You forgot the most painful thing of being a HOIL main… “Before the 30th anniversary, you used to rock hoil for those god forbidden Sticky grenade kills. You know it was too strong, but man you wish they were back”.
I ran into my first one in years yesterday. I legit couldn't remember the last time I saw it. Also the guy using it was really good with it, to the point that I'm considering making a build for it. Gonna break out a waveframe GL for good measure. Chances are I will hate it after one round and switch back to Armamentarium. lol
As a Hallowfire Heart Titan main, what you said is absolutely correct. Solar ability spamming is my JAM and I friggin love it. Especially in Heists and Strikes. Also yes, hi, I am that one Titan Main still using Hallowfire Heart unironically in 2023 despite it being sunset so long ago
15:56 you forgot the most important fact As soon as ANY titan unlocks the armamentarium, they'll always try to equip it with top tree arc striker titan, to see if you can have not 2, BUT 3 grenades, which would be better than 2, so it would mean bigger fun. Then shortly after the realization that the max cap for grenades is 2.
A little-known fact about Severance Enclosure is that the explosions also cause some enemies to go flying vertically, allowing you to quickly jump up and perform midair finishers that chain explosions to bounce other enemies. I call this "ad juggling" and there is quite literally nothing more fun in PVE.
Me also throw 2. Suppress much. No use ability. No use super. You no jump away Hunter-spider. You no blink warlock-tricker. Now you eat volatile perpull crayon. You make boom for me. Much smile while I throw more boop grenade.
Interesting take on Lorley’s in PVP: Either you’re the guy that’s always clutching off of health regen (like Wormhusk Hunters), or you have enough balls of steel to charge into a Titan Bubble with the tried and true “offensive barricade”, and you perfected it to a T.
OK Fallout... That caveman like thinking about the Armamentarium legit made me laugh and put a smile on my face. Armamentarium has always been my most loved exotic from any of the Titan's tricks ever I fell my eyes upon it all the way back in Y1 D1. After all , what's not to love about double the explosions of your favourite element? Double the fun in my book.
Same, as a lover of the exotic, its all I'll be thinking about when throwing my 2 grenades. I only got into the exotic last season because of arc 3.0 but I now run 2 duskfield grenades cuz it really pisses people off especially shield campers. lol
@@radamanthys0223 As a Warlock main, If bracers ever gets a buff that makes them truly viable in pvp they are gonna be amazing. Not that you can make them work but there are way better options.
AC/D feedback fences are good. especially on arc 3.0, with the fragment that gives you damage resistance. Its very satisfying, when your teammates ask you why you stopped moving, when the last guy on the enemy team punches you to their death, and you still don't move, or say anything.
It is literally the bane of my existance. Yes i am terrible at this game, barely got a year on it too by now. I do main hunter, so do bring the flame if you want (apparently they are over hated, huh). The thing is, im a slut for bows, i literally have all the exotic bows (except Leviathan Breath, but one day ill get that), and a good chunck of the legendary bows. Lately, ive been using a Legendary bow with the explosive head perk, and i developed this high risk high reward playstyle where you shoot a fully charged arrow at close range on the enemy, get the explosive head to work and follow up with a melee hit. It works nicely, and i've gotten addicted to it. Until a friend of mine popped this exotic, plus arc 3.0 buffs and so on, and this playstyle went to the garbage dump. I hate it with a burning passion. Its not the best exotic titan armor piece, but its the best to entirely counter me.
I remember using them as my main for a long time, I think they were one of my first exotics and as an arc titan I had so much fun just punching things. I later got synthoceps and dunemarchers.
The dune marchers one is so accurate. My teammates always yell at me for pushing up and being “too aggressive”, even though 90% of the time there’s nothing but bodies left when they get there lol
@@Ar-daq the clip that starts around 20:25, hes in fist of havoc and a hjunter jumps above him and casts blade barrage. He slides and reflects it, getting a triple kill and the triumph for hunters despite being a titan. Ace Up the Sleeves.
Dunemarcher titan here, the speed, the power, the euphoria of that one perfect slam that atomizes all that you see. It is simply sublime to move like the wind itself and descend upon the hapless mortals who dare stand against, and destroy them a cacophony of chaos, true perfection. Then a gunslinger hunter pops their golden gun while a stasis warlock holds you in place as the hunter takes you to Poundtown, feels bad man.
