Before anyone gets rowdy, I'm a fan of most these bands. Probably will make this a series. I have a lot of bands to cover. Inspired by MVPerry Song: • BRODYQUEST
@issaac Xxx Have you met the MCR fans? Trust me they DO NOT CARE. Also MCR should be: edgy wannabe because that describes me and the other MCR fans I’ve met perfectly.
bruh linkin park was and is still the only band I've ever truly liked. Out of all the bands out there they had to be the one to have that happen to them. It's ridiculous
@@maui_el_diosPart of me is traumatized and completely taken out of ever liking K-pop in general based on how insane my friends act about it (basically ruined my friend group which is a stupid thing to fight over) The other part of me absolutely loves metal and just isn’t into the vibe.
@@tlotrfan3791 i understand, but you sounded like you thought BTS wasn't as good. Of course i share your same point of view, but I just understood it like that!
"KISS: you're a dad" As a teenage girl, my timbers are shivering rn edit: guys im actually transgender 😭 I posted this before I knew. also my favorite band is probably korn or nin now
The linkin park "I'm sorry" hits way too f**king hard. I still get emotional sometimes when listening to one of their deeper songs. Insanely accurate on beatles, SOAD, Green Day.
the linkin park one...im just confused whether he's saying "im sorry" for everything bad that's ever happened in my life or is it because he knows i still havent gotten over Chester's death
No one has gotten over it yet. Especially considering how personal his lyrics were about his struggles with addiction and self-hatred. It's hard to listen to them today knowing his demons eventually won. Doesn't exactly give the same cathartic energy it used to.
Wait wait wait. If you love Greta Van Fleet it means you love Led Zeppelin, but if you love Led Zeppelin it means you hate Greta Van Fleet, this is a massive paradox and it can only mean one thing: It is physically impossible to love Greta Van Fleet. (edit: Oh my God everyone chill the f*** out, this is just a silly joke, sweet Jesus.)
@@arturoromero951 well, I'm not a fan of Nirvana, but from what I heard she talked shit about the band members multiple times (especially Dave Grohl, whom she said Kurt hated; said Kurt would have hated any Nirvana fan who also likes Foo Fighters; and even accused him of hitting on her then-underage daughter- which the daughter herself denied ever happened). She also let companies monetize off of his legacy and use his image in ways many people who knew him say he would have hated- such as letting a guitar centered video game (I think it was guitar hero, but not sure) use his likeness as a playable character- then doing a 180°, starting to talk about how disrespectful it is and blaming the band's surviving members of disrespecting his memory by letting it happen (even though they had no say in it, she is the manager of his estate and the one who signed an agreement to let the game use his likeness). She and Dave eventually made peace with each other at Nirvana's Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony in 2014, but fans still hold a grudge.
You can't have 2 favorites. Anyways I cut my thumb off in an industrial accident and now I don't play anymore. Metallica did get me to play guitar in the late 90s tho. At the time I sucked, but eventually people knew what song I was playing and I didn't have to tell them.
Really surprised that Queen isn't here. It also took me a while to get the Linkin Park one, but then I saw the comments. Extremely accurate for a Linkin Park fan :( EDIT: Queen is mentioned in the 3rd video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tTe9rDvwI4M.html
I think, the "I'm sorry" part was not mostly about Chester, but about the listeners of band. Because if someone can relate to lyrics of LP's songs (worse if on multiple occasions) then I'm also would say sorry for what those people gone through.
@@crispypotato22i am lately going through a lot and One step closer hit really hard... 😅 Generaly most of their songs have alarming lyrics, they're heavy and hit hard when struggling with mental health...
Every year that goes by, I miss Chester Bennington more and more. Linkin Park was a big part of my childhood, and to this day they still remain as one of my top favorite bands. Leave Out All The Rest hits so much harder than before. RIP Chester Bennington. ❤🕊️
Shadow Of The Day hits harder for me. I love Linkin Park but I think I've gotten over the grief of Chester. Sure, what happened was sad, but we should still enjoy his music without thinking about that. It's what he would have wanted...
pre-hiatus Fall Out Boy fans would like to join in on the action, but they won't because they're too busy bitching about the setlist not being 100% pre-hiatus deep cuts (they think being fans since before the hiatus makes them entitled to have everything they want)(btw these are the same chucklefucks who infantilize the hell out of Patrick Stump)

You gotta dig deeper than the radio, fam. Check out Remo Drive's first album. Can't guarantee you'll like it, but I believe it's by far more interesting than the usual.
