As far as I have come, as much as I know and understand, the Ego still throws in that little voice to get me to question my abilities, and every so often, actually gets a foothold and takes me off point and off focus. It's frustrating.
As a bi-vocational pastor I find your content extremely helpful and encouraging. Thanks so much for all you do! May God continue to bless you and your family. God speed!
The key point you said that it takes 6months to a year for the results of good choices and habits to show up is so important! Being patient and taking a long view...super important. It’s a good thing that the results of ego driven decisions show up in 90-120 days, so we can quickly turn that around! Thank you so much Ed for this episode and your transparency!!! #selfaware
This is the best !!! Taking the company laptop home every day to stay in the loop after hours, grinding ! Interviewing for that promotion, keeping up with the company competition and still hanging there. The results are around the bend and I know God has it lined up but the most challenging event is not caving into the EGO!! Thanks for this message, God bless!
I love Mondays and getting these new videos!!! Ed, they are by far the best on the internet. These 20 min videos are always STRAIGHT FIRE! Thank you for continuing to do these.
Cant love yourself if your not being yourself. Sheer gold. What holds me back is what my ego dominates my choices on what I'm not willing to do by suggesting its my high standards when its actually fear or procrastination. thanks Ed, Maxing it out with humility!!!
Amazing start to the week listening to the priceless treasures of your own life experience Mr Mylett...thank you so much for sharing it with all of us that are hungry and willing to achieve te best of ourselves daily.God bless you.
At first I could definitely identify this message as my partner checking every box of what you speak of yet digging deep and being fair some of these points also fall on my lap as me. It seems we all may struggle with ego but as I always say it's not what you know it's what you do with what you know so thank you it's good to be reminded so that you can better yourself.
Ed, the delay on results is something that no one really talks about. It's something that I discovered because I went through some stuff a couple years ago and I'm recovering. I've actually learned how to be more self aware. This video is super powerful
@@EdMylettShow A lot of people talk about networking and not doing things by yourself which is true. Maybe, you can talk about how this can be a crutch and lead to procrastination. You rely do have to have strong self esteem and make a strong decision on your own to get where you need to go and then the right people will come along. That may be a great topic.
First look within... check my own feeling... on each situations, love this so much. Not talk behind others, check obsessed outward look, bullying not good but recognize praise pull not push subtle ego... i can not love my self if i am not believe in myself, only hang around ppl think like them, easily offended, stuck in the past, insecurity and self doubt, constantly apologizing, worry abt others think about them, need approvals Negative results trails 90-120 days later. Do not stop doing what required to win Positive results will be shown 6 months to a year. Keep doing what goods and kill bad habits within! Thanks!!
EdMylett there are many video I watched and learn from your channel. One of my favorite is how to connect with others whenever I watch your video I learn something new that I miss last time. Thank you for creating and sharing your message with me and others. Its golden!
I almost gave up on an opportunity this past week that I had so relentlessly pursued. I almost gave up because I have not been getting any results. The fear has been real and the work ethic struggled. I had to recommit myself and really through meditation and prayer conquer this body of sin and ego!!! Thank you for your content Ed. 🙏 it truly is life changing
This was SO helpful!! You are the best. I do want to mention that I was listening to Arnold S. the other day and he said that bodybuilders who are going to compete should practice posing a lot. They need to be able to handle pose- offs. So it may not be an ego thing in that case. I remember, as a ballet dancer, we used to lie on the floor and stretch all over the place - to a stranger who walked into our space it looked like we were being very unladylike - but really we were just doing our thing to become better dancers. Sometimes I think people are just doing their craft - but if we don’t understand it, it looks like ego.
Another great message ! I feel like it was made just for me . I have given up and said the heck with the world after my divorce . I have stopped living and caring about my life and my family . Mr. Mylett is correct . I have been living my life with my consequences from my past . It's due to my Ego !! I told myself I will punish the ppl that hurt , that's all I did was hurt myself by my own actions .