Small comment The mask at the quiet one is actually a relatively versatile exotic when you look at it The health regen is nice but he also gained super energy and ability energy just by getting shot at I don't main The helmet anymore but I still use it from time to time when you're dropping 30 and 40 kill games is actually pretty noticeable how quickly you get your super with it
I used to use burning steps with Tommy's matchbook. Remember that one solstice where on solar days if you got charged you would heal? That perfectly countered the Tommy's self damage. Fully charged Tommy's with a firewalker x4 at full health is the biggest pvp raid boss I've ever been
My 'always carry lion rampart' moment was in the tomb ships in d1 King's fall. Took over an hour to get through it, everyone was mad, never doing that again! I'll take them off when it's time to move on, but I will always carry them with me.
Mine was spending I think literally 30 minutes on the LW jump puzzle in the ascendancy realm pre-morgeth when I first started raiding. Followed up shortly thereafter by Deep Stone Lullaby 😂
I had this problem once. Then I got good. Something about not being able to mantle in D1 really helps you dominate the D2 puzzles. Also warlock glide in D1 was always considered the worst jump in the game by a large margin.
I remember when Path of Burning Steps first came out and I temporarily became a Titan main just to deal with Stasis before it gave me a mental breakdown lol
I unironically use Hallowfire. It's been power crept by HoIL, but I like passive ability regen that doesn't require me to constantly use my other abilities (even when it's not optimal to use them at that moment) and the boost you get when your super is full is super strong.
@gigglebandit1 I'd love to see some kind of buff that either gave some additional functionality or stronger abilities while your super is charged. Not quite the strength that HOIL gives, but something beyond "hold onto your super but now you can throw another grenade 10 seconds faster than before". That or something that distinguishes it from HoIL, as right now it's basically just a worse version that requires you to not use your super and only for solar titan.
I got an armamentarium roll with 30 discipline and 2 int. That was the exact mindset I enter whenever I pick armamentarium - and you can imagine how much more intensified it got when I learned of it’s upcoming buffs.
As one of apparently 6 Second Chance users, I want to say that it's not just about fashion. Yeeting shields is fun, especially when it's done two times in a row really quickly
A fellow Second Chance user here, it's actually kind of fun when combined with Heavy Handed and a bunch of well mods w/ elemental charge. If done right you can toss about 3 possibly more shields in a row, all with volatile effects.
“Who hurt you?” Looks at my prescription bottles Looks at my therapy schedule Looks at my Citan’s EVERYBODY, FALLOUT. And I’m working my way up to eye contact, give me time.
Got me almost dead on with Hallowfire Heart. I love being able to spam healing grenades for my teammates. And also hitting massive amounts of enemies with consecration every 10 seconds.
Mask of the Quiet One is the only titan exotic to grant "health" on kills for any subclass without too many restrictions. thats why its run. also cool ornament
Precious Scars is super good in PvE if you run a monochromatic build! The heals on multi-kill are very good and the revive perk still works. It was really good on Vow Day 1!
Skullfort was my favorite exotic before Severence Enclosure got buffed to work with abilities. Fun fact: Knockout counts as a melee ability and it procs the explosion Yes, this works in PvP and it is hilarious every time
They should give eternal warrior a passive perk that works outside of your super. Something like "powered melee kills grant bonus super energy and an overshield." That way it's a overshield exotic but for arc and still revolves around the arc titan punchy punch
I've been a HoIL main since I started playing, I just love that it works with every subclass and rewards you for using your abilities to their fullest. Really pushes me to barricade in more places which can lead to more interesting encounters.
I use this in PvE. It absolutely is. Just like ACD/0 Feedback and bubble will almost kill any asshole brazen enough to challenge the goodie room in PvP.
Cool thing with the Saint 14 helm is the Edge of Action has the same blindness functionality as the big ol bubble. Sacrifices some DPS obv, but hey I can keep you secured and over-shielded.
