Thank you so much for sharing this video!!!!! I watched it several weeks ago, and then I watched a few videos from Dr. Victory. My fertility clinic was not having me use trigger shots because they supposedly wouldn’t make a difference since the letrozole was causing me to ovulate. Months go by with no luck. This video changed everything. I explained the study to my provider about how chances of pregnancy are higher when you take a trigger shot when you get a positive ovulation test, and she said she never heard about that before. She prescribed me the shot for the first time, and guess what happened. After a year and a half of trying to conceive our second baby, I’m pregnant!!! 😆💗 She wanted me to trigger (based on my follicle size) the day of my ultrasound, but I didn’t get a positive ovulation test until a few days later. I trusted my body and triggered then. I’m so thankful to the Lord, and I’m wondering if He led me to this video. 🤰🙌

Thanks for this information. It makes total sense about the body talking. We need to have more trust in that. For me, In June, I did a medicated cycle with Letrozole and HCG trigger. My ovaries hurt so much when I triggered at 24mm. I had two “mature” follicles and still was unsuccessful. I’m 28 years old. This month, I did Letrozole and planned to trigger but my day 14 revealed 1 30mm follicle. Many say it’s too big. Bloodwork same day, showed a huge natural LH surge, so I did not need to trigger and did the IUI the next day. I’m currently 8DPO. Maybe my follicles are larger when they mature! And in June we triggered too early. Hoping this is my month

I started testing my lh surge on day cd5. By cd12, at 430am it was low .22 but higher than the rest of my surges. That same day i had my ultrasound and bloodwork done at 9am. The nurse called me at 130pm and said trigger asap and also my blood work showed i was in a surge. At 4:05pm i took my shot and at 4:10pm i tested my surge and it was high 1.4. So my thinking was I was already surged like the nurse said around 930am that morning, because the trigger shot was administered 5 mins before i tested again it couldn't have raised that high, that quick. So we we're scheduled the next day at 930am for our IUI. I had two follicles, one on the right was 19, left was 18. It's been 24hrs since my IUI and slightly cramping but a little bloated. So from your video, you said %30 chance. Im 41, so ill bring that down to %10. But I've never been pregnant in my life so %10-%30 chance of pregnancy is great! It's in God's hands, he has the final say.

Does this mean that you would give yourself the trigger shot at the time of your peak lh?
@premomfertility
@premomfertility 11 месяцев назад
The trigger shot is typically given when a significant LH surge is detected, signaling that ovulation is imminent, usually within 24-36 hours. Howeverm, the precise timing is guided by your healthcare provider to optimize fertility treatments.

my cycle was cancelled due to too many follicles that might mature. One was 17.9, 2 at 16 and like 2-3 at 14 and the rest were 10 and under. I went home and thought about it for a day, we didin't trigger and waited 2 days and baby danced. I took the risk because we tried 17 times with no luck. I figured if we have more than 2 i came to terms that i would do reduction but hopefully it doesn't get to that. I dont think my follicles were too mature anyway, maybe the 17.9 and 16 ones which are 3 total. Hope it works 🤞 Would love to know the stats for each number of follicles without trigger shot. Any studies on this?

Hello, getting pregnant after the age of 40 is possible, but fertility may decline. If you've missed your period and are trying to conceive, consider taking a pregnancy test. If you're not pregnant but want to conceive, consult with a healthcare provider as they can offer personalized guidance and care. Good luck!

Hi, thanks for the video! I had a question: would it make sense to take an hgc trigger shot during LH surge before IUI WITHOUT taking Letrozole or Clomid? I am 38 and doing IUI at home with (expensive!) frozen sperm (IUI is being done by a friend who is an experienced NP). We already had one round which didn't work. I ovulate normally and don't want to do medicated IUI in the clinic yet (mostly because of cost) but would love to try anything that would up my chances from 9% if possible!
@premomfertility
@premomfertility 7 месяцев назад
It's possible to use an hCG trigger shot to time ovulation more precisely during an LH surge before IUI, even without using Letrozole or Clomid. The trigger shot can help ensure that ovulation occurs at the optimal time for insemination. However, it's essential to discuss this option with your healthcare provider to determine if it's the right choice for you, especially given your specific circumstances and preferences. They can provide personalized advice based on your situation and help you make an informed decision.

What if you are doing medication and timed intercourse. Do you also do the trigger when you get your Lh peak for best possible outcome?
@premomfertility
@premomfertility Месяц назад
Yes, if you're using medication and timed intercourse for conception, it's often beneficial to use a trigger shot when you detect your LH peak. The trigger shot can help precisely time ovulation, improving the chances of successful conception. Always follow your healthcare provider's guidance for the best results. 🌟

Hello, It's good to explore options! IUI with donor sperm might be a good choice. Since you're 32 and haven't been pregnant before, talking to a fertility specialist could help find the best option for you. Take care!

@premomfertility
@premomfertility Год назад
Tori, irregular LH surges don't rule out ovulation and pregnancy. Getting a positive LH result occasionally means you can still release an egg and conceive. Track other signs like cervical mucus or basal body temperature for ovulation. Good luck!

If a trigger shot is given when the follicle is at 18mm, could it be that the follicle is not ready? What are the chances of ovulation not happening?
@premomfertility
@premomfertility 10 месяцев назад
When a follicle reaches around 18mm, it's typically considered mature and ready for ovulation. While there's a chance that ovulation might not happen despite the trigger shot, this likelihood is relatively low. The decision to administer the trigger shot takes various factors into account, such as the growth rate of the follicle, hormone levels, and the overall picture of the ovarian follicles. If you have concerns about the effectiveness of the trigger shot or if you suspect any issues with your fertility treatment, it's best to discuss them with your healthcare provider. They can provide personalized guidance and adjustments to your treatment plan as needed. Best regards, Leyla Premom Support Team

Hi nurse Linda. Thank you for this vid, and for educating women to TRUST the power of their bodies! I'm an RN BSN, looking for a video of an IUI in case our midwife is delivering a baby when my wife ovulates and we've got $1K worth of washed sperm waiting to be infused into her uterus. I've got a speculum, good knowledge of sterile procedure, and a fair bit of experience inserting catheters through small holes. Would love to watch it done before doing it myself though. Do you know of a place I could find a vid like this. Thank you again for your work!

What if your ovary is releasing the egg before it’s mature enough?
@premomfertility
@premomfertility 4 месяца назад
If an ovary releases an egg before it's fully matured, it's referred to as premature ovulation or premature ovulatory failure. This may affect fertility by reducing the chances of successful conception. When the egg is released prematurely, it may not be fully developed or capable of being fertilized by sperm. Additionally, premature ovulation can disrupt the timing of intercourse in relation to ovulation, making it more difficult to conceive. If you suspect that you may be experiencing premature ovulation or if you're having difficulty conceiving, it's essential to consult with a healthcare provider or fertility specialist. They can conduct tests to assess your ovarian function, hormone levels, and overall fertility health.
