The P-40 and P-51 are the most Vanilla WW2 aircraft I can think of. That being said they are actually pretty good, they earned their love and appreciation/fame. I’m just saying that everyone knows them.
@@supersonic9052 Even Saburo Sakai once said that, if in good hands, the P-40 could be a tough enemy (at least below 5,000m). Furthermore, the P-40 was so much "trash" that some pilots like Clive "killer" Caldwell managed to shoot down almost 20 enemy planes onboard that "trash".
Haha! That's funny, I like WW2 aircraft and cold war jets. There were some aircraft you didn't mention like the P-47 and AT-6 Texan. Let's not also forget B-25!
The f4u is the greatest plane in my opinion but honestly I have a lot of respect for the f4 so I don’t get mad I just corrected you and say they are both great. Side note I don’t know if you already did but the xp-55 is pretty cool
Fun fact the SR-71 was supposed to be the RS-71 but the president (I don’t remember who was president then) accidentally swapped the letters around so Lockheed had to go through and change hundreds of documents from RS to SR
I’m an odd ball… p-38 is extremely underrated and the a20g and the f4 phantom 2… guess I just have a quirk for ground attack planes that can also hold its own
The kc-10 and the kc135 are basically a McDonald Douglas DC 10-10 or a 10-30 and a Boeing 707....Idk the exact model for that particular 707 so bare with me
As an Air Force aviation enthusiast I’m just happy you mentioned the KC-135, because that’s my favorite plane. The reason being that it was the first ever jet refueling aircraft, I like the look of the aircraft, and If I join the Air Force, I think it will be amazing to fly it since it’s pretty much a modified/functional 707
C-5: you like ‘em big P-51: (can’t think of anything else) P-38: you probably think you’re Richard Bong F-111: aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaardvaaaaaaaaaaaaaark F-86: You despise communism. F-82: You just got this plane in war thunder and you like to *fire the laser* SR-71: You’re the fastest person you know SR-72: you’re “special” B-29: (can’t come up with anything else) B-17: Respect. F4U: You either think this is the best plane of the war, or a VF-17 (jolly rogers) fanboy YF-23: You’re sad that the YF-22 was chosen over this F-104: *p e n c i l* F-105: **paranoid intensifies** V-22: **apply cold water to burned area** KC-10: You either want to recreate FedEx flight 80 or you just like tri-jets. KC-135: You’re a Boeing 707 fanboy
Favorite ww2: f4u (I’m chill) Favorite early jet: f-86 (I find it to be fun because it was one of the most dominant of its time) Favorite Cold War: the f-14 tomcat (it’s not because of top gun I like the wing sweep and the aim 54)
Bf-109E3 or the FW-190A1 (Nicknamed the butcher plane) Both are really iconic German ww2 aircraft, just as good as the p-51, heck they dominated the skies in the early stages of the war, mostly the bf-109, after all the top 3 aces with most kills flew a bf-109 (OR me-109, same plane, two different names) And I just like the design, especially the FW-190’s
YAY, part 2! Yep my favourite is B-17 Flying Fortress, not because of the ball turret, but the history, like Franz stigler Charles Brown incident in 10 december 1943 (correct me if im wrong), involving a B-17 named "Ye Olde Pub" piloted by Charles "Charlie" Brown, intercepted by a German BF109 piloted by Franz Stigler, for more accurate information, visit Wikipedia
I like the YF-23 because its better in legit everyway than the F-22, and before yall come at me about deadlines, the Chysler Abrams wasnt ready before rhe GM Abrams and they picked it instead
My favorite US ww2 Aircraft is 100% the B-25, why? It's the only World War 2 Bomber I've actually gotten a close up with, I actually saw what kind of bombs it used, which were 500Kg Bombs, Which was cool since i thought they used the smaller but just as effective 100kg bombs
I very happy that my favorite, dogfighter of that century plane, the P51 Mustang was on this list. I love this plane and I'm tryna grind for it on War Thunder!
