I'm a recovering alcoholic. A very bad alcoholic. Morning to night every day. I would try taking baths wasted. My mom told me she had to physically stop me and pull me out to stop me. She knew I would die. I don't even remember it. This very well could have been the way I go out. Very grateful for 4 1/2 years and counting.

Whitney Houston passed on so many years ago she will forever be missed

No one can bring the talent the same way she did, that voice of hers was champion and with it, she captured our hearts and the world , may she and her daughter rest in love, 🙏🏽🕊🕊🙏🏽 you definitely was part of my coming of age years .

This is truly as sad a story as there can be. Like scripture says… our lives are predetermined from the time we are in our Mother’s womb. Whitney and Bobbie Christina’s bright lights shined… flickered… and died out as they were supposed to. It is just sad that it had to be so. Hopefully those that were a part of it and are left standing will learn from it and apply it positively and Bless others with the knowledge moving forward. you forgot to mention her year long rehab stint where she was forced by pat and gary houston to leave rehab and go on the "nothing but love" tour FOR MONEY. pat houston said it herself. apparently money was more important than her health and sobriety. i cant imagine how she felt having to do that. her family always wanted to milk her for money.

While she was alive, she was an incredible singer, drunk/high or no. WHY did people polarize on *that* instead of her incredible talent?! She should've been surrounded by people who would give her needed affirmation. Her death was a great loss to music. :( RIP, Whitney.

"A star fighting to shine again".... No. She shone without even trying. By the mid 90's she had ascended just about as high as any star could. Everything she did after that point was a bonus. What she really needed was a break from the industry and all the toxic influences that come with it. Maybe then she might not have felt the need for drugs and ciggs in the first place. There's a reason why so many great stars end up with addiction issues. Whitney was just human after all.

CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES SHOULD HAVE INTERVENED LONG BEFORE THE CHILD GREW UP BUT GREED AND MONEY ARE OBVIOUSLY MORE IMPORTANT TO THE PUBLIC THAN A CHILD'S WELL-BEING.
