Sorry for the re-upload everyone! We have made fixes to the aspect ratio that was cutting off parts of the video. Also don't forget to check out the Kansei Wheels giveaway going on right now! www.fitmentindustries.com/fi-giveaway/kansei-giveaway2
Most OEM wheels tend to be low pressure cast and heat treated for strength. The ultimate wheels are a properly sized single piece forged, but they're expensive. The best value is from flow formed wheels. Multipiece wheels only exist due to fitment issues.
Y'all should do a how it's made type of video with one of the monthly sponsors. It would be really cool to see them explain how each type of wheel is made with a specific brand paired with your video style
Finally, a video that actually explains what I have been looking for about finding the right wheels for your intended use. Particually about gravity cast wheels and how you can speculate if what you're looking at could be made which way.
I made the choice really easy for me.. On a VW Corrado, I mounted some 4-piston brembo's. That narrowed the ammount of wheels you could actually fit waaayyy down already. 😂 Got my OZ Ultraleggera's now. Lightweight, good clearance and fairly easy to keep clean. I'm happy.
I've never wanted a wheel as badly as I want the Kansei KNP! I bought 2 shirts. I've never really bothered with wheels, I obsess over tires and never have $ for wheels. This really HYPES me up to actually help my car not look like junk.
Honestly wheel shopping in the most stressful thing because it's one of the most potentially expensive things and it can really make your car look so clean or it can make it look bogus. I wouldn't want to be dissatisfied with my wheels and not want them. I also don't want to necessarily run wheels that everyone else runs aka TE37's lol. It's also slightly tough to choose when you don't know many people with a similarly-colored car as yours and it's also somewhat hard to choose wheels when your car isn't modified heavily because what if the mods that you want to do, change what you want in wheels? Damn damn damn.
I put 18x9 rear and 18x8 front bbs rs on my 05 sts 4 1sg. Then I took the oem wheels from the sts had em refinished and powered coated prismatic universe (metallic color shift) and put floating led center caps on em and put those wheels on an 05 Cadillac deville limited that’s painted metallic pearl white chromaflare! Wish I could upload pics!!
The TacomaKid if I have more money I would be happy too. But I’m in love with my very first brand new aftermarket wheels. I just had then about a month ago. So I’ll keep them for quit a while. Maybe more
Yeah, I got a 85 Chrysler Fifth Avenue. So weight probably isn't a major issue, but I just don't want to go too large or too small. 20"s might be too small and 24"s might be too high. So, I'm trying to figure out if 21s or 22s would be the best.
Do a video on the different ways/methods used to fix a wheel whether it is just a dent from a pothole or from years of parallel parking. Cover the different paints, powerboats, enamels, ceramic, and all that crap. I want to keep my original, stock Mitsubishi GTO TT AWD rims but they definitely need some work.
Can you do an episode on OEM or aftermarket wheels that have failed over the years/have flaws? E.g. the Saab 17" viggen which are known to be too soft and bend often...
I cracked 3 XXRs in 3 years 😂 but for $1200 with tires can't complain... Also they had rubber bands for tires in Chicago streets so not totally their fault 🤷🏼♂️
05 Mustang GT What brands would you recommend? And even better, if you know a wheel that looks like the Ruff R363 that I've been drooling over since I found it, that would be fantastic! The only reason I haven't already bought them is because I'm afraid of them breaking under the weight and my style if driving on public roads alone. Do those wheels have the reliability I need? Or should I get something else? Perhaps the XT-005R you showed? I like the deep dish design on it a lot and if I can get them in that same or darker red to match my car, that would be fantastic. I really need your help on this. TL:DR I want Ruff R363 wheels, but don't know if they will break easily. Can you tell me if they do or if there is another brand that makes a wheel similar in style that I can trust with an 05 Mustang GT. My concern is more strength and style of the wheel, but if I had to give a price range, I wouldn't want to be spending more that 1.5k. It would be nice to go cheaper, but reliably comes first
Looking for wheels has been so complex for me 🤦♂️ I can’t get a straight answer on what backspace to use for a 15x10 on a 82 3rd gen Camaro with factory 10bolt rear end. I’ve looked all over and some people say 6.5 and others say 5.5
Please add wheel weights, where you can on the site (I’m sure some manufacturers don’t specify) I’m a function guy and weight is my determining factor for purchase
Got myself my very first EVO, one of my bucket list cars, would have been better if it was an 8 or 9, but the X is worth taking. I'm looking for new wheels myself. Since the stock ones are alright, I want something a tad cooler looking.
@@TheSwedishCarGuy I'd like rays gram lights 57fxx. I can't stand the RPF1's that everyone likes to use, don't find them appealing at ALL. But, I'd rake anything I guess, or not. Even O.Z. I'd like to have once again, I've had them on my MazdaSpeed3, which were gold, they made the red car POP!
You mention how multi piece losses functionality, are you able to daily them? You see when I get my Z I want fancy wheels that look amazing almost show;) but will be my daily for the summer;)
9:25 that looks so painful. I hope she is alright. The most expensive wheel I ever bought was the axe ex20. Less than a year on the car and I hit a pot hole and bent one on the highway. I just saw your video on the ex20. You mention it's a cast wheel. I paid $350 a piece and it's not even low pressure cast
I'm looking at some white diamond w253. Look sexy. On my black pt cruiser gt. (Srt4) I got gold trim on car so black rim gold trim prolly look nice right? Idk what form process they use. But 120 a rim. So idk. Only 95 if I went 15 but no. 17 pls. (Only sizes they offered) I got 17s on it rn.
Sport Edition for the win! Alex says "racecars should have fully forged wheels.."at the 10:48 mark, then proceeds to show a 330i coupe with a giant wing...
What’s good for a 07 Honda Civic Ex Coupe? It’s my daily with stock suspension.. I’m looking at few, but over-whelmed, haha. I’m looking at Option Lab, Konig etc... I have my stock wheels on now which are like 16x 16.5 .. Is it too much to jump to 18x18.5 or 18x19? (I believe in a video you said that’s pretty much decent for most daily cars)? Thanks! :)
I know this sounds Cliché but what wheels are those, (gunmetal, bottom row second to the right) outta the ones on display in the background?? Or atleast the style name
Wheels with the right tire combo?... when I look for my car it gives me 18” with 30ish offset and 9” wide... wouldn’t something like that rub on a 2009 civic si sedan?... car is currently stock, just getting information together to prevent problems... the car will be lowered NOT slammed, just closing the whee gap...
What is the first wheel at left count in the 1first file?

Hey! Forgot the good old functional wheels guys. Beat the shit out of an OZ Rally or a Speedline Corse and start beating again without a problem. Don't forget us guys. Be nice. New year new fi! #functionwithform
