an extreme follower of Christ and this is an obvious spiritual battle. She's so strong, she encourages me...but, still would covet prayers for her situation. May God's sovereignty be obviously revealed!!!

Amen Lord your mercy we all need your mercy. We all need your love and patience and you know in the end all we have is you and when we’re alone all we have, is you family can desert you friends can desert you, but God never will. God never changes, and I believe fully if you don’t have God in your life, you’ve gotten nothing and I mean nothing. Amen. Praise the Lord. He is loving he is merciful, and without him I’d have nothing, and I would be dead by now, probably by my own hand hand, so God God bless us all because we need your Lord we all need you amen.

My heart is in the bottom of my stomach today. I’ve been going through too much! I don’t see a future anymore or a hope and I feel defective as a Christian for what I feel. He allows for heartache for what? How long does a person have to hold on in faith before something changes? My love for God and my faith hasn’t brought me closer to my family or my kids. They’re just sick of hearing me talk about it. Affection on me? Where in the world do I see that?

I found it to be very interesting in several areas. a. cameras were 45 seconds from Amir's home. b. the traffic intersection was the most well known that connects Europe and Africa to Israel. Wow. and c. the seal of Nathan Melek an Official in the age of Josiah. This Official was mentioned once only in the entire bible, but yet a seal with his name on it was found in a recent archeological dig. Glory to God.
