My mother died at 93 . She was blessed with a beautiful bone structure and cornflower blue eyes. She came from an English working class background, had a high IQ, cultured, worked hard all her life. She would have scorned the idea of cutting her face up. She aged naturally and without vanity. The hospital nurses in her final weeks marvelled at her natural beauty. I don't criticize others - especially those rectifying genuine facial disfigurement, accident or injury. What breaks my heart are the number of beautiful women who have denied themselves and the world the joy of watching their faces mature into beautiful old age.

Right! 👐🏼 I truly believe the worse results these days are from all of the new fillers/additives. Those throw everything else out of balance & from then on its the whole chase of "let's tweak this so that isn't as noticeable.." which pushes some other feature out of alignment, so "let's try blah blah to fix that.." & on & on! Its sad.. the majority of them were drop dead gorgeous to begin with.. but can't keep well enough alone, so they destroy their beauty with each crap procedure. 😔

As a 62-year-old I agree that it is hard when you were once beautiful (as I was) and then one day you're not. I saved my money for 4 years and was finally able to get a lower face lift. Did my research, went to 4 different credible certified plastic surgeons but what I learned was number one; Never be the last case. he was tired and my results were not great. He didn't botch it but the whole reason I wanted it was that I had the marionette lines that aged me, well after the surgery my neck and jaw looked good but no improvement on my marionette lines. And 2; If your gut tells you not to go through with it then don't. They were supposed to take me at 11:00 am. I waited with my sister in the lobby until after 2, I was about to leave when they called my name, I paused and looked at my sister and thought I should not go through with it, it's so late I know he'll be tired, but I had waited for this for over 4 years. I remember thinking when I'm in my 30's I will get a facelift. 30's came, 40's came, 50's came still no wrinkles. Now I'm 61 and things have changed. Jawline isn't as firm anymore. I can't wear make up like I used to, I've to wear less. It's hard to not see that face you were in love with anymore in the mirror.

I was going to get a broken nose fixed, but I think not. That $$ could be spent for a good cause. And besides, I don't want to end up with a turned up nose when it heals and retracts like my friend who had her broken nose fixed. (I'm OK except for some camera angles;, so I will deal w it!) I used to work for Mae West. she had boxes of adhesive stickers called "Wings" from the 1930s. It was like the glue part of an envelope but small and shipped like angle wings. We would stick them around her hair line with a piece of elastic under the Wing. When it dried we'd pull the elastic back and it it would stretch the skin. Hiding the elastic with hair pieces it pulled the wrinkles back but her eyes were huge then. She liked that and applied eyeliner a quarter inch from the eyelid to accentuate her eyes. We'd tape her abdomen and push up her bust and in 2 hours we'd turn an old lady into Mae West. She was a DOLL and I miss her every single day. She was a kind and considerate woman. I knew her towards the end of her life and boy do I have some stories.

I had facelift. My doctor in Virginia would only do a "natural, soft"facelift. He would not do tight pull. Thus he tacked up my neck and facial muscles to where they had been naturally and liposuctioned my jowl area removing excess fat. It worked. When I returned to work those who didn't know thought I'd been on vacation and said I looked rested/refreshed. I went along with it. I was 65 at time. I wanted to look refreshed. This surgeon is very highly respected. He also gave me a strict mediterrean diet to go on 7 days before surgery so I would have less chance of bruising. Also recommended supplements to help with healing I had no bruises and my face was a little round for a few months until it settled.

What you describe is a ''necklift,'' the stitches are behind your ears. I had it and now at 80 can see some neck cords forming. Did we only respect them before because of their faces? Hopefully not either. I always found Goldie to be such a cutie, it’s a shame her surgeons were not able to maintain that youthful naughtiness it used to have. We are not just our faces though, so it is so nice to hear him speak respectfully of them.
@jrthiker9908
@jrthiker9908 2 года назад
@@pennycandyys He also makes a good point that the way they look now is not the fault of the surgeons nor the actresses. They had the initial work done many years ago when surgical techniques were not as advanced. You then spend the next decades playing catchup and doing repairs. That said, when you look at someone like Jane Fonda who started her plastic surgery journey around the same time as Hawn (both actresses coming into their own in the 1960's) it proves that there is something to be said for restraint by the patient. As well as taste level of the surgeon to know how much should be done at any one time.

