Well, the obligatory three month wait for a new video even though I promised I'd have one out two and a half months ago is over, and this is one I really worked hard on. Every video so far I talk about promising to upload in the next two weeks, but I can almost never keep true to it. This doesn't mean you can't trust me though, as I'm currently writing the script to my next video which means that I might finally have a video up in the next two weeks! Though my channel banner does say "VIDEOS EVERY TWO WEEKS... MAYBE" for a reason (and yes it is in all capitals because the font Dock 11 doesn't allow lowercase characters). Anyways, lying to your face about my schedule aside, I do hope you enjoyed this video, as it was a lot of... "fun" to research. I say fun in quotes because it was honestly just kind of engaging at best. Okay, I gotta go procrastinate so I guess I'll see you in two weeks... maybe.

You can also access Ultra through Platinum Quest, the most recent version of Marble Blast Platinum, which is a modded version of Gold available for download on the Marble Blast site. From experience, it's very close to the initial Marble Blast Ultra, and I definitely felt the nostalgia playing through. The only thing is that the background and layout are different, as well as item appearance, the voice, the glass texture in Beginner levels, and the backgrounds. Otherwise, it's a solid alternative to the PC version.

The game's been updated since then to make the MBU levels much more similar to their original appearances, and there's also been sound packs added for MBU, MBXP, and MBP

Wow thanks for this video. Marble Blast Ultra is one of my favorite arcade games ever. I always had thought the developers just shut down and disappeared. Now I'm gonna go buy it on the Switch!

Try out marble blast platinum quest. Its kinda of a fan made remaster, because there are ALL of the levels from gold and ultra + about 200 platinum and platinum quest fan made levels. It also adds online multiplayer. It is technically a modification, but its so big its considered a separate game. You can downliad it at marbleblast.com if you want to have the fun youve had on xbox get in your pc. Hope i helped you

I would always play marble blast gold at my aunties house both me and my cousins would play upon hours trying to beat the game, then my cousin bought an xbox 360 and got marble blast ultra and we had loads of fun playing that. However by the time I bought my 360 the game was delisted from the store. After 8 years of searching I finally found someone who let me download the game off their profile onto my 360 and now I can play it whenever I want. I'm always grateful for the person who allowed me to gain access to the game :)

@@cobyssd as long as it has mouse support for movement you can get a trackball online. If you're specifically trying to play video games I'd probably recommend the one with the ball in the center but it's perfectly up to you if you want it under your thumb

the marble blast ultra demo is also on the Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged disc. This is basically the only official way to play the game on Xbox 360 if you had not previously downloaded the demo or purchased the game.

A few things to say for people watching this in 2022: * Marble Blast Gold and Ultra are both available on PC for free. Gold is abandonware, and Ultra was unofficially ported. * Marvle Blast Online was another game in the series, it was browser based, but also shutdown in 2011. * Marble Blast Platinum / PlatinumQuest is a large fanmade mod that acts as a sequel to Marble Blast Gold and is available for free. It's been out for years and years now and still has an active community and multiplayer. There is also Marble Blast Fubar but it isn't as good as MBP from what I remember. * Marble It Up is now on Steam, for those who don't have a Switch.

I remember playing the Trial/Demo version of it all the time on my 360! I loved Marbles at the time, so I thought it was awesome. But I was never able to get the full version (I don't think I had Xbox Live Arcade), so I played the same levels over and over. Btw I love the music you used.

Yep. I know the game Marble Blast Ultra. Fun game with different difficult levels. I still have it but it's only playable online on the Xbox 360. I do also have the "Marble It Up!" DLC. I am missing one of the DLC but overall, it's an enjoyable game to play. The new Marble It Up! does look fun on the Nintendo Switch. I remember hearing of it, never picked it up myself though. Good series that isn't much heard of.

I had more world records on the XBLA than anybody else. It was my life while it existed. I was the main pioneer of Marble Blast Ultra. I was the person that discovered the modded controller for it. After that I would go on to pioneer all the other games on XBLA. Nothing will ever compare to Marble Blast Ultra though. Best game ever made.

@@jpminetos I was one of the best players at the game in it's early days. Top 3 in all of them. I discovered many of the fastest routes and could execute them perfectly. But then many other people came along and was pushed back. I think I was top ten on every lvl though. I didn't record any videos of me playing it at the time as I had no capture card till alot later. Here is the video of my World Record in the Sphere game from Trials Evolution though, which is kind of similar to Marble Blast. I first played Marble Blast Ultra on the xbox360 when my mom and her husband had it downloaded on it. After they split up, we didn't have the game anymore, since it was on his xbox. I would think about the game off and on in the following years, until I found out there was a PC port for the game. Now, I just try the craziest shit that I can think to try on there.

I think most people just don't really remember it but jeez, I've always thought about it and only today actually remembered the name, looked it up found this, then found out there's an unofficial PC port, went to download that and now in the very same day I'm about to fucking play it. This game lost to time for so long now... And I'm about to play it... Needless to say I'm excited as HELL. Wish me luck guys, and happy rolling! P.S. In 2014, when I was younger, MBU was the game that caught my eyes and dragged me in, like Peggle did. I think when we transfered games from the old xbox360 we had went into our xbox 1 we might still have the original downloaded MBU in there. I really wish I could play the newest of that series which is under a new name but.. to me it just feels so wrong not playing with a classic xbox controller not saying it is wrong but just weird to me.

There's one more way you can play Marble Blast ultra on 360 that he didn't mention. There was this weird game disc that Microsoft released once called Arcade Unplugged, it was basically a collection of arcade games all stored onto a game disc. Marble Blast was one of those games. You should be able to play if you own that disc

I've never played either of the games that I'm about to compare marble blast Ultra to but from the gameplay I have seen I've always thought marble blast Ultra was a mix between Marble Madness that old NES and arcade game and then also a game where a monkey is inside a hamster wheel for some reason called Monkey Ball For some reason some people make Super Monkey Ball sound like a Mario Party rip off so I could be completely wrong

There was one problem my older siblings and I couldn't do on Marble Blast Ultra. We can't play the rest of the levels because they're locked, making us only play 8 levels, 4 on Beginner and 2 on Intermediate and Advanced.
