Random fact worth noting: the whole pink for girls and blue for boys is actually relatively recent. It used to be the exact opposite, believing pink was a stronger color associated with passion while blue was more feminine because it was more soothing and submissive. Another relatively recent change is black, which now we often associate with high tier, high tech, top of the line goods. For the longest while we saw white the same way instead, and black being a dour working man's color, but then once simple black finish with fine gold lettering replaced white with polka dots in one ad, bam, folks were happily buying up silky black satin like it was the sudden height of fashion.
Black was also once strongly associated with negative things, like death and grieving. The Victorians used to send cards with black edges on them as condolences.
@@LPetal86 Oh the death connotation is there still, for sure. So strongly that we started opting out of using it and used purple instead at some point for Halloween related stuff so as to be more palatable to certain segments of the population. XD
When I was a kid my favorite color was pink. Now my favorite color is purple. This video truly simbolizes how I changed during this time, so I like it ❤

My favourite colours are green💚, white🤍, orange🧡 and (light) blue🩵. And here's the reason why ( my perspective) : Green 💚- because it represent greenery, nature and (natural) beauty. It is also my peace colour or whatever you call it. White🤍 - because it symbolises peace and calmness. I like white clouds in the sky and that's the primary reason why one of my fav colour is white. Orange🧡 - because it symbolises enthusiasm. The main thing that made me fall for this colour is the orange horizon in the evening which makes my heart flutter. Light/sky blue🩵 - As the name suggest, I really like to watch clear blue sky and I can do this for hours. These are the most recent one cuz they are changing very often lately. I thought i didn't have a favorite color for so long, because brown was never really included in the typical colors. But all the shades of brown are definitely my favorite ♡

I like white, blue, purple, and green, but somewhat like grey. White: I am independent, and my 'friends' say I am optimistic, but I fall in the dark times. I am a very innocent person and I do like my peace. Blue: yes I am reliable, loyal and calm. I don't dig deep, but I do live off my own beliefs. I always find enjoyment in certain tasks, and always put others before myself, but I do often to a bit too much- Green: I am not very good at time management, but I am very open-minded and love to explore. I do not trust of believe anyone, except my very close family (parents, therian cousin) and my only friend. I love nature, but I do not have any luck nor much jealousy and greed, if even any. I am not very important and normally looked down on people, but I did nothing wrong. Purple: I do help others, and I do need emotional and mental security raaaah. I love being creative, and I stand out from the group for being therian. I am unpredictable, but mostly end up being a easy to deal with person (unless I get in a fight with 8yos online) Grey: I am very mature and don't like being the center of attention (because I am afraid to be) and very difficult to characterize, as I can change quickly. I dont let my feelings takeover my actions, because they end up being for others. Dont tell me I have the perfect traits, please know I have very dramatic mood swings and little friends. I have lots of vents and I am called emo for wearing a dark grey hoodie when it is chilly.

I fully agree with this! I’m usually stereotyped as liking pink, I have long hair, quite girly, calm and social. I can honestly see why, but still, just because I wear a pink jacket everyday when I go to school doesn’t mean it’s my favorite- Also, there’s this guys in my class who has his favorite color as pink, he’s a real sweetheart and hes not gay FYI. I also hate how people also stereotype ‘soft’ people as liking pink. (People who are nice, sweet, kind, vulnerable etc.) like, just because they act that way doesn’t mean they like pink. But on the other hand I was talking about, soft/pastel/dull pink. Neon pink is a different story, and that’s the pink everyone stereotypes the most.
That IS especially interesting! My favourite colour in childhood has always been blue, and childhood me fits the description perfectly. Then in my early teenage years purple and blue were equal, and in the 2nd half of my teens, pink (soft pink in particular) joined the top 3 as well.
Yeah its super interesting! For me yellow was my favorite in childhood and then late teens to now its dark blue. I also like black and white but I like them used together.

Actually science class taught me MANY years ago, that black is the presence of all color (heavy saturation), & white is the absence of all color. Technically white is the only non-color.
As an art student, I can tell you that, even though Black or White are 'scientifically' non-colors (depending on your base (is it a white sheet of paper or a black screen ? It changes everything !)), they 'culturally' are. Black, grey, and white are colors, just like red, blue, green, yellow, etc. I also believe that shades are colors (ex : pink is a shade of red, cyan a shade of blue (culturally, not scientifically of course) ; they're still all colors) Yes, I also studied colors of light in high school in details, I'm glad I've got these different perspectives about it (:

When I was little, I think I always "made" my personality what others thought it was. My first word was "pretty". So, without knowing it, I was like, "oh, everyone thinks I'm pretty? They think I'm cute? Ok! My favorite color is pink! I'm a female kid, my favorite color is obviously pink! I love candy and I'm a happy person!" But then I sat back and said, "Wait. What is my favorite color? Like for real? What do *I* like?" I thought about all the basic colors and decided on blue. Not because most people like blue, but because I thought it was beautiful. And I still do. Now that I'm older and figuring out who I am and what I love, I can confidently say, *my favorite colors are blue and black*

This is actually eerie. My favorite color as a kid was yellow, and I can tell you I was an incredibly happy child. I had a rough teenage, but I was very artistic and expressive and loved trying new things. Favorite color was purple. After high school it was black, and I was highly depressed and lonely. I've finally finally dug myself out of that, and have managed to find happiness after 5 years. My favorite color is yellow.

I dunno... those traits in particular kinda described me pretty well. I kinda related to everything except for the part that I operate well under pressure. but then again... I guess it depends on what kind of situation that we're talking about.. different situations can cause different kinds of pressure. for example, maybe I could be good at keeping my cool in a situation where am required to defuse a bomb, but I could be bad in arguments... I personally find myself getting kinda absorbed into emotional situations. like, I don't really seem to handle it very well... if everyone else around me happens to be angry, then I get VERY angry too and find myself getting lost within that emotion. although, I have personally found that I've got BIG symptoms associated with high functioning adhd... am actually FULL of constantly clashing and shifting emotions(with intense concentration problems), but despite all of that... I kinda do see myself being relatively good at being calm and level headed. kinda hard to explain just what it is that I really mean here. . .
