Hey Nick, its been a year since my diagnosis and ive improved a lot, as recovery goes. Im not quite there yet as i have deeper levels of acceptance and disputing to reach. It doesnt scare me anymore, the fear of fear, at least not at the level it used to, maybe subtly. Im getting better at wearing uncomfortable sensations etc too. Im thinking of cutting back watching these videos too, as a way of cutting reassurance

Yes, what you say is true. I learned from a Twilight Zone episode that an addiction is like a parasite. The more you feed it, the more it grows. When you try stopping your feeeding it, it rebels. But sooner or later, it withers away. Peace to all.

Nice video!! I have a question , do you treat mild and severe ocd the same way ?
@Pixelpin668
@Pixelpin668 2 месяца назад
Nick. I have ocd and following ur advice ive been doing good also fluoxetine helped me a lot, but i stopped taking the meds, but not entirely because i think im alright now? But you see the thing is im convinced that i might have BPD and it was never OCD. But when i look back, i actually had health OCD, so i can only put it this way that my ocd gave rise to BPD? Im so scared of BPD i really dont want it. I feel the black and white thing a lot and a routine helps me a lot. This is why im convinced i have BPD. I struggle with relationships too.

Hey Pixel! I can make a video within the next week on these types of fears, BPD/ ADHD/ Schizophrenia etc. I think it will be good to cover that again!

I have bad ocd I actually taped a small post it on my key fob that has a handful of intrusive thoughts I had so I don’t act on them. Should I just get rid of the post it of the intrusive thoughts on my key fob. I keep obsessing over the key fob thinking I need the key fob with me at all times. I used to have a piece of paper next to my bed with intrusive thoughts and I took a picture of the paper and I was just obsessing over it and I would be scared that I would forget about the paper. What do I do.

@OCDrecoveryNick
@OCDrecoveryNick 2 месяца назад
Hey PCH - Yes, lazy behavioral traits are very common fueled by low frustration tolerance which is different from being a lazy person which is impossible. We can't be one thing but we can certainly have numerous lazy traits, that's just reality and needs to be faced.
