My grandmother was lrish and she always said you had to tell the bees if someone died. Telling the bees is an ancient tradition. I'm glad they did tell them.
@@gpw203 Dude I'm from Northern Ireland even I found what he said funny, it had nothing to do with Russel there... he was literally just showing it on his show. You shouldn't laugh at people dying that's seriously cruel, death is painful for all of the loved ones of the person who has passed. You need to step back and re evaluate yourself, if you find death funny that isn't normal by any means. I'm constantly called a weird person that is me weird but in no shape or form would I ever celebrate a death that's just wrong on sooo many levels.
@@John-ux5on I know right. I always look to see the upload date and then you still end up sitting through old content. Plus he can’t do an entire set without making a joke about 💩 and it’s normal a bit vile.
My favourite thing about the Queen's laying state was that when the official queue was closed, people formed a queue to join the queue. And they called it the "queue-y 2". (Say it aloud...)
I’m American, I first saw Russell on Mock the Week videos on RU-vid. Those videos, and ones from QI helped get me through the Tangerine Toddler’s “administration”, and pre-vaccine COVID. I love Russell’s sense of humor, his lightning quick mind.. He has a way of skewering the ridiculous that’s dead on target, but with nothing mean about it. That’s a gift. I’ve seen parts of Russell’s interview with Bernie Sanders, which I thought was absolutely brilliant, in both the American and British senses of the word.
Only the jester can mock a king without getting his head chopped off. I'm not a royalist but i do respect how you are handling this for the public, much respect!!
Well it's only a show! Peados, cheaters, liars, "wanting to be a tampon", licking a guy's toe, 2 lazy ugly sisters and well, a fucked up family ... I had much respect for our Queen, but that's it, it's over most ppl don't care anymore, especially knowing that we pay for a cheating king no one wants!
@@gameguy20100 yes to an extent. There's wit and real criticism in comedy nowadays. I guess you're may be right about jesters even if I think royals are over, with no monarch there's no jesters 😉😉🤣
Every time I watch you, Russell, I laugh so hard I have to pause the video several times because of what I missed 😂 Thank you for the much appreciated laughs 👏👏👏
He is exactly what you'd expect from that centuries' old genetic experiment. Poor Diana! Poor Kate! Not even their attractive genes could fix that family!
To quote Jeremy Clarkson when he joked about Charles wine driven car once.. "Nasty whine coming from your engine sir. Yes i know, it's a south african"
It's Coronation day, so I got up early and watched back to back episodes of King of Queens, they were repeats from 20 years ago but still very funny and preferable to the wall to wall tripe on the other channels.
The BBC have an article detailing how to avoid the coronation over the weekend, but something tells me I don't need to read it because so far I don't know if it's happening on the Saturday or Sunday.
I think it's Saturday but they said for the street parties to be held on Sunday so people don't miss the coronation on tv or something like that? Or so someone told me
@@Michael-jh9fd it always surprises me that people assume there’s only one type of presidential system, and that there’s only two options- constitutional monarchy or USA. As you point out, Ireland is an excellent example. Plenty of systems have both prime ministers and presidents, where the president can be a ribbon cutter figurehead, to having some more constitutional powers to keep the government in check. Plenty of options and existing examples available. Many ex-commonwealth countries replace their governor general with a president who plays basically the same role. Sometimes chosen by the people, sometimes chosen by the parliament. But the usual commonality is they’re chosen based on merit, on their lifetime of public service such as attorney generals, human rights commissioners, ex-military leaders, charity ambassadors etc etc.
This weekend in many peoples eyes, is a complete waste of tax payers money. At a time that many British people are financially struggling in a cost of living crisis & the NHS at crippling point etc etc, should the hundreds of millions be used in Westminster for the day? Or would it be better spent elsewhere? Or should the King himself pay?
I get this 100% during a time of struggling in the UK the money could be put towards something better for the people. I think the King should pay for it himself somewhat he's got billions upon billions there (which he never paid inheritance tax upon), if there was ever a time for him to show he works for the people as his Mother did it would be now.
If that horse wants a party then he can pay for it himself. The greedy POS will never put what’s best for the majority of the people first, tho, because he was raised to believe he was some gift from God. Surely if he had been a gift, he wouldn’t look like he got beat by every branch on the ugly tree. That entire family should just pick up and move to Epstein island.
This is the type of world beating sovereignty that folks voted for... But of course, don't mention the lies on the Bus, Brexit and Boris..folks migh get very upset!.
I met the now king when I was a boy scout. I used to live near Sandringham which is one of their palaces. I was in uniform and during a parade someone handed me a bouquet of flowers and said I should run and give them to the queen mother which I did. I ran up an tapped her on the shoulder to get her attention. Her security were not too happy with that and very sternly told me not to tap the queen mothers shoulder. Then Charles came up to me and we spoke about being in the scouts, putting up tents and eating baked beans. I have no love for the royal family but Charles seemed nice enough. A little slow maybe, but when you're a member of one of the richest families in the world, I guess you can take your time.
All Corgis can tell the queen has died? Are you telling me she has some supernatural psychic connection to all corgis and their superpower is being extremely loyal to the royal family? 😂😂😂
It's like the Emporer in Warhammer 40k she has a psychic beacon thing that broadcasts to the Corgis inspiring fanatic religious behaviour because they mistake her for a god and helping guide them even when she's entombed in her golden coffin.
I’m not sure if we ever actually need kings anymore…I’ve studied history in my high school and as near as I can tell nobody really actually wanted them in the old days either 🤷♀️
Commonwealth democracy is the best governance system we've tried so far, a role that can remove a government and call a new election is a fantastic check on power the USA doesn't have, sadly it's in the hands on the wrong end of society.
Liverpool FC were collecting for food at the match yesterday for local food banks, imagine spending all that money that the coronation cost on food for the hungry kids in this country
Sure no coronation would have been cheaper but this was a much cheaper coronation than usual. And the failure to spend enough on helping to feed people who need it is a long-term issue of bad governance not just happening right now! Also perhaps worth noting that the Windsors pay a much higher tax rate as royals than they would as wealthy individuals.
@boxtradums0073 perhaps not officially in the traditional way. However, they do surrender all income from most of the land they own to the government. Even when you factor in the money they get back from the treasury to carry out royal duties, this still means giving the government about 75% of all their income to spend as public money on whatever they choose as they do taxes from the ordinary person! If they weren't the monarch, the family would still own this land as a wealthy landowner anyway and be taxed on it in the normal way (including probably exploiting all the existing loopholes they could). Thus as well as lost tourism revenue, the government would have a much lower proportion of the Windsor family's income in formal taxation!!
@boxtradums0073 it may not be the case officially but if you do the maths considering the reality as it would be if they weren't the monarchy. The treasury get much more money from the Windsors under the monarchs arrangement than they would from normal citizens!
I get the joke but bizarrely, bees actually are extremely picky about their owner, stinging people they don't recognize and not hurting people they're comfortable with.
I kept bees and I’ve never heard of this. They sting if they sense alarm pheromones. If one is injured, she emits those. If your clothes have been stung (killing the bee), it leaves the pheromones on it, which makes the others aggressive. This might be why you might think they don’t like someone. The old adage “ if you leave them alone, they’ll leave you alone” is true. Even when harvesting honey, a little smoke camouflages the pheromone and they remain calm. Lastly, if you’re in their approach zone to the hive and intercept one on the way in, you may get stung. One possible reason you might think this is that the alarm pheromone smells very much like bananas and they may react if you smell like bananas, but I can’t say for sure. I worked with them for several years and participated in clubs and never heard anything about bees recognizing people.
The thing that gets me about the royals is that Charles says he’s a servant of the people. That is a load of rubbish because when did a servant ever get to say, “don’t speak to me unless I speak first”, or “you must bow and curtsey to me”. And when did a servant ever have more wealth than the master. That’s just a ploy to trick us into thinking they are okay. I don’t really care one way or the other…and that is the best thing because…they can fight hatred but they cannot fight apathy. I won’t live to see William on the throne I don’t think. But most definitely won’t see George, but quite frankly I think by the time it is George’s turn the monarchy will be finished altogether. But when it comes right down to it, the king, queen and one or two others are acceptable but the rest are just leeches. I actually heard bloody horrible Piss Morgan say that Catherine’s sisters husband’s brother was related to the royal family. excuse me while I 🤢🤮
I seen the Queen once, it was when she was in Northern Ireland she travelled down the road past my school so we lined up to see her. She drove by slow enough for me to actially see her.
I have zero emotional response for the royal family. When the Queen died I just thought 'It was bound to happen sooner or later, she's old. Old people die every day'. As for the kings coronation, I cared so much about that I avoided anything to do with it. Laughed at this video though.
Is Andrew going to wait until after his brother's coronation to molest the dogs?? Oh! & a second question here: Why is that creep not in an American Jail??
British people laugh at the North Koreans thinking the Kim's are Gods, while prepping the Stone of Destiny to appoint a man King who believes he was chosen by God to reign. Hilarious
I don't think British people laugh at North Koreans for thinking the Kims are gods (if they even do so), we feel sorry for the North Koreans because the Kims have established a violent, repressive regime that has impoverished an entire nation and kills or exiles anyone who dares ask for a loaf of bread to feed their children.
I really like the Indian system, where you vote for someone to be the prime minister, and someone else as head of state. You could vote for basically anyone you like who you think represents the country well.
@@chazzerbox131 just because something is old doesnt mean it shouldnt be changed. Sure having a hereditary line of monarchs leading the country is “history” but it doesnt reflect the people well and never has done. Only democracy can reflect the peoples opinion and culture, and in an increasingly more diverse Britain i think a predominately London based white family cannot represent everyone. Plus we can seperate the new monarchy form the Anglican church, as religion should not touch politics and etc.