ACD led to a thought experiment which led to a “build” for me, arc titan shoulder charge plus ACD, u punch them, they get blinded + u get 2 charges of ACD, they punch back in confusion, they fail to kill with the mele cus u get resistant out the wazoo and they die. I works more then it should if I’m being honest but it is fun. Also wormgod mains rise up
AC/DC is what i use to remind these warlocks and hunters who think then can melee me a titan and get away with it hereseay and let me not only punch you into game end but still win the punch out even when we double knockout
As a Lion Rampant Titan Main, I can confirm that we love to smack people from the air. Only think is we tend to start thinking we're a Gundam or something.
Mask of the Quiet One does one thing great that triumphs over even OeM. Works beautifully for builds that go with low health. Adds extra risk next to being badass looking. Plus pairs great with Berserker.
Lmaooo I physically lost it and laughed like a 50 year old man at the Eternal Warrior drawing. And yes the Feedback fences are perfect and the most hilarious way to electricte a guardian.
What's funny is that I prefer HoIL on Stasis titan. Building into overshields and damage resistance from stasis crystals lets you tank multiple sniper shots on-burn in GM nightfalls. Best paired with the exotic Titan glaive (yes the void overshield stacks with the stasis one) Stasis also provides lots of instant cover and it's a super fun playstyle. I pair this with a headstone weapon and Elemental Shards to have constant Stasis damage buffs. It's honestly a really super satisfying playstyle
I only use it for Void, sure I have a No Backup Plans build and a Doomfangs build on DIM for causal play but for serious/endgame play I use Heart cuz Titans currently don’t have a good neutral gamestate Void exotic (unlike hunters who have a buttload 😂). Going into Arc 3.0 I refused to cave into the Heart Storm meta but I did build it similarly tho with Falling Star cuz Thundercrash without Falling Star does not delete champions in GMs. As for Stasis I did originally use Heart as well but once you discover the insane power Hoarfrost Z brings you will never go back. It’s funny cuz before the 3.0 reworks especially Arc 3.0 Heart went largely under the radar despite it always being extremely powerful it was largely ignored (altho at one point it’s mechanics were bugged, so that’s probably why it went underused)
I haven't played with my titan in a long time, but Hallow Fire Heart used be my most used titan exotic. I didn't have many at the time, and it looked cool to me. Hopefully, one of these days, they tweak it a little to get people to remember that it exists.
I unironically use the Hallowfire heart, it's a nice convenient Exotic that I use whenever I need to balance my utilities with my Super. Rocking it since the day I got it.
Mask of the quiet one pairs great for regular pve, just jump into a crowd and as long as your getting kills, your healing without limiting yourself to the solar sublclass for loreley, or hoping your regen doesnt get cut off with O.E.M
I'm a synthoceps PvE and I'll never take them off, sure HOIM is probably better but nothing beats seeing the enemy HP bar get chunked with every hammer.
I mainly use Second Chance.. And you'd be surprised at just how delightful and convenient it is in endgame content! Not to mention that second thrown shield
I mained Crest if Alpha Lupi for the longest time and...I felt personally attacked by that, man Like...everything you said was 100% true for me, and it hurt more than a fully charged Izanagi shot through the heart
The exotic ability for Insurmounable Skullfort is outclassed by the Knockout aspect. Skullfort starts health regen on melee ABILITY kills, but Knockout starts regen on ANY melee kill which means you can swing with an uncharged slap to a thrall to regen health.
You are correct about Ashen Wake. I just enjoy the game, but even though I'm not all that great at PvP, I still enjoy that surprise explosive landing in the face of my toes.
As a veteran Titan I just use whatever I feel like helps me unga more bunga The extent of my “build crafting” is Blast Radius and Argent Ordnance. If I’m using Arc, it’s Skullfort. If I’m using Void, it’s Heart of Inmost. If I’m using Solar, it’s usually Peregrines with Monte Carlo so I can max out the hammer slam or hammer strikes The most Titan type I’m most like is Armamentarium Titan tho. Unga bunga stronk
DFPs is definitely true. I didn't change off of Sentinel Shield for so long just so I could have use for the Exotic because of how drippy it is. Also I use HOIL but I use it for Sentinel. Constant Overshields, Volatile, and Weakening is pretty helpful.
Hallowfire Heart, you play pve with friends vs pvp on about a 70/30 split. But either way you're using the increased ability regen to speed up nades, not have to chase your hammer down, and you will only use your super on the final health tick of the boss in pve. And if your nades are healing ones, you're either the reviver or helping the one who is but can't reach them with your barrier.