Kinda late to the party: 17, found them out because of a girl some weeks ago, listened to The Poison and they went straight to the top, absolutely love their style
The LP one hurt my heart. I’m also surprised Journey wasn’t on this list. They’re such an awesome band. Also Motley Crue. I’ve listened to almost all the bands mentioned during my Junior high into high school years. The 90’s-2000’s were such an epic time for rock/punk rock and metal 👍🤘
@@olasimangrantadrianem.2489 They weren’t bad. They had some pretty good hits, but they didn’t take off like the other bands. Which is kinda sad, but there were too many Alt Rock bands that had the same feel as Vertical Horizon
"KISS: You're a dad" Actually, my dad is one of the people who's under the impression that their name stood for "Knights In Satan's Service" and believes that they thought they were more powerful than the devil, so... ...yeah. I kinda introduced myself to KISS music. :|
pls my when i played "sure know something" mv on our tv, the first thing my dad said was "they look anti-christ" just because of the make-up the band wore💀
Uhm, hate to tell ya but it did. Only it was "Kids in Satan's Service" Everyone who grew up on them knew that. That's probably what made them seem even cooler, it was like "Ooo they worship the Devil"

Bro those are literally my top 3 favorite metal bands. More of hip hop guy normally but those are the 3 I go to when I'm in a mood for something harder.
The fact that a video with a ton of comedic value still has a dark, sad tone surrounding Chester, just goes to show how much his death really truly impacted the world
As someone who loves Linkin Park more than anyone, "I'm sorry" would be correct. It makes me sad every time that I remember Chester Bennington is dead and why. RIP CHESTER 🙏🏽
*Gorillaz* - you're amazed by the detailed backstories - you either love or hate Murdoc (there is no in-between) - you got into it through Feel good Inc., Rhinestone eyes, or you've been around since the "Gorillaz"- Album dropped - *SA BATH*
@@PengSpoofer I just figured Rhinestone eyes bc there was this huge TikTok trend about a year ago ;D also, I didn't add Clint Eastwood because it was part of the "Gorillaz"-Album as far as I remember-? Correct me if I'm wrong though 🏃
Cannibal Corpse: you’re only testing the waters of death metal Foo Fighters: you love Nirvana Black Flag: you like working out and getting into fights Iron Maiden: you like Judas Priest and guitar solos Judas Priest: you don’t like Iron Maiden Type O Negative: you’re a closeted emo Pantera: you like fistfights Rammstein: you’re a horny masochist Van Halen: you like guitar pedals Mötley Crüe: you like guitar pedals and drugs
I'll admit it, that Linkin Park one stung my eyes a bit. God I wish we could've prevented it, that there was something to be done. If you're feeling any kind of way just remember that Chester didn't think he'd be missed, and he is. It's easy to look at things fatalistically when they first happen or when it's fresh in the mind. If you're ever feeling like doing something to yourself, remember that time gives everything perspective, what hurts you now may not hurt later, life is full of experiences both positive and negative. Give yourself some time, you don't have to try to fix everything by yourself. Stay as strong as you can be and never be afraid to lean on someone in tough times, even some internet person. Getting help when you need it is the most important thing when it comes to dealing with overwhelming depression. I've been in that boat plenty of times in my life and I can tell you from experience, I'm glad the paramedics got there, I'm glad my attempt failed, I'm glad I stuck it out. Because after it was all said and done, I found someone who I can trust and rely on through anything, something I didn't have growing up, so give yourself more time to find your footing.
@@Nick-A1 yeah. Thx for asking. One of the only few people who asked me actually. Im doing a lot better. I got out of depression, got loyal gf recently and im starting gym next monday. thx for caring and stay safe and happy
What I’ve gotten from this series so far: - I love conspiracies - I’m depressed - I love drugs - I think guitar is overrated - I love the G note - I unironically like twilight (nah I watch it ironically, soundtrack is full of🔥bands tho)
Me actually getting into random sh thinking way too hard.. :When she was a girrrrlll, she discovered the wooooorrrllldddd, something something out of reaaaaaccchhh, she dreamt of Para Para padise. R they the dudes that r all I'm beggin, beggin youuu. So put your loving hands in mine babeh. However that goes? Also I'm not that destructive bc I listen to such & such. At most I think things like y do I react differently
Someone messed mine up I like soad, Metallica, green day, bullet, Slipknot, Radiohead and Linkin, and Mudd and Nirvana what I learned from this is I don't exist and need to like Megadeath so I can play guitar instead of playing chords and sighing
As a fan of rock and metal music and also of BTS for years now, their looks plays a very minor role in the reason i like them tbh. Sadly it's true tho that many "fans" likes them for their looks, but there are many of us who doesn't.
