as one of the 42 man city fan, I'm 16, i started watching them in last 4 years and i can't name a single player who played for us before the year 2000.
I also have a madrid fan who doesn't watch them play but still thinks that he is a madrid fan coz of ronaldo And also a barca fan who whenever i say cristiano he becomes v.angry and says blah blah blah😂😂@@kickyuppies
@@filipneminarz2782Somalian Ronaldo was the goat, he won his first ballon d'or at the age of 21... months, and he scored a hattrick in 4 consecutive major tournament finals, lost all of them though
I'm 31 and a Real Madrid fan since I was 12, I had to endure the Ronaldinho era and the Messi era, being always loyal to the club until we finally won the 10th and then the team became dominant, believe me when I said in that era it was way easier to become a Barcelona fan...
Fact, remember when Madrid would get knocked out the round of 16 in the champions league year after year. Winning la decima was truly magical after a torrid ten years in Madrid.
As a Real Madrid fan I have to say, as a kid there were only two logos in club football that I liked, Inter Milan’s and Real Madrid’s, didn’t know which one belonged to which and I started liking the team just because I thought their logo’s were cool. Got a bit older and learnt Ronaldo played for Inter Milan at that time, and then I decided to support the logo with a crown on top which also had lesser letters in it cuz the other one looked kinda overcrowded. It turned out to be Real Madrid. At that time Inter were the more successful club of the two (like winning recent trophies and stuff). Soon I found out there was one more Ronaldo playing for United, also that there was one playing for Barca (Ronaldinho) lol, lots of Ronaldo’s that played good football at that time. Wouldn’t say I was a glory hunter, but a cool looking logo hunter. Had no idea of what UCL or La Liga was at that time, let alone the number of time Real won them, also had no idea or comprehension of their money might.
I'm also a Real Madrid fan, but I wouldn't say I'm a glory hunter. All my family are Real Madrid fans: my father is a Real Madrid fan, and so is my grandpa. It was obvious that I was going to be a Real Madrid fan.
My Grandpa was a Real Madrid fan. He lives far away. When he came to town for a court proceeding, he took me to a fan park in 2006 to watch the world cup final. He showed me Zidane saying he's a legend. And I've been a Real Madrid fan ever since. I was still young to follow the players. At first, around 2008, I thought Messi and Ronaldo were retired players from long ago. Lol.
I’m a Madrid fan, I have always been. Ever since I touched a football. They were the first team I ever watched. At the time I was 6 and didn’t know they won the amount of trophies they did
Same bro I was also 6 when I became a fan Tbh, it was actually my brother and my dad, so I had to be one, obviously. But still, I had enough motivation to look at the best players in the world playing the royal white jersey
I’m a city fan since David Silva and Yaya Toure, me and my father used to watch matches together on the tv. We also witnessed the QPR Aguero moment. With the amount of hate the club has been receiving over time I thought of supporting another club many times but I grew up with city and it’s hard to change. It just hurts seeing my club filled with glory hunters and getting hated for its supposed charges but when I look at my father, he doesn’t even care about what’s happening outside of the club so I try to do the same because after all, I’m just a fan.
It's funny how he says "most of the club's lifespan is in lower divisions" and yet united has spent 4 seasons more than us in lower divisions, while we are the first ever english team to do the double of the league and European title and that united in early 1900s almost were dismantled until a business man bought the club and started getting glory the exact same thing they shame us for but 100 years ago
Good on you mate, I'm German and i have no tie with England but i started supporting Manchester City when my best friend's father went to Manchester for work and came back in early 2007 with man city shirt for me because its the workers class club and most of the central and eastern Manchester support city And your point about glory hunters is very true, but that's the same with every single club, if you ask united fans why they support Manchester United they are guaranteed to say "because they were the best" which is literally equivalent of glory hunters....but i do sometimes hope we face hard times so glory hunters go away but its selfish to wish a harm for the club just for something silly
@@Ananas-280It's True. Manchester City was established in 1880. City were relegated only 3 times in 1983, 1987 and 2001 but also had immediate promotions. Whereas United had 5 relegations particularly in the early 1900s when United were a yo yo Club. City Won their first major trophy(FA Cup) in 1904 before United. Won their first league title in 1937 and also did a European and domestic double in 1970 winning the FA Cup and UEFA European Cup Winner's Cup. Manchester City have won every top tier major trophy and are currently the best team in the land and all the world.
@@simantaborah4783 exactly I had to point this out because a lot of people seem to ignore it so thank you for adding the dates of said achievements and history
Nice, I actually started watching football in 2022. And when I started watching the Premier League, I watched each club and their players and felt a connection to City, been supporting them ever since. I am also a Messi fan, which obviously means I hate Madrid, so, a pretty interesting combo.
