Vanjie’s story about how they talked at the hotel implies that production had not only let them communicate this way, but theyset these types of situations up on a daily basis. Production is heavily involved in every part of the show, including keeping both contestants until they could face off against each other towards the very end of the season, right before the finale. No they dated for 4 months after the production was over. They broke up around December, January. They’re not officially a couple since that, but they have been seem together a lot this year, so who knows what they have going on between them.
