I am Almost 67, and love Halloween and ghost and Haunted Houses, to each their own

I never decorate for Halloween I always do strictly Fall. I do love Fall and decorating for Fall 🍁

I decorate for fall, but not Halloween or Thanksgiving. I decorate massively for Christmas. I use my same items each year and change up how I design and display them. Same for spring/summer.

When you’re 70 you just go to your closet full of the decorations and pick out what and how much you want to get out. Brown pottery pieces, small copper pot with florals in it, huge tub of fall mums I put in a big crock, fall candles in candle holders and lanterns on coffee table with dried flowers. I don’t care what the trends are anymore. I don’t want more stuff. I use the nice timeless things I bought years ago. I have a few glass pumpkins that look nice on my entryway table. I might put a duck decoy on the fireplace hearth.I don’t do anything in my very formal dining room as it is pretty perfect the way it is. And the pumpkin colored wreath on the front door. Only thing I want is a carved wooden lidded acorn. I hope I can find one soon.

I decorate for fall. Gave the little bit of Halloween to our son's families. I know this will upset some people, but I have already decorated for Fall. We have been so hot here that our gardens are looking pitiful. So I have to put our gardens to bed. I am a very active 71 year old. But the yard and gardens are extensive. I just read what our weather is for Friday. We are getting the tail end of Debby the Hurricane, which includes heavy downfalls and possibilities of tornados. Mostly fall, I don’t like doing Halloween. It’s one day can’t wait for it to be over. I love fall decor and look forward to the cooler weather.

Hi, Leslie! That pitcher and vase are so pretty! I don’t do Halloween decor. Fall is a favorite season of mine. I do enjoy making the house extra cozy with hints of Fall. The rust color is lovely. I may add a few extra touches of that this year.

I only decorate 🍂🍁 Fall. It transitions from September thur Thanksgiving. September apples, pears, harvest corn, and maybe corn stalks with a home made scare crow with a happy face. For October. Then update to Thanksgiving Pilgrims and turkeys. Removing, scare crow and out of fruits to spicy candles. I have two bins with fall florals and signage. And a wealth of baskets, pillow slipcovers, and throws. I could do everyroom in the house, but I have chosen to do less is more this year. But, Fall is my favorite. Christmas is #2.

I'm really loving the fall decor this year, even the mushroom-themed items! I've been gravitating more towards fall-themed decorations for quite some time now. Now that my kids are young adults I don’t feel the need for the Halloween themed decorations anymore, though I do have grandkids, I still prefer to have decorations that I can keep up for the whole fall season, rather than just Halloween-specific ones. Don't get me wrong, I adore seeing the little ones in their cute costumes, but my preference for home decor has definitely shifted.

Only decorate for fall as my kids have grown, no more Halloween. Lots of velvet and glass pumpkins, I keep it luxurious and elegant. I love fall! Thanks for the shopping inspo. 🙋🏼‍♀️🇨🇦🥰🍂🍁🎃

I like to put out Fall stuff in September and then add in the Halloween stuff in October. At the end of October, I just remove the Halloween and leave the Fall stuff till it’s time for Christmas. Works for me 😂

I love all the fall colors out this year too. I love the rust, and omg that green. My fav is green. But have to say I’m on a blue kick with navy, orange, and cream colored pumpkins.

Nice haul! When my daughter was little, we decorated full out for Halloween inside and out. Now I just focus on fall. I don’t really have room in my apartment for a lot of things, but I love the rustic orange and the burnt orange and the golds. Morray and I love the scents. My natural impulse is to keep My Home decorated and autumnal colors all year long so I try to look for things that I can use all year long they don’t scream fall necessarily. I live in a rural area of South Dakota and our local. Walmart is pretty lame. They still have lawn and garden stuff out and some school supplies. No fall no Halloween or nothing so the only thing I’ve seen is on RU-vid. I don’t live very close to any other stores. It’s so frustrating! Whenever I put up fall leaf garden, I always like to use twinkling fairy lights because with the sun setting earlier it gives us a special glow to everything and feels very cozy. I have a burnt orange quilt that I put on my bed and I’m looking for some pillows to put on the bed or sofa. Maybe something with a bit of a Thanksgiving vibe that says “gather“. I love the blue candle that you got. That is my favorite color of blue. Looking forward to your upcoming videos to see how you put everything together.

No Halloween here. I decorate for fall usually mid September after it cools down and leaves are turning. It stays up until Thanksgiving then right into Christmas until New Year’s Day. Then I just take a break and keep the decor to a minimal until spring. By then I’m really in need of a visual break! Thx for sharing. You’re always enjoyable to watch!

I decorate for fall then in October I add Halloween for my grandkids they enjoy seeing it and I enjoy making them happy.

We do very little and only cutesy Halloween , just a few bits sprinkled in, but I love fall and do a lot of that, and in November I bring out my turkeys and pilgrims decor pieces, I love it!

