Honestly, for the last two years i've felt you're the most underrated poketuber/youtuber. Such quality, inventiveness and passion. Will keep sharing you in any way i can
Bending boost is a really interesting mechanic as it also teaches people to have a balanced team. Also, the team at the end of book 1 is Altaria, Mudkip, Murcrow, Emolga, Hisuian Zorark, and an Ice Lycanrock. Mudkip might be a marshstomp it depends on stuff. I would also be catching pokemon along the way the most notable of my back team would be Froakie, a couple Eevee, a Milotic, a Frostlass, alpha Haunter, Phantump, Chimchar, Mudbray, Sliggoo, Vileplume, Dratini, a few Snorunt, and Alolan Vulpix.
I wanted to add a little story on how each pokemon here would join the team it was really the Gaang and not just me playing it as a game since I thought that it would be cute. It starts after coming back from the wreckage: The pair of eevees would be first, Aang plays with them in the village and they chose to become his pokemon. He then gets a feebas when he calls one cute after Sokka calls it ugly. They then head to the Everstorm Tundra and get lost, a hisuian zorua finds them and helps lead them to where they need to go joining the team. Afterwards would be the first snorunt who stalks the gaang, aang catches it when Sokka eggs him on that he isn't gonna be a good pokemon master if he can't catch good pokemon. Aang first wants to release the snorunt latter when they get back to the southern water tribe but the snorunt wants to stay with him. Last member for the southern water tribe area would be a rockruff who is the pup of the noble and joins the team after aang defeats the noble as a sort of blessing from the noble other than water bending. It is also during the battle that feebas evolves into milotic(going by anime logic here). Alpha Haunter wouldn't be caught by the gaang in this version. Next would be the Emolga at the southern air temple, it takes the place of momo. Aang gets Froakie when Suki captures them on Kyoshi island a small squad of froakie are following her around, one of them is caught by Sokka who later trades it to aang when the little frog shows an interest in his water bending and the treeko aang caught wants nothing to do with bending and is instead much more interesting in the boomerang sokka has. The Phantump is another blessing by the noble pokemon but aang also catches a murkrow by accident when it steals a Pokeball catching itself. the battle with the noble is also when his snorunt evolves into a frostlass. Murkrow is a bit of an annoyance at first but becomes incredibly loyal and part of the main team when Altaria is hurt taking an attack meant for murkrow. Chimchar shows them a secret way past a large group of guards and stays with aang through the whole journey on crescent isle with aang catching him right before leaving. Mudbray happened during the crossing aang saves them from the alpha gligor and then mudbray saves him back joining the team on the other side. Sliggoo happened during the whole frog sickness thing, aang also caught a crogunk who is later released in the great swamp in book 2(I don't particularly like crogunk which is why I'm not catching it). Gloom is caught during the whole bato of the water tribe incident but had been following them for a while after aang is kind to it when looking for frogs. the whole blue spirit part of the episode is when zorua evolves into zorark. Dratini is caught just before getting to the north pole when sokka once again says he wont be a good pokemon master without good pokemon, the pair get in a bit of a fight over aangs current pokemon and aang ends up catching dratini after running away and spilling his heart out to the pokemon when the dratini finds him sitting on an iceberg alone. The snorunt pair join after getting to the northern water tribe, they form a massive crush on aangs frostlass and start following it around they keep trying to sneak into where aang and the gaang are staying and aang captures them. Last is Vulpix, this happens when zuko takes aang out into the ice, when aang wakes up an alolan Vulpix is there and all but forces their way onto the team. Sometime during the siege rockruff evolves into lycanrock.
@@chebikitty5566 This is all well and good, but I think he mixed up the types and symbols. He placed what looks like the Airbending types under the Water Symbol, Water under Earth, and Earth under Air. Fire seems like the only thing he listed accurately.
13:46 I think that each Element can only clearly have 3 types, with some types counting as part one element part another. Eg, ‘Grass ‘ should give 5 points to Earth, 5 to water. ‘Fairy’ should be half Air, half water (as water is the healing element). ‘Fighting’ should be half earth half fire. ‘Elec’ can be air/ fire. ‘steel’ can be earth/fire. ‘Poison’ can be water/fire.