I agree that it is so important to remember that there is a "delayed gratification coming!" I have learned this principle. Also, I see it with people that I work with - too often the counselee or coachee gives up too soon before the change happens or before the positive action "reaps what has been sown." Thanks Ed.
Man I have had a serious EGO problem most of my Life just started learning about EGO this pat 12 months or so ... definitely on a better path but still a serious work in progress ... thanks for All the examples especially the subtle ones
Figure competition. I've trained for it a couple times and haven't been on stage yet. I keep running into walls. Whether that's money related of letting others opinions bring me down. I'm trying again. I made the decision three months ago and I've been working relentlessly. I'm going to do it this time. Head down and focused.
I knew I was meant to hear this video the moment you started of as “you were born to do something great with your life”! Thank you so so much for your energy!
So much good knowledge in a short video!!! The best content I have ever heard since I was 16 I have yet to see or hear some one more genuine. I have even had the pleasure of meeting him in person and he is truly a man of faith and wants to see others succeed. I don’t just like Ed Mylett… I love him like a brother in Christ. He has truly blessed my life with the examples he goes through as it does help me correct what I’m doing wrong
I needed this one Ed, thank you! Today is the 50th day in a row I tripled my step count and upped my push ups and I haven’t lost a pound. I am continuing to smash the 🪅 Piñata! Invisible results!!
Ed Mylett UR so compassionate, so correct! I look forward everyday to what U have to say! I am doing my best at focusing on doing the most work for my family, & spending the hours working grinding to get established & become the #NXTLVL & next version of myself! #MAXOUT! #beinspyrd
This video was a revelation. Love the idea about negative things taking 90-120 days to show up and positive results take 6-12 months. Makes so much sense. Love your content 👌🏼🔥
Imagine writing the negative from your day in your journal, but 90 days into the future. This way you can read it in the morning again on that future date 90 days out🤔
Been in a slump lately, man does this speak truth to where my EGO is😳!! Just wow....this really hit me hard today. Thanks @EdMylett ...needed to hear this!
Hi Ed, I’ve been watching your content for years and not really using it to my advantage other than a fleeting pump-up. Your video post on ego made me change my nonsense. Thank you 🙏
Soooooo good!! Had my 12yr old son listen with me. I look over and he's nodding his head like yup, yup. Ego is a killer in all aspects of life! Thank you ed! #maxout
Ed is one of the most incredible people I know. Thank you Ed for being such a positive force in so many peoples lives. This one is another good one! Learning from a brilliant mind every day is my idea of living a blessed life. I am just so beyond thankful.
Ed, you’re an amazing human being! You have such a gift with how you can communicate your message, always getting your message across. The selfless way you give out free advice, so so blessed I came across your channel. 💕🙏🏼 Best video yet 💪🏽💪🏽
Mr Ed Mylett, I'm a Little Hurt cause I think you meant this RU-vid about Ego just for Me! You Trampled all Over My Ego...I Needed this today...I've suffered from the Covert Ego Problem...And I'm sure you can tell by my previous comments...I try to convince myself and others of my worth! THANKYOU FRIEND!☺
Wow!!! This is one of the most impactful messages I've heard on ego. Keep it brother, you are definitely having an influence and impact on my life and so many others. Thank you
My absolute pleasure! Thank you for the love and support. You keep showing up, and i'll keep putting videos out! What other topics of discussion do you think I should talk about?
@@EdMylettShow I think self discipline and self motivation are very important topics. Both are difficult to maintain and master. Also habits and routines are important skills that are super important but difficult to maintain and master.
Thank you so Much. I struggle alot with my purpose. Because I didnt know what is ego . Now I am more clear!! I will take more responsibility and more aware about the ego. Can't Wait for the next video!!
