Did this with my wife years ago and absolutely loved it. We're going to Riu Palace Riviera Maya in August. This place is less than 4 miles from the resort. I want to go back there.

Yes. There’s a few different routes they can take depending on heights and abilities. We took the most adventurous one and it wasn’t more than a few minutes of doggy paddling 😂
My wife and I did this several years ago. They gave us life jackets. I only remember a couple locations where the water was over my head. Neither of us are strong swimmers and we didn't have any problems.
