They rejected you, their loss only! FCC unit is very complex and one of the most important units of a refinery, and also so risky to handle as in the same unit both highly heated HCs and air are present in separate regions. Every engineer should be knowing the minutest details also if working in a field related to it. If overexplaining concepts from the root level and sounding technically strong are wrong decisions, then maybe keeping such panelists is also a wrong decision for UOP.