I only tuned in just to hear what you have to say about the Falling Star. Ngl you’re kinda right, nothing gives me more happiness that hurling myself into the boss and then dying right after since I hurled myself right into a horde of enemies as well
I saw someone in freelance comp yesterday wearing Eternal Warrior the whole game. They were a bubble titan. They were on my team. They were bad. We lost. Also, my team genuinely used Stronghold to taunt Caretaker during day one Vow of the Disciple. It worked, and was really funny.
I use Crest of Alpha Lupi almost 24/7 and I haven't even played D1 but I will admit it's a good looking exotic armor piece. Also as someone who runs Sentinel a lot, Bastion + Crest is good for outright surviving certain one-hit situations in PvP if timed right.
There needs to be a titan exotic that sucks your titan hammer back to you so you dont lose it maybe some people would stop abusing HOIL if that happens
I just now learned Hoafrost is good in Trials...I've been using it because a good Behemoth build is a BEAST in PvE, constant Font of Might+High Energy Fire, great abilities, self-healing and/or damage resist, and a Super with a colossal (potential) total damage stat.
@@JL32506 Cryoclasm is useless in PvE unless they give it 3 Fragment slots. As it is, it's pointless, I have Stasis primaries and my melee to shatter crystals
Now, I switch up exotics on all the classes to match stuff... But damn if I wasn't rocking Phoenix Cradle all the time when Solar 3.0 released. I think every other Titan I ran with was using Loreley (which was fun for sure), but the feeling of saving teammates because you filled the area with sunspots is just amazing. The buff lasting 2x was great as well. Those were my go-to that season and I regret nothing.
Same! I’ve done builds with Hallowfire, Ash, and Syntho but I always come back to Phoenix Cradle. The support player in me just couldn’t let it go. Pair it with Lumina to complete that role or do DPS with Outbreak / Sleeper and it’s gold. Only other exotic I care about is Ursa which does almost the same thing.
This video popped into my queue a second time and the closing line about Hoarfrost is something I missed the first time. "In guardian Hell, at least you will have a way to keep yourself cool" is incredible
Stopped playing this game ages ago but I always loved the lion rampart. Something about whipping out the sweet business and gunrunning across the battlefield like an AC130 was just too much fun. Worked way better in crucible than I feel like should have. Always kept my reliable Crownsplitter on me too in case I needed to ground myself quickly and violently.
Citans were my favorite exotic before strand came out..that with void titan for an overshield every time I popped barricade..truly was something beautiful 😭
As a player who uses Citans, Unstoppable Taken Phalanx is who hurt me. But thankfully with the Citans they’ll never hurt me again Seriously though, baiting out the shield boop attack and blocking it with your own shield WITHOUT compromising your ability to stun them is really good
I am, quite literally, THAT hallowfire heart player. I only really play PVE, I love having all my abilities refresh super quickly, and I think it looks awesome.
as a void bubble titan who's been running heart of innermost since it came out, I use it for what it was made for, ability spam. guess it got buffed back when EVERYONE started using it, And just like a few other exotics in this video, I'm one of those players that knew it was good early on, and hoped nobody else found out the same. I only play arc titan for the weekly strike pinnacle tho.
When it comes to the Precious Scars, most people only focus on the revive aspect of it and overlook it's greatest perk... Elemental kills matching your subclass type heal you. If you pair it with Tommy's Matchbook, you're always edging death but you're also in a constant state of restoration AND spreading scorch to anything that moves. Pair it with a healing nade and you can do some crazy shit.
I strictly watched this video to see if it would be a correct judgement to my titan....I was not disappointed as an Arc main with Inmost light....I NEED IT
You neglected the other part of Feedback fence, "you're a Rasputin simp" which is why my bf uses it. she always dresses up in warmind gear and almost always runs Warmind cell builds
Fallout, I just gotta tell you. After watcing all three of What Your Exotic Says About You videos, I went back to reading a book, one of the Junkyard Druid novels, and damned if suddenly I hear it narrated in my head in your voice. So, extra bonus for me, yo! Thanks, brutha! Haha!
