I'm all for eliminating income taxes altogether and having only a sales tax. That goes for federal and state level. I'm also for the elimination of property taxes because they are abused by local governments who assume that they own your property and that you are just paying rent to keep it. While we are at it, vehicle registrations should be one time, and you don't have to keep peying to renew your plates. I'm all for repealing as much of the government that intrudes on our lives as possible and returning true economic liberty to all.

I learned more in this one video than in my entire high school economic class.

Just remember, the government knows how much you owe and how much it owes you, but it is up to you to figure it out yourself.

If I were Harry I'd move to TX or FL.

In 1990 Congress raised taxes on buying yachts by 10%. Folks began buying yachts overseas. The tax increase killed the boat-building industry, and tax revenue from boat sales went down. Had to repeal it 3 years later. Want less of something? Tax it.

Even President Kennedy knew lower rates increased government revenue.

What you can do to prevent this, save a bunch (and I mean a LOT) into bonds and stocks inside and RRSP which is deducted from income. Then only take enough money to have an income under $50K. Your paying low taxes, and if you have enough, you just stop working and take it as income. Capital gain also get taxed at half rate.

Who was it that said you should be able to fill out your taxes on the back of a postcard? Whatever happened to federal income tax being temporary?

You wouldn't believe me if I told you that about 80% of what I earn is given into taxes. I regret working harder to get earn maybe an 100 extra dollars each year. What I want to know is what we are going to do about privatized equity. After all, a business can be bought, downsized, overworked, restructured, sold, and even put to a stop to existing by claiming bankruptcy. It ultimately screws anyone who's working for that business by being abused, demanded and even let go of any assets imbued with the business.

It’s interesting when you research exactly WHO legally qualifies for these taxes, reading the tax codes and every bit of tax law relating to income taxes. Turns out nobody living in the fifty states is lawfully qualified under the tax law language. Citizens living abroad earning a foreign income, foreigners living in the United States earning income and US citizens living on acquired land (Guam for instance). Definitions have been twisted and the language perverted to include everyone. Dave Champion has a lot to say about it. Others are catching on too. Federal employees of course, should pay a federal income tax, as they were highly guaranteed jobs during the Great Depression. The whole income tax thing boils down to definitions of what is property and then is that property taxable or a legitimate right of all people. My body should be my property. If my property (body) exerts physical/mental labor, any money derived from said activities should be 100% mine to keep. Then we just institute a national sale tax and dissolve the federal banking mafias and their global central bank overlords.

Well, do you go to a public school? “Yeah.” Is your library super cool? “It is.” Do you have a favorite park where you can play and relax? “Ah, yes.” Yeah, the government has to pay (They gotta pay!), for a lot of things we use each day (Everyday!), so it collects the money it needs with something known as a tax. Oh, you gotta pay a little added sales tax, when you buy stuff at the store, and if you own a house, a car, or a boat, that’s what property tax is for. Whether you make money by raising bunnies or just playing the sax (Saxophone playing), the government gets a cut, it’s called income tax. Oh! Some say we pay too much in tax, while others disagree, “Yeah!” “No!” What we get is nice, but there’s a price, ‘cause none of that stuff is free. Oh, from defense to education to repairs in the sidewalk cracks, well, the government has expenses, so, we pay our tax. Yeah, that’s why we grin and bear it and pay our tax. Oh!

DEI will be another branch for government to control companies It will be used to award and punish through tax credits/exemptions and government subsidies. If a company is compliant it will be awarded with government benefits If you choose to ignore DEI, you will be punished and regulated out of existence. DEI needs to be added to the tax code argument

This taxation bs pisses me off. I INDEED! work long hours so I can make ends meet, invest any money I can come up with so I can prepare for my daughters college and have some money for retirement. Then I not only think not just once, twice but 4 times to buy stuff and constantly ask myself if I really need it. But lo and behold now have to "PAY" more taxes as if I am discouraged to be responsible. Then what does the govt especially this administration do with the taxes I pay? On Tax Day, Special Interest Groups are Pushing Congress to Expand Tax Breaks that Benefit Illegal Aliens FAIR Take | April 2024 As Americans are looking to Washington for solutions to the border crisis, lawmakers instead are considering a massive tax bill that has major immigration consequences. Special interests are currently lobbying to get the Senate to take up H.R. 7024, the Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act. The bill, if enacted, would expand the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC). The ACTC is a tax credit intended to benefit low-income families. As a refundable credit, eligible individuals can receive it even if they do not owe any tax. Importantly, the tax credit helps more than low-income American families. Due to a loophole in the law, illegal aliens may also claim the credit. With the proposed expansion of the ACTC in H.R. 7024, that means even more tax dollars will be used to support illegal aliens.

The income tax answer is Flat Tax. Everyone pays the same. One rate for Individuals and one rate for Businesses with no exceptions. That way, you could look at any other citizen of the U.S. and know that they're paying the same income tax percentage as you. It's a game-changer, particularly since right now many wealthy individuals and many businesses pay nothing. Also, the end of every federal income tax form must have the option to direct at least 50% of your paid taxes to wherever you want the money to go. And the Social Security Cost of Living Adjustment must be in lock-step with whatever increase Congress gives themselves. Right now the SS COLA is based on the third quarter raises received by clerical workers. I retired clerical; we were always the last job description to get a raise and it was always peanuts.