Loved the video! Everything from just how natural the pokemon's placements and selections were, the new type, a mechanic that just works beautifully with how the Avatar series works, the music used (the Noble Pokemon theme GOES SO HARD!), and even some of the locations too. Like, respect for the Korra book 2 reference with the Everstorm. As for my squad by book 1's end, I'll go with the following: Mudkip (starter) Lycanroc variant Swablu/Altaria Trevenant variant Considering only 2 of the bending styles are learned as of now (Air and Water), I wanted to reflect that in the team. The last 2 slots will be filled in as the series progresses. Once again, bravo on the video
Incredible video! Beautiful visuals and very nice music choices (hidden highlands, my beloved). One can really feel your passion listening and witnessing the work that went into the video. As for my team, I think I would go with : - Incineroar - lycanroc variant - Dhelmise - Vaporeon, or some other water type. - Altaria, in reference to our trusty companion moving us across the map.
We’ve all been waiting for this since he talked about the various interpretations, and now that it’s here he did not disappoint. Edit: Just occurred to me, if this is legends, would LoK (Legend of Korra) be the time where everything has its original state?
You did Avatar x Pokemon wonderfully. I can't wait for the next episode!! As for my team: Wally the Mudkip/Marshtomp Terra the Leafeon Andreas the Salandit/Feronin Slitherbeast the Rockruff/Lycanroc Joe Sparrow the Swablu/Altaria Palistrom the Phantump/Trevanent
Really love this mashup! My main team as of Book 1's end would be these: Litten (I always go for Fire Starters, would evolve during Siege of the North) Taillow (used one for Sapphire and is one of my favorite Pokemon) Rockruff (Love the design and used on for my Sun playthrough) Buizel (used one for my Pearl playthrough, also another favorite) Drifblim (Love the evolution it got for this series) Scyther (used one for my Legends playthrough)
You know, this series made me think about what kind of media would appear in the pokemon world And like damn this would be the pokemon world's version of Avatar the Last Air Bender Looking forward to the next videos for this!
I chose chespin as my starter, catch a rockruff, Eevee, feebass, zorua, froakie, Treeko, airiados, phantump, salandit, crogunk, vulpix, My main team at the end would be Lycanrock, greninja, Toxicroak, trevanent, umbreon and airiados. P.S. this was really cool! Can't wait to see the next part if you decide to make it :D
I am loving this series!! One big question for you, though? Will there be any more Pandoran Pokemon?? The laws and functions of the entirety of Avatar is so different than the Pokemon world, and would likely lead to more spiritual, or even elementally powered up, forms of pokemon!! Im really excited to see how you take this story!!!
Yes! You have only met a third of the total new variants/original Pokémon, as this is only one third of the story and region. (I also love that you called it Pandora, as in the other Avatar franchise.)
I’ve always thought Avatar x Pokémon were the perfect mash up and seeing this made my heart smile 😅 my team going into book 2 would be: Marshtomp, Umbreon, hisuian zorua, Alpha Gliscor, and Alolan ninetales. Also would Umbreon be able to boost water bending due to its connection with the moon?
Awesome video, I do have to point out that the types and bending groups were a bit mixed up, and as for my team, I'm gonna work on that and come back lol.
I for one love the hell out of this hybrid universe. I’m especially curious as to who the other Divine Beasts would be. Here’s my take on who I think they could be: Kyogre- divine beast of water Groudon- divine beast of earth Makes complete sense given their rivalry in normal pokemon and earth and water being two opposite elements. Rayquaza- divine beast of air Ray could also be the divine beast of fire due to its dragon typing, but I feel air is more fitting for it, as it has been shown to be capable of controlling the winds around it to dispel storms. Ho-Oh- divine beast of fire The beast of fire is a bit more difficult to settle on, as there’s plenty of incredibly strong fire types, but I feel as though Ho-Oh is the most fitting, given its resemblance to a phoenix.
Not sure you're aware. but at 13:07. you have the Water bending symbol, Earth Bending Symbol, and Air Bending Symbols all wrong. cause at 13:30, you showed an example that if it's a Water/Ice type it's a 10+ to Waterbending, but back at 13:07 you have those under the Earthbending symbol. I believe the symbols should have been Flying/Psychic/Fairy/Ghost for *Airbending*, Water/Ice/Grass/Poison for *Waterbending* and Ground/Rock/Steel/Fighting for *Earthbending*.