Meryl seems to only do them depending on the film she's doing . Helen has a few tight spots on her face. Kate definitely has tight spots. My biggest issue with this ...I get it...they're actors and everyone owns a 70 inch high def tv now and we all criticize every tiny thing....but ...BUT ...you're an actor and when your face doesn't move....you've just destroyed most of your performance. Nicole Kidman , her eyes shift and her mouth moves but nothing else does. It's just hard to watch . This pressue is starting to affect the men now too. It is very sad how society puts so much emphasis on youth. People going under the knife and not coming out like they wished. The truth of the matter is the psychological issues that are causing this is apparent. I am a 53 soon to be 54 year old male. I must say I am slightly warped on my personal appearance of aging. I won't go under the knife but I do what I can. Eat healthy. Sunblock and tons of water. I am holding up fine. We must love ourselves from the inside. What someone's opinion or comment is irrelevant to us. Grow old with dignity. We are human We are flesh and blood. It ages.

I think overfilling is the culprit with Goldie. If she had a facelift it was probably twenty years ago and she doesn't want to go through that again. It would explain the neck and jaw sagging and wrinkling because a facelift 'buys' about ten to fifteen years but the clock keeps ticking. She certainly doesn't look or act her age because she is fit and has a young personality.

Honestly, if I were an agent in HOllywood and had young actresses I was dealing with, I'd be bringing this up over and over. @IloveCamels335

I am still not close to either of their ages, am only in my 40ies. but what i can really confirm from my personal experience.. skin health is a direct result of ones diet. What you put in your body it shows on the outside. Yeah maybe creams and all that stuff can do a little, but what you eat - it can do a looot! I feel even the sun causes less damage than bad food. I am living proof of that. My skin is so much better now than it was 10 years ago. Before I never ate healthy, now I do. Fresh produce, home cooked meals, good oils. Does wonders for your skin. I love laying out in the sun, used to do that before and still do that. But your skin will not get the same damage I feel if for example you drink some spinach juice before going out. It somehow is more protected from inside, like an invisible shield. The only area where I could visibly see sun damage is under my eyes as that skin is clearly very thin and more delicate. So I just put big sunglasses and everything is fine. I am a light skin central European female.
@Joh-Zii

@@IloveCamels335 You don’t think sun damage has a big effect because of your environment. You’re in Central Europe and experience Fall & Winter seasons. What you’re saying doesn’t apply to people in the desert or tropical regions like the equator which receive the most sunlight throughout the year. A facelift done discreetly and properly is a wonderful thing for many people. Their problem is overdoing all the fillers .

Are you suggesting that men don't utilize these procedures? If so, you would be wrong.

What went wrong is no one knows how to just age gracefully anymore … we all experience youth and if you’re blessed you experience aging … simple as that !!

Will you review Priscilla Presley's face-lift or cosmetic surgeries? When she was young, she was so beautiful, her face was virtually perfect. That all changed around 2005. For a number of years following, she almost did not look human and now she's 77 and she looks better but older with remnants of bad work visible. I'd appreciate hearing what you think might have been done on her. I love your videos, thank you!

If the richest, high profile celebrities can get poor results then it's even scarier for the rest of us who aren't as wealthy or who dont need our appearances as part of our profession in the same way an actor or entertainer does.

Please do a vid on Marilyn Monroe. Come on Dr. That was 70 to 80 years ago and her surgeon did a FABULOUS job. I wonder why a surgeon from so many years ago was so superior to many surgeons of today. Dr. Motykie you know I'm right.

@@cynthiastanley35 She had a nose job and chin implant. I agree, amazing surgery. Whoever fit it was an absolute artist. The work didn’t change the planes of her face which were super light reflective.

seeing how famous people are not comfortable with themselves in their own bodies and are constantly trying to please hollywood, while drinking the elixir of the fountain of youth i have decided not to chase said fountain. I embrace my graying hair that is just beginning.

The more I watch these videos and the show Botched, the more I'm grateful for my natural face. I'm 42 years old and our children constantly tell me that I look like I'm in my 30s....I'm grateful. I'll keep making any improvements that I would like to see through natural means.