For most the looks/ just general curiosity drew them in, then you learn to appreciate the music, messages behind it, the members and community. Saying all of Army just cares about looks is just kinda harsh tbh :'( But most of this video was satirical anyways soooo~
Same!! I listen to pretty much everything but rock has been my main music genre for most of my life. But in these last few years i started to get into kpop, especially BTS, and i just fell for their music!! They are so impressive, the songs, the lyrics, the production, the performances, the choreos... They are true artist, and yes they are pretty but that's def not the reason I like them in the first place
as a 26 year old man who casually listens to bts ( dont stan, just listen) their music is pretty good if you just separate the fandom from it. they have different genres. my sisters forced me to listen to a couple of their songs and they’re unironically good.
right their most recent ones are a snoozefest but im gonna need anyone shitting on them to listen to their albums from back when they had this strong old school hip-hop influence
@@meline4524 yes, the albums from 2013, 2014, 2015, even a couple of songs from 2016 are good, but since their rise in popularity, musics just been going downhill.
I won't lie - you got me at Radiohead. Here are my suggestions: Pink Floyd: You're a granddad who hates modern music with a passion, and no other band could be more perfect. Yes: If a band can't write songs that are at least 10 minutes long, they're not worth your time. Aerosmith: You're a mom from the 1970s. Third Eye Blind: You're a mom from the 1990s. Nickelback: You're a dad from the 2000s. Weezer: You hate yourself and enjoy being made fun of. Hole: You LIKE Courtney Love. Oasis: You're British. Muse: You got over your depression and no longer listen to Radiohead. Coldplay: You're boring and probably eat plain toast for breakfast. Red Hot Chili Peppers: You're a Californian who enjoys being loud and shirtless. [Please don't hate me - I actually like many of these bands myself!]
I would honestly say linkin park says you still are sad about Chester Bennington dying (that includes me) and have not currently moved on, Or you are a fan of their music
I'll never get over Chester or Dimebag. Both legends taken before they got to retire. Chester got his start in the '90s nu-metal scene and Linkin Park wasn't even considered metal by most. But by the time he died, most put him up there with legendary metal vocalists like Rob Halford, Bruce Dickinson, Ozzy, Mustaine, and Ronnie James Dio. If that doesn't tell you how talented the man was, go watch a live performance of Given Up and lemme know if you change your mind.
Nah y’all are flat out ridiculous claiming that. Nothing you hear on the radio today is good, there are thousands of bands in the prog scene now, especially over the last 20 years that make the Beatles actually look like bad musicians even though they’re not, except John Lennon of course. That wife beater can burn in hell
As someone whose favorite band was Linkin Park from 2001 through 2017, I'm going to take your apology as sincerity. RIP Chester, you influenced so many peoples' lives (including my own) and will forever be missed and loved ❤️ That said, since 2017 my favorite band has been Paramore. (To be clear, the switch didn't happen because Chester passed; it happened several months before that, when One More Light and After Laughter had both just released.) And since they weren't on the list, I'll breathe a sigh of relief that I'm safe from mockery... now to go check out part two and hold my breath!
Ah, a fellow youngin' from 2001. Yeah, I remember being about 13 or 14 in 2003 and I went to go so Linkin Park in concert with my dad. Absolutely unforgettable.
Linkin Park helped me get through secondary school! 1990 here too. Chesters dying hit me hard, he stopped me from feeling alone, but the thing that hurts most is when you take into account that the messages in LPs music that i could relate to and helped me, behind those lyrics, is a person just like me, suffering and depressed. He put so much into his music and I will always be thankful, putting Hybrid Theory on and singing and shouting it out is therapy! RIP Chester 💕
That's become m'y favorites band when i was 4 years old and i meet music is name is in the end and this how i meet linkin park and m'y favorites music and m'y life and i am Real fan for long Long Time
I legit clicked to see if it would mention Sabaton, and I'm very glad that I agree with it lol Edit: I do not like war, simply learning about heroism and past battles / interesting events
Growing up on nu metal with Linkin Park being my favourite and liking BTS these days I often wondered what on earth is wrong with me. I guess it's the both bands willingness to go into depths of personal issues, vulnerability and identity, if you move beyond "In the End" and "Dynamite", that is.
Eu também, minha banda preferida é link park, e meu artista preferido de todos os tempos é BTS. Ambos têm letras que posso me identificar, que vão na alma, eles têm isso em comum então acho que é normal amar os dois.
There's no reason one can't like different genres of music, it's actually super common. Besides, those two groups in particular are crazy popular (I personally don't like either, but that's just opinion). My favourite bands are Sloan, the Strokes, the Tragically Hip and I Mother Earth, but I enjoy all sorts of genres. Foster the People, ELO, Led Zeppelin, Nas, etc. The music is different in many ways, but all of it is still enjoyable to me (and to many others as well)
Nothing wrong with that. We have part of us that might seem incompatible, but still parts of us. We also can grow up and appreciate things we don't understand anyway.
