If money didn't matter, then I would love to explore our planet. I want to swim in caves, explore our mountains, and navigate through our jungles with a crew. That would be a dream come true. I wanted to become a marine biologist so I could study deep sea marine life...but the money is horrible. Therefore, I'm doing nursing...

This video really touched me, I am unemployed at the moment and finally using the money I saved for years working in a office to start my online business selling apparel and such. Working for myself is something I always wanted to do. Travel, meet new people, and have my company gives me joy and happiness. I hated working in a office, at a desk where I received zero respect or appreciation. Always attending and reporting to a boss who was mean and cruel. I'm finally quit and never felt more free.

This was something I really needed to hear. Such an inspiration

This video is a great way to remind us what we should find passionately to do in life and to start with a new fresh year.

I look at it this way: If the point of money is to make your life as comfortable as possible, and to buy things that make you happy, then having a low-paying job that you love doing gives you the same comfort and happiness that a high-paying job you hate doing would. So it's better to do something you love and not get paid a lot, than to do something you hate and get paid a lot. Because the money wouldn't buy you any more happiness than you would have if you were doing what you love.

I've found my answer after watching this video ;) tks a lot I have spent almost 5 years learning something make me feel so worthless et useless. I hated myself for a long time. But I'm gonna give it up and begin a new adventure at a new place, learn what I desire and follow my heart

They come to me and say, “Well, uh, we’re getting out of college, and we haven’t the faintest idea of what we want to do.” So I always ask the question, “What would you like to do if money were no object? How would you REALLY enjoy spending your life?” Well, it’s so amazing. As a result of our kind of educational system, crowds of students say, “Well, we’d like to be painters, we’d like to be poets, we’d like to be writers. But as everybody knows you can’t earn any money that way.” Or another person says, “I’d like to live an out-of-doors life and ride horses.” I said, “Do you want to teach at a riding school? Let’s go through with it. What do you want to do?” When we finally got down to something which the individual says he really wants to do. I will say to him, “you do that, and forget the money. Because if you say that getting the money is the most important thing, you will spend your life completely wasting your time. You will be doing things you don’t like doing in order to go on living that is to go on doing things you don’t like doing. Which is STUPID! Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing than a long life spent in a miserable way.” And after all, if you do really like what you're doing, it doesn’t matter what it is, you can eventually become a master of it. It’s the only way to become a master of something, to be really with it. And then you’ll be able to get a good fee for whatever it is. So don’t worry too much. Somebody’s interested in everything. And anything you can be interested in, you’ll find others who are. But it’s absolutely stupid to spend your time doing things you don’t like in order to go on doing things you don’t like and to teach your children to follow in the same track. See, what we’re doing is we’re bringing up children, and educating them to live the same sort of lives we’re living, in order that they may justify themselves and find satisfaction in life by bringing up their children to bring up their children to do the same thing. So, it’s all retch and no vomit. It never gets there! And so therefore it’s so important to consider this question. “What do I desire?”

If you ask me, I'd stop working for money, & start spending time doing what I'd really love to. E.g. enjoying myself, travelling to many places, learning what I'm curious about & so on.

Explore and experience all I can as we are naturally wired to do so... Unfortunately money is the only thing stopping me and probably lots of others. Sad the world revolves around money

thats terrible advice, it would be much wiser to earn anough money to afford your passion, and earing lots of money doesnt entail a single boring job, if you really want to earn money, you have to have ambition and drive, you have to know when to quit, and constantly be on the look out for opportunity. you have to make your own luck. but sitting at the same hopeless job and complaining you dont have enough money for your passion is stupid.

i'm doing a job i can do, that pays well. so i can save money and do the things i want later in life. how i see it, is i get to do the things i love on the weekends, plant seeds, fiddle about in the garden, embroidery, exercise, play with my 2 cats etc.

If money didin't matter, some people would be lazy because they wouldn't have their main goal, to earn money, but some people just wants to help other people and just do what they want, but anyway, buildings wouldn't exist as many as today because there would only be a few construction workers, even the world might import and export construction workers. If money didn't matter, there would be another thing to matter like, we would use the old barter system as currency, or some people might have not existed, but on the brightside, there would only be a few orphans today, some wars might not have sparked, people can do what they want. Just remember, every pros has it's cons, people can do what they want? Some theme parks might not have existed, or there would have been less items on shops or malls because there are a very few workers to do it. Even in education, if children wouldn't have to study anymore, then who would do anything? if they doesn't even know how to read and write. Money had been a huge part of society, if money didn't matter, the world today might have been a very different place.

I would like to be a filmmaker but I think it's difficult to earn money by doing that. The video motivates me to do it, but also one day I want to be able to buy my dream house, my dream car and be able to live a life without worries and with children. Because that is also something I want to achieve. What do you think? I would appreciate some tips.

I wish I could be a wildlife biologist. I want to travel the world, discover new species, but the money isn't there. So I settled on the military. It's the only way to see the world and make a living. Eventually I want to be an airline pilot to travel even more.

I wanted to travel to Europe. So, I found a travel agent school. I missed horse's and ponies. So, I got a job at The Stables. I went from stable girl, to wrangler, to English Riding Instructor.

I would have my own garden, raise farm animals or catch fishes then swim @ sea or hike near the mountains.. happy & fulfilling life where money doesn't slave us.

If money were not a problem, I would love to live near the sea to go shopping daily and live with the fish, I would also like to share all the time with my family, live together and travel with them all over the world. I would like to take you to the Canary Islands and also know Paris.

If money were no object, I could study in another country, in a prestigious university like Harvard. In this way, my knowledge would be more complete. Although, I think that if money were no object, life would be boring since money is the motivation of most people in the world.

You do realize money will always exist in one way shape or form? Whether it's servitude, gold, currency, slavery it will always be there. A world without money in terms of gold silver and or currency, would be a far more unjust world than the one we live in today.

Travel, really. Like all the rest of the people. I'd like to stay in an apartment for a month in each country and do particular odd jobs, like being a waitress, selling fish, farming, painting, writing, whatever suits what I'm feeling in a certain country because I'd like to gain experience. Experiencing new things is the number one thing I'd like to do. I want to experience what it's like to be a local in some other country and meet other locals and understand their culture. I want to experience what it's like to live simply. But most of all, I'd like to keep learning. After I graduate engineering, I'd like to take up astrobiology, and after that, art, then philosophy, etc. But if money didn't exist, we'd still find a different currency to be superior, like owning a lot of land, livestock or farms. And killing to get those things, just like we kill for money. Humans will never learn. It's been this way since the dawn of time.

If money didn't matter I don't know what to do, when we are born our brains are like a blank hard drive. Mine has been programmed by society to go to work.
