Totally agree with Mark Parsons that they need some sort of a snap system so that everything doesn't float around as you're trying to locate something, especially trying to put in buildings square to each other and the Landscaping tool also. The way it was done in fs19 is so much better
Hey man, thanks for the video. Good to know all sheep produce the same amount of wool, despite what other say. Just a question: when your sheep barn is full, what will happen with the reproduced lambs? And what is the best way? I like to fill the pasture/barn half full, when they reproduce and the lambs are at the age for max wool production, I then sell the oldest sheep. And then wait for the new ones to reproduce. Would like to know what the most efficient rotation way is
Have you come across a "snap to grid" option anywhere in the new build mode? It was much easier to place stuff that way in 19 if you wanted things to line up.
I don’t know if you’ve noticed but you can no longer get the 36 month old black Welch mountain sheep since the update. All the sheep are either newborn or 8 months old.
With seasons, and years now...do they die of old age? Or stop breeding at a certain age? For reference, Google says sheep live 10-12 years and breeding declines after 6 or 7 years.
A little guide to how to pronounce Bentheim It’s two syllables Bent and heim Bent is pronounced similar to the English word „bend“ and heim is like „hi“ with an „m“ at the end. So Bentheim to you is like bend+hi+m
Great video! Farmer Klein, I know you probably have a massive backlog but I wanted to see if you would be able to do a video on tree planting. I found out today that you can plant different types of trees in 22 and there is a bit of confusion on Reddit in regards to growth duration. Would you be able to plant all the different tree types and determine how long trees take to mature in ?
To be sure: Maybe you can do a short test to raise a "standard" sheep to the same age ass when you buy the adult black welsh sheep? I know that you can interpolate the calculation from the young sheep butt maybe? :) Thnx for the research.
For anyone who finds the info helpful adult sheep consume roughly 50l of grass/Hay a month and 20l of water and produce 16l of wool per month on average over a year. Adult sheep roughly birth twice a year. Lambs consumption goes up roughly 10l a month until 6 months when it stabilises at 50l month, water is 20l in their first year they roughly produce 8l of wool a month. Tested on Hard, on 1 day month seasons, running August to August.
Hi Farmer Klein. Thank you for this video. I'm playing on WestBridge Hills 22 and I read the information on sheep and saw that they need water, and purchased a Joskin Water trailer. Well, I also have a large sheep pen. I believe you said that for a large sheep pen I don't need to give them water because there's something inside that will give them water automatically. Can I get rid of the Joskin water trailer? Thx.
When you pens are full, which sheep do you sell off and not lose wool for profit? Can you please tell me, I have over 120 sheep and my pens are full, but not sure what to sell.
Young sheep do not produce wool or if they do they produce less than older sheep. I would sell off the younger ones that are not reproductive age and as such likley put out very little wool.
no death in base game FS22. Giants believes to maintain their game age rating they should not delve to deep into the overall livecycle of animals. IE Boy meets Girl make offspring and old age. its one reason there are not differnt genders of animals also.
I think they max out at 30 months although in my own play o have not gotten that far and given the reproduction rate and the maturity age I suspect most players will struggle to keep sheep of any qty that long before they max out the pen or pens capacitys.
Not tested by me. My guess is it would be normalized to total monthly output so a player running 28 day months would not have 28 times the producton output as a 1 day a month player.
@@FarmerKlein Thank you for replying was my intial though. For example if a sheep consumes 50l of grass and produces 16l of wool a month, then for some one running 5 day months it should be 10l of grass a day and 3.2l of wool..... If I get a chance ill test this over the weekend.
Anyone else have an issue with sheep only producing 5L of wool? Cause I have sold and rebought sheep. But then back in the trailer and then back in the stables and I can’t get them to produce or reproduce. Played 4 hours the other day and when through 5 in game days and still wouldn’t do anything. I don’t know what to do. Any tips?
What level was the productivity? If it was an outside pasture did they have water? If their health and productiivty are low they wont reproduce. They also wont reproduce if you purchased the young ones vs the older ones and that can also affect wool production.
@@FarmerKlein they are in the medium on. The rates are all fairly high but they just won’t produce wool. I have no young ones a few adults and a few that are old
