Thank you for making this video I am going to be getting a Togo Birkin 25 in gold hardware I am trying to decide between three different colors the bamboo green ,Gold with Gold or black with gold hardware. ❤ which one would you chose?
I really liked the tip about turning down a bag if you don’t absolutely love it! I definitely struggle with the idea of turning down a bag because I don’t want to offend Hermès, so, as someone who does not have a Hermès bag yet, it’s nice to hear that it’s okay.
This is such a helpful video, as someone who has never owned an Hermes bag, I love to hear what may increase my chances of getting one. 😀😃I agree with you when you say be specific about what kind of bag you want, as I want to buy the fist bag I’m offed, because I can’t wait! 😅😊💼
GPS I so enjoy your channel and all of your advice. I am a third generation Hermes fanatic and truly love the brand and what it stands for. A few months ago you suggested a 35 cm Birkin instead of a 40 cm. I have four 40 cm Burkin's that I love but recently was offered a 35 cm Gold with Gold hardware. To be honest, I was unsure. Being 5'8" and 143 pounds, I was afraid the 35 cm would looks small but I LOVE the size and it fits my stature perfectly. I don't regret my 40's but, the 35 truly is a better fit! Thanks again GPS! You are my Hermes hero! Cheers!
Thank you for great tips. I’m glad you mentioned holding off for the dream bag. I’ve been offered a few bags that are not exactly on my wish list and I had to turn them down. It was hard and I was so tempting to just get anything!
Great video. My first B was a B40cm in Palladium, but TC leather. I still have it but use it as a travel bag. The majority I have are 35cm but I have moved to 30cm. So funny how you change as you learn.
spot on GPS, 100% agree with you. my first birkin was a v classic B30 which I honestly thought would work coz I’m not a petite girl. but who knew I was too damn lazy to lug a B30 around and B25 was the bag for me 😂 i should have tried it on before I bought it but inexperience and FOMO got the better of me. These days I’m savvier thanks to excellent content generators like you! 🙌🏻 Thanks again GPS!
Love this video, it’s very interesting to find new things out and very informative, especially since Hermès makes it difficult to get any information 😂
Great topic and tips. My experience with the sticker on my Hermès bag is that it’s still on with no signs of bubbling. I plan to take it off if I see a sign of peeling. Thanks for sharing your experience with us, GPS. 😊
Your videos about Hermès are so interesting and the tips you give are welcomed ! I personally want to add a Birkin and a Kelly in the future but I m not really opened to sizes, hardware or colors and I don’t know if that will complicate my “Hermès journey” because I really know what I want and especially what I don’t 😁
I think it's very important to emphasize not to feel bad about turning down a bag that doesn't fit you. There could be someone else it's perfect for; a bit of patience and consideration (for your SA, yourself, and others) goes a long way.
I have a black Birkin with rose gold hardware and after a year I finally removed the stickers. However I noticed that the parts that weren’t covered by the stickers had oxidized and were darker. I tried to use a soft microfiber cloth to buff it out, but it only helped a little bit. This might be specific to rose gold hardware oxidizing and gold/palladium may not have this issue. It also seems like the hardware on their bags such as the Lindy and Birkin scratches easily even by rubbing your finger across it! So I’m really torn about keeping future hardware stickers on or removing them!
Loved your video, I have a question, should I have a wishlist for each store that I shop, or does Hermes have a system that all the stores can have access to my wish list? Do you know ?
@@IamGPS I agree, what I meant to ask was you know how Chanel is increasing their prices every 3 months or so, would you say Hermes will eventually do the same?
Wonderful advice GPS and l absolutely agree with being specific,l am someone that knows exactly want she would like and that is the information l will share,💙🌺
I have read that the white spots that can appear on Epsom leather are wax rising to the surface, not scratches as they may appear, and you can remove them with a warm hairdryer
Great video as always! Im actually contemplating to remove the stickers or wait for any sign of peeling at the corner. I am too very specific on my bag wishlist cos I dont want to have regret in the future. Once you’ve got the bag that you specifically are looking for, it’s the best feeling of contentment. As they say, “it’s worth waiting for” 🤍