As a Chelsea fan, I have to say this is staggeringly accurate. I wish you had made this video after Arsenal thrashing us 5-0, though; it would make this video even MORE accurate.
He kinda did just not as harshly as I expected since some of it include AFTV so I dont recognize myself in that, he called us the most deluded fans though ! Every fanbase has a part that is deluded when it comes to their club and players (maybe not Real or Bayern but that’s because they are actually dominant so their fans claiming they have the best club in the world is not that deluded)
Ideas for a part 2; Inter fans are generally convinced Inter is the best club in the world (it is) Lyon fans are all depressed (we are) Spurs fans are all depressed and pessimistic PSG fans are all either extremely loyal ultras who have been around for decades or children that like their big name players Benfica fans are all very passionate but can’t accept that Porto are the best Portuguese team Dortmund fans are all legends who are loyal and get behind their club no matter the situation Bayern fans like to make fun of other German fans and joke around but are usually great guys, additionally they all have PTSD of the 1999 final Forest fans are all still living off of their success in the 80s and bring it up at any chance, (half of them weren’t even alive back then) Liverpool fans are slightly deluded, quite over confident and talk like they’re the biggest club in England and get flamed most of the time for it (they are though) Ajax fans are a nice bunch but they can’t be happy unless they’re winning everything and when they are they’ll make fun of the other Dutch clubs at any chance Marseille fans are cool but they live off the fact they’re the only French UCL winner and they also have short tempers and are probably all bipolar Greek clubs fans are very passionate and loud and don’t really care that they haven’t had any success in Europe and I like that Then there’s Red Star fans who are very scary and also live off their one UCL win but to be fair that team was amazing so they should bring it up at every chance to educate people about it Then there’s Newcastle and Sunderland fans who deep down are basically the same person but in a different lifetime but despise each other anyways
@@kickyuppiesgot two more for you If you’re a Rangers fan, you’re constantly pessimistic and on edge. You watch your team win games comfortably, and actually play well for many weeks in a row with a sense of unease, because you know at any moment it could all go bad and your team will start bottling it literally no reason, and Celtic are right there to pick up the pieces. If you’re a Celtic fan, you’re literally one of the most unpleasant people in the world. You get insanely triggered whenever somebody tells you that your club isn’t as big as Liverpool and Bayern Munich, but you try to hide it with snarky online comments with about 300 crying laughing emojis in them. The only thing you fear more than Rangers learning to play football again, is Chris Hanson.

As a Man United fan I stare at the picture of Sir Alex Ferguson and Wayne Rooney for 16 hours a day then sleep for 8 hours strangling the Glazers, you are indeed correct 😅
as an atletico madrid whos not spanish i agree .... only reason i started to support this club is cuz og griezmann, kinda starting to regret that decison now
As a Atleti fan I agree about everything you said apart from " trying to be different" We're a big club ❤ I supported Atleti since 2014 I remember after seeing them beating Barca Any my childhood fav player was their Coach so yeah ofc I'll support them I Still love atleti Even after our Shitty last 2 seasons THİS season is so weird We " almost won the Copa del rey " We almost" reached the Ucl semi's " And crushing real Madrid this year was a funny thing but our game against bvb made me sad Anyway for next season I wish we win The ucl❤

I started feeling sorry for Manchester United fans, I've never thought a day in my life I would say something like this being a Bayern fan, but I do genuinely feel sorry for them!
As one of the 42 man city fans, im 24, started watching football before i learned to even crawl, became a man city fan before i learned how to talk, and i can name the entire starting lineup for 2010-2011 and 2011-2012,
As a Real Madrid fan, you are mostly correct lol. I started watching football in the 2016/17 season and Cristiano was the first player I really payed attention to. That being said I’ve learned much of the clubs history and players who have played for the club throughout the years and I am a very loyal fan. I will say being a Madrid fan rarely lets you down but even if we were a mid table team I’d still be shouting “¡Hala Madrid!”
