You did pretty good job explaining the need for the software and how it works but you made a major mistake when you said " the knowledge of analysis can be skipped or it isn't a mandatory " this statement is completely wrong. An engineer who doesn't know the analysis process is same as someone who is guessing what would happen to the structure. Therefore, he/she shouldn't be designing any structure at all. The software is just a tool without the knowledge of engineering is just useless.
M Gedi thank you for your kind words. And yes, I completely agree with you that one must have the knowledge of analysis. That is why I reiterated on the concept of garbage in garbage out. I intended to say that the knowledge of analysis is not a must but highly recommended. I should have phrased it better. Thank you again. Any constructive feedback is appreciated.
Shouldn't it be "The application's analysis is only as good as your data." instead of "Your analysis is only as good as your data." since you pointed out that we don't need to learn the analysis process, and what we only need to spend our effort and attention to is correctly inputting the data.
What I mean is that STAAD is only a software to help you out with the calculations. Nothing more. So the accuracy of the data / inputs you feed into this software determines the output / structural design you get out of this software.
I would say: Read all the best books on Structural Analysis and Design, practice by analysing and designing simple structures, learn Structural Analysis Software like STAAD and ETABS and finally follow this channel 😉
Sir, I just watched your tutorial and subscribed your channel, I have a question are you also a structural engineer? I would be delighted to know about you............... Thx sir and keep creating more videos.........
@@CivilBlackBox sir what do I need to do if I want to become a structural engineer? I am currently in 3 year in Civil engineering. Please guide me sir and keep uploading n more videos........