I have this weird idea that skipping character creation as a whole would be an option, giving you a default male Avatar with a default name (Aang, obviously), for those who want to be *pure* on the story (or just speedrun)
My two favorite franchises mixed together, a dream come true 😍 so excited for more like this I can see what will be used as the divine beasts of earth and air, but im curious what will be used for fire 🤔
Dude this video was amazing. A really cool adaptation and I think prioritising making it sound like a viable game instead of a one to one with Avatar was a great choice. The mon at the end! OH MY GOSH. A PERFECT variant. So keen for Book 2.
Though this is just a concept, if this was like legends with side quests I could imagine a side quest described as this: Kanna of Lycanroc Cove needs a Magby to help her voyage in the cold harsh tundra due to a shortage in fur for clothing to the eastern outpost. She tells you they roam near the wreckage but shes too scared to go there herself. The reward is 3 poke balls
Current team: Aqua the Marshtomp, Winter the Lycanroc, Theo the Leafeon, Chip the Furret, Ace the Swellow, Gooz the H. Sliggoo Standby: Prinplup, Magikarp, Clobbopus, A. Sandslash, H. Zorua, Frogadier, Buizel, Phantump, Monferno, Rufflet, Dratini, Sneasel, Frillish, A. Vulpix
Will Scizor be in future videos? I imagine it would probably be available during book three in that one village with the fire nation factory where maybe you can obtain a metal coat somewhere in the facility.
This is one of the best crossovers I’ve ever seen. Here’s my team Chespin-Quilladin Froakie-frogedier-greninja Chimchar-monferno-infernape Avian rockruff-avian lycanroc Hisuian zorua-hisuian zoroark Avian phantump-avian trevanant Dratini Phanpy In the box or something: Eevee-espeon,scyther-kleavor,treecko-grovyle,pancham,15 eevee,12 swablu,burgmite,spheal,5 phanpy, croagunk, skorupi, magby, elekid, galarian meowth, zephlim
Loving this so far! By the end of Book 1, while id've caught a lot more, the pokemon I'd be using most would be (without consideration for how much evolution i could end up seeing) Mudkip, Eevee, Piplup, Swablu, Scyther, Gligar, Hisuian Sligoo, and Sneasel which honestly, gives me a greater mix of Bending Boost potential that I really thought I'd be able to have so early IG if i had to make a team of 6, (assuming about level 20-25?), I'd go; Prinplup, Sneasel, Hisuian Sliggoo, Scyther, Gligar, and Sylveon this would give me for overall bending boost: Water +20 (+10 Prinplup, +10 Sneasel), Earth +20 (+10 Sliggoo, +10 Gligar ), Fire +20 (+10 Sneasel, +10 Sliggoo), Air +30 (Scyther +10, Gligar +10, Sylveon +10)
My team is: Quilladin(I don't care if people hate on it I love this pokemon line) Lycanroc Feronin(if it can be achieved at the end of book 1) Phantump Altaria Eevee
Team at the end of Book One- Altaria, Chespin (likely evolved), Galarian Farfetch'd, Gyardos, Scyther, and Phantump. If the base alteria you wake with isn't usable in combat then I'd have a Skarmory.
13:08 Wait . Did you really assign ‘water and ice’ to EARTH!!?? And you literally put ‘Ground, Rock, Steel’ with AIR!!!??? I think you mixed up which symbols are which. You put the water symbol over the air types, the earth symbol over the water types, and the air symbol over the earth.
Game balance wise, having 4 types weak to it and having 3 immunities seems a bit too strong for the Spirit type. I understand the justification for it but in my opinion having Normal as an immunity sound like a bad wrap for the Normal type given that there are already other types resistant and immune to it. Having 4 types to be strong against isn't as bad seeing Fighting types are strong against 4 types too but they don't have any immunities. Just my opinion.
@@TamValleyProductions thanks, I’m wondering because when I see fakemon projects I like to imagine what my pokémon would look like at the end of the video whether the project is told in one sitting or in smaller sections
The sillouettes don't work at least for someone like me who's never watched Avatar it just translates into "This person is not important" and because it's almost all sillouettes it's as if no one is important. You could say that perhpas the purpose is to focus on the Pokemon if that's the case there's no need for the sillouettes. But I can see that you put alot of work in this it's just that you being so familiar with the Avatar franchise you couldn't really be expected to be good at conveying the story to nonfans via the pokemon metaphor
I’d say the level scaling is similar to any other Pokémon game. So for this being a third of the way through the ‘main game’, the level curve would place most teams around level 25-30 to end this one.