September I bring out apples/ dried stems and sunflowers. October brings pumpkins, leaves and crows. November is all about turkey and thanksgiving! We skip Halloween altogether.

I had to laugh when you said you wouldn't burn your mushroom candles!! I'm that girl too! I use unique candles as part of my decor...but I don't burn them🤣🤣. I don't decorate for Halloween but I do decorate for fall. I'm going to use a lot of what I used last year with traditional fall colors.

I love Halloween. I always have. It was my dad‘s birthday. We lost him when I was 13, I’m now 73. I never put together my love for Halloween and it being his birthday until I got older. I asked my mom do you think it’s just because it was daddy‘s birthday and she said oh you always loved it when you were little, I don’t doubt that it is in someway that you celebrate your dad‘s birthday too. I don’t go for the horror, gory stuff. Mine is more on the whimsy part. I do love the witches, but I don’t have any that are creepy. Scary. Anything like that. I put a few fall things out like I have fall leaves garland. I put around my back doors and on my dining room window. I have a beautiful fall tree that’s like the ones that they’ve lost their leaves and then I usually go to Michael’s and get the little woodland creatures and hang them in the tree. I have birds, hedgehogs squirrels you know that kind of thing. Then it goes Halloween. On November 1 that comes down and all my Thanksgiving goes up. I think that’s where I really mix more of the fall with my Thanksgiving decor. I have lots and lots of pumpkins, it was something. My mom usually bought me one every year and after I lost her two years ago, I pick up a new one in honor of her every year. I have pilgrims and turkeys all of those beautiful things for thanksgiving. Don’t get me started on Christmas. I go absolutely crazy on Christmas. Haha! But I decorate for every and I mean every holiday. I wish I had a nice basement or storage room but half of my garage is shelving lined with tubs of holiday decor.

I much prefer fall decor then Halloween

I've never been a "Halloween Decor" person. I love love love Autumn! I love fall so much that I have started having putting up my tree November 1st with fall leaves, Wooden Beads, Pine Cones, and fall quotes clipped to the branches. I am adding vintage lace bows this year (I live in an 1880 Home)... I found artificial fruit like pears, apples to add to it. I dry orange slices to add pops of fall colors. I'm making Cinnamon ornaments (using fall leaves cookie cutters for this project).

I decorate for fall first then in October I add some Halloween for my grandkids they enjoy it and I enjoy making them happy.

I decorate seasonally. Not for a single day. Winter spring summer and fall and Christmas is a season not just a day .

No Halloween here. I had somethings when the children were young but my youngest inherited all the haunted house ceramics etc......she always has a big party for her children and friends. I love the fall decor, the warmth and brilliant changes of colors just show how beautiful and amazing mother nature keeps us entertained with her colors..........it's a beautiful season. Your items are darling. I have tons of autumn decor and I change it's placement each year so it always looks new together but in a different arrangement of items. I decorate for autumn in Sept. and then Halloween in Oct. I have grandkids and lots of kids in our area. Many parents have thanked me for adding to their children's Halloween experience by decorating. My grandkids also love it.

I love the mushrooms theme. As others said, it reminds me of the 70s. I love to decorate for fall, but I am not buying anything new this year so it was fun to see what is in the stores. I have a few vintage Halloween items that I put out on Halloween day and pack away the next day. They were given to me way back in the day by my mother and mother-in-law and I enjoy the memories I have of them ❤

I’m very encouraged to see so many taking a stand against decorating for Halloween, ESPECIALLY as a witness for the children in our lives. We can and should set a good example. There is nothing good about Halloween. As Christians I feel strongly that we shouldn’t be trying to walk as closely as we can to the world and get away with it. I’m not talking about a religious spirit…I mean turning away from what is clearly evil. We are to be set apart. There is so much beauty in God’s creation in the fall (and all year long!)….let’s celebrate that! 🙌

I do a harvest theme ( pumpkins, scarecrows, leaves, acorns)starting late August, add in some Halloween items October 1st and then replace those with some Thanksgiving items on November 1st.

I bypass Halloween I just like the fall colors. However I do put out a pumpkin usually in my kitchen area during the month of October was just treats in. But that is far as Halloween comes. But Halloween was never one of my favorite times not even as a child. I thought it was dumb. I love the colors and just a change of scenery before the holidays for Christmas. I like it when you go to the stores and browse and show us what's there.

I don’t do Halloween, but Fall is my favorite time of year so I decorate in September, and add touches for Thanksgiving to it closer to Thanksgiving. Thanks for the heads up of what’s out there this year. Great as always!!

I start decorating & do lots of fall Sept 1 and add a few subtle Halloween pieces Oct 1… but not much!!! Decorating for Christmas is huge (my favorite!) and I start right after Halloween!

My birthday is on Halloween and this year I will be 71. Another major milestone. I love Halloween, and always have a few special decorati😅no displayed. Birthday gifts from the past,special memories of good times. While I love Fall, it needs just a few Halloween pumpkins and kitties.
