I'm looking for a new exterior door, I have a steel door now, I didn't realize the door would swell if it heated up. Does fiberglass doors with stand direct sun? My back door gets really hot from the south to west sun. My deck can reach a temperture of 120 degrees.
Nice video. Is this a wood core door so that you could install a doggie door? I am wanting to install a new door but will need a doggie door and don't necessarily want steel for some of the reasons you mentioned. Thanks
curious to know, if it does with temperature? We have a hallow metal door and in the summer the heat comes through as if the door was open, and in the winter, the cold comes in as it was open. So want to choose a door that will help with this issue.
What is the frame or jam made of? I'm looking for a door with a jam that is made of composite so that it does not rot. It will bet all of the elements and our current door jam has rotted because it is wood. The door is fine but the bottom third has rotten out.
I'm curious about the strength between the three. I realize that much of it has to do with length of screws, hinges and whatnot. But, the strength of the actual door material. Which one holds up best?
