@@joneschilufya867that decision was manipulated by ECL and it is going to be reviewed by a referendum. Those constitutional judges who made this problem will be called to come and explain on what did they base their decision to say Lungu was eligible when he did his 2 terms. The constitution is very it doesn't need rocket science to interpret, we are not constitutional lawyers but the English in the text is very simple. The constitution was manipulated but was not changed so that decision is void. Lungu must just relax as a former president period.

If there’s evidence that the judgement was wrong then what we need is a commission of inquiry to discipline the erring judges but the judgement itself given it was made by the courts shud stand. That’s how u give the judicially Credibility.
@@joneschilufya867 But remember the decision was taken arbitrary in other words under duress. However I'm handicapped because I didn't see the full judgment of the judges to this effect. Hence I'm saying this judgement at the time did not change the principle of the constitution, which states that a person sworn in twice and held office twice is not eligible for a third term. I want to see how the judgement was framed to counter this clause in the constitution. Otherwise this was a malicious judgement and the judges misdirected themselves in law. This judgement cannot be published as case law it will be setting a dangerous precedent. I'm still of the view that if like you say the judges concerned are found wanting in that commission of inquiry, then even their decision will be null and void. I just want to see their judgement to see how they explained the clause in the constitution about being sworn in twice. Finishing a term is not an argument.

You have explained ECL’s case better than some of our so called constitutional court lawyers like our young man John Sangwa who tried to give Lungu comfort that he is eligible to stand. If ECL supporters claim that he did not serve two terms, then the Law should prosecute the person who served after the demise of Sata for illegally ruling Zambia. And if Lungu claims that he is the same Lungu who ruled Zambia after the demise of Sata, then, he has served twice & is not eligible to go for a third term. So, anyone going for a third term should be not be allowed
I started, following you at the beginning i was seen sense in your words but now,i have hearing your word sounding like a cadre and as a person who is bitter for some people.
The opposition should find another person that ECL should endorse. This thing of putting too much trust in individuals is part of the reason why we are in trouble. UPND has failed, but is the solution bringing ECL back who has admitted making mistakes? ECL can still participate in another position if he still wants to be in politics. There is no speaker without an audience, just like there's no audience if there's no sound to give an 👂ear to.
