Public service announcement: Please schedule a colonoscopy as soon as you are eligible. The actual procedure doesn't hurt. And no discomfort after the procedure. The only difficult part is the prep drink.

On, March 16th, 2022, I had a large tumor removed from my colon. I came to realize later that it corresponded to the same area where I was regularly wearing my cell phone for years. Could cell phone radiation have caused or contributed to this tumor? It's something to think about. Radiation is known to be very harmful. Since cell phones act as transmitters and receivers. Could someone be directing higher concentrations of energy toward any particular cell Phone?

The risk factors are ridiculous. Not one person I currently know has ANY of those factors. Smoking? I mean like nobody under 40 in the US smokes. These risk factors have to be studied...artificial sugars? Pesticides? Air pollution? Nah forgot about the real culprits. Young ppl are dying and they are all healthy

Became full what you read or see on line regarding colorectal cancer or any cancer. When I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer the best advice I received from oncologist and nurse Navigator was to stay away from internet to look for answers. The best source is oncology team because they know your exact case. I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer with tumor found in the upper sigmoid junction. I was lucky the cancer hadn't spread. I had resection surgery, recovery and then a total of 6 months chemo which included 6 weeks of radiation. As of today treatment is completed and I'm currently NED (no evidence of disease detected). Cancer is a difficult journey. My best advice is to rely on oncology team for all concerns and questions.

May I suggest two possible reasons that colon cancer is going up especially in the young population. 1) inadequate sleep. 2) melatonin suppression by blue light at night, such as from electronics.