Every big club in europe gets fans from around the world by winning, Madrid, Barca, United, and now City. I am a city fan, and as a family we didnt have any way to watch soccer games, but when we would visit our cousins, they did watch games, and they were city fans, and we (my brother and I) just went with it, we wanted to be cool like them, since we were younger at the time and looked up to them, we didnt I guess, recognize at the time that we were "band wagoning". At the time they were a fantastic team, but nowhere near the dominance of today. And at the same time, I know it won't last forever, but I am prepared to stick with the team through the ups and downs. Something I am also very proud of, is my team has become a fantastic development team. Foden has been such an exciting player to watch play and mature, seeing Cole Palmer become the player he is today is so cool (as much as i dislike Chelsea) and waiting to see what's in store for players like Jeremy Doku, Ake, Nunes, who have great talent ready to be developed, and the future players, like Claudio Echeverri. I know this video is a joke, a meme video, but, I wanted to just remind everyone to not just generalize fans, we all love the sport, and just because someone doesn't know as much, or doesn't know absolutely everything about everyone, or their clubs history. It's not their fault they were born later in the clubs history, it's not an ASSIGNMENT to go learn about everything, and it's not wrong to follow a team due to their success (although constant team switching is a bit annoying). Let's just all enjoy the beautiful game. Everyone have a great night! Except Madrid fans😜
As a Madrid fan i can say that a lot of people are like this but personally i was born into a family that's mostly Madrid fans and basically watch them like a religion (i love the club more than i love myself :D) when i started supporting Madrid i ong thought we where some mid table team that had Barca as rivals witch i acknowledged where probably better than us at the time but then i realized how big we actually are the more i grew up.
My Grandpa was a Real Madrid fan. He lives far away. When he came to town for a court proceeding, he took me to a fan park in 2006 to watch the world cup final. He showed me Zidane saying he's our legend. And I've been a Real Madrid fan ever since. I was still young to follow the players. At first, around 2008, I thought Messi and Ronaldo were retired players from long ago. Lol.
The fun fact about me is i was suppose to be a Barcelona fan, my favorite player was Ronaldinho and most of my entourage where Barça fans when they where dominating. I remember i start like Real because of their fast counter. When Barça beat Madrid 5-0 i was so sad but could'nt show it because i was a "Barça fan". But i finally crack on that 2011 Copa del Rey final. Everybody was asking me why i was cheering for Madrid and i just admit it. Cristiano ended up scoring the winning goal and it's was my first victory as a official Madrid fan. Since this i got a fever, loose appetit every times we get knock out of the UCL ( specially those against Bayern, Dortmund and Juve). I also got the chance to witness the best era of my club. The 2016-17 squad is my favorite because the insane bench we had. Still know this whole squad by heart.
As a city fan, yeah I started to watch them in 2023, more specifically in the quarter-finals of 22/23 versus bayern Munich, so I'm one of the new ones, but the main reason is that I in the past didn't liked football, In fact I used to hate it, but out of nowhere I started to have interest in football and I decided to watch Man city because I felt like a connection, Idk what it is but I felt it. And now I feel the love for the team like if I started to watch them 40 years ago. By the way: Yes, Im 14.
As a RMA fan this is so accurate. The first football player I've ever heard of was Cr7 when I was 6 years old, and ever since then, I became a fan of him and the club😅
you are right, i remember 4 years ago i got asked what was my favourite club at the time, i didn't even watch football but I remember saying Atletico de madrid just because i wanted to feeel different from the rest
Ive actually been a city fan since around 2009 and havent watched much of them in the last 8 years at all. I loved the mancini era despite the cl failures. This video wouldve looked wildly different back then.
@@skenglish2187 became a fan back in like 2004. the reason is my father was a fan since 1986 and he passed it down to me. i even recall him telling me about how his first game he watched madrid was loosing 3-0 against atletico madrid and real madrid was able to comeback.
2:38 - We've spent 27 seasons out of 122 outside the Premier League/Division One. I wouldn't call 22.1% of our history "most". PS - I've been watching Manchester City since 1998.
If you're a Liverpool fan like me, This club made me cry more than my mom's beatings in 2010's and finally started smiling since 2018! You're extremely loyal!
As a girl with a father who is a MNU/MTD fan (I am too) I can confirm me and my dad discuss assasinating Erik ten hag and we have the biggest anger issues 💀
I fell in love with Real madrid ever since 2012, yes it was bc of Ronaldo but then I start to really enjoy watch OTHER players playing for us. I ain't a glory hunter at all, I like every player who plays for madrid :D
I'm a Madrid secondary fan (my fav clube will always be Flamengo) but what caught my attention was the first generation of Galácticos, back in 2002/03. Ronaldo Fenômeno is an absolute legend.
I am a real madrid fan, but that thumbnail is so damn true XD i saw 10 yr old kid walking around with a city jersey and i was like bruh ofc looool, he probably only started watching football a few yrs maybe...I'm 25 currently and been watching football since i was like 6/7 and real has always been my favorite even without ronaldo.