One of the few I have felt any positive feelings tiowards Charles Windsor is when he did the fist bump. He's exactly like all extremely wealthy men; except he has been trained into diplomacy; so he's smoother, has a "posh" accent; and loads of everything that counts as wealth. One dynasty that is delighted to attend the coronation is the German branch of Charles' Hanoverian House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. They will have front row seats to marvel at the continuation of England's German monarchy dating back to 4AD.

I wish Scotland was independent so we could dump the monarchy. Pathetic we still put up with this. EU citizens were banned from voting in the EU referendum but English and EU citizens were allowed to vote in Scottish referendum, which swung the vote. A majority of Scots voted to leave.
A majority of Scots voted not to leave, where are you getting your polling data from? Should also be noted that the only nationalist majority areas were the big cities, the countryside and rural areas detested the idea of independence for some odd reason Assuming we only let Scots vote, actual scots, not people from big cities who migrated from some Eastern European country, then it would definitely still be in favour of no independence

English people living in Scotland were the only ones allowed to vote and rightfully so since Scotland is their home and they would be affected massively by such an event. At the moment, Charlie-boy is not my monarch. Maybe if Meg and Harry come back.
I can't see Charles having the same influence as his mother ever tbf I mean she was The Queen respected by the world over. Charles is too old he should have just past it on to William but at the same time I can see him dismantling the Monarch when he comes to power... so maybe right now Charles is the best option. "Kind of" outdated? Do you mean of the "kind of" a bad idea before it ever began variety of outdated? If so, then yes, I agree. However, the "massive benefit" to the UK economy is hogwash propaganda.