Hey Ed You are god and you present god for us.I am watching you few days and already now and have stamped out so many things I have known but not use them ,because couldn't see them through ego. I am going to go out because I need to get out my EGO. Bless-you Majo
You are born for a reason What is happening in our lives are what we think we deserve. Ego usually means fear. You can't love yourself,if you are not being yourselves. Ego issues in life:- 1.Defensiveness 2.Always trying to be right in an argument. 3.Frequently bragging. 4.Revenge 5.Posessiveness. 6.Gossiping about others. 7.Obsession with outward appearance. 8.Bullying- beating people up into performing rather than elevating them into recognition 9. Seeking approval from others 10.Afraid of being alone 11.Easily offended by criticism 12.Constantly reciting the past. 13.Associating only with like minded people. 14.Constantly apologising for same thing. 15.Constantly think about other people's opinion about you. 16.Insecurity and inferiority
Thank you for this Ed again. It was like listening to you describe me. So many things in this video hit a nerve with me on issues that I've either had or currently have and need to work on. Thank you for your wisdom and willingness to always share the truth no matter how much it may hurt somebody's feelings.
Holy crap. 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 I feel like this is exactly what I've been looking for for the past week... But couldn't put into words what I was thinking or needing. However, it feels like 6 weeks or months ahead of where i need to start.😢 I just know that I am in a severe need of help. I can hardly deal with my own issues in life let alone take on everyone else's drama and stress. I can't hold them up when my back is so bad. 🙏🏻
@@EdMylettShow How results bad and good are delayed. I equate working out and running. Results are 2 1/2 weeks out for the work im putting in now. Ego rares its head for me sometimes. I was highly competitive. And i want to win all the time. Now i want to admit wrong to grow. Thank you for everything sir!
OMG...you put into words exactly what I allowed myself to do. Just when I start doing things well or things are going well for me, I stop doing the things that help me to win. I knew this was happening but it hits hard listening to you (someone I have so much respect for) putting it into words. Thank you again Ed!! #maxout
Wow Ed! Seriously what I needed to listen and hear today! As I’m shedding blood, sweat and tears doing sprints on the stair master and doubting my weight loss journey you have reminded me about delayed gratification and that’s exactly what it’s all about! Been fighting this weight battle since 2008 and I will never stop even when I win and reach my goals I’ll aim for even higher goals and keep going up from there. ONE. DAY. AT. A. TIME. And then I will come on your #MAXOUT podcast and teach people how to have Grit, consistency and the willpower to believe in themselves. 💪🏻💪🏻
Ed...also I think that the delayed gratification concept it good. But, it is also very important that we audit and self assess ourselves when we find that our results are not coming in the manner we expect them to. Maybe, we need to adjust or tweak some things to get better. Just doing the same things in the same way is just going to bring about the same results. A great man Ed Mylett, you might know him well, taught me that lol.
@edmylett I just want to thank you for the energy and message you giving in this video. This was just what I needed to hear before going to bed. You have no idea how much your content is helping me. Tomorrow is a new day to max out and keep building my own business to get to the next level that I deserve. Thank you brother, I love you, GOD bless you!
I need to get my ego in check, once you put it in perspective, it made me more aware of when it pokes its ugly head out. Especially after listening to Dr. Joe Dispenza, I’m addicted to the habit of my ego.
I heard it profoundly said years ago by a wise mind that EGO also means we are Edging God Out. I do think it's Important Ed that you articulate the differences between being humble, self-assured, egocentric and brimming with self-confidence and self-belief. Because, the lines can get really blurred between those things.
#MaxOut another good one Ed I think all of us needed that one if we were being honest with ourselves . And to answer your question in the post sometimes I would get defensive is someone was criticizing me I’m working and getting better at that
Yes yes yes more!! I love it. " The gym wierdo's" lol, the "mirror air boxers" you know what I'm talking about, lol...they are in every gym during power hour!! Love to have my ego in check, thank you for the reminder @edmylett #MAXOUT MONDAY! Hugs from Texas!!
