Lets face it Dubai is expensive and if you're not rich you're not going to be doing a lot. I'm not rich either but I'll outline some of the stuff i couldn't do the first time but was able to do the second time.

The Expo's Waterfall is beautiful. Are the people friendly in Dubai? The Island's first resident arrived there in 2006, so everyone is from some place else. OMG! The place where you guys had different foods from different cultures, to choose from sounded interesting. Dubai looks like paradise on earth.

You don't rest much. Did you take a little 4x4 trip outside of the city? If you are headed to Chiang Mai soon, take a look at the air quality before you go. This time of year, northern Thailand is smokey.
