i was married for 47 yrs been with him for 52 yrs and 6 yrs he cheated on me i tried to tell him she .didnt want him he wouldnt listen i left him 3 times said it would change never did so left him 5 yrs ago i have no feelings for him i do care but i cant do it again our divorce was finally over last jan . i am much better health now but about a month after i left she dumped him he came to me told me i could come back home now i said oh hell no he said he would never chase me i said fine lol but thats all he has done every week i cant trust him i will not go back this is the first song i was going to sing to him but never did . thank you greg

He met his wife when he was a teenager, they secretly married as she was his manager and she was 16 yrs older than Randy. Divorced after 19 yrs . At 54 he had a terrible stroke which caused him to retire.

If he truly loves her, he would try anything he could to get her back. He would also want to know that he asked instead of staying quiet and never knowing for sure what would have happened. Otherwise, pride and ego are controlling your actions and that's not really love.

Not a huge country fan other than randy, George s, garth b, Travis t and Alan j..... all because of my dad. But this one gets me in my feels. My first true love and I didn't make it for multiple reasons but the main being, at the time, interracial relationships and society were fround upon by society in general but specifically by my family. I was 18 in 1986 and even though I married and had kids (she did too btw) I still think of what we could of had. I wish I was more defiant and went against the grain. Side note I love my life and wouldn't change what I have after these many years but she's the first person I think of when I hear this song. Great reaction
