Thanks Naguura, this has really helped me. Seen a lot of video's regarding simming and they are all extensive and complicated. This was clear and to the point! Thank you!!! :D
I spent a bit of time a few days ago googling this exact topic and learned more in the first 5 minutes of your video than I did in half an hour of reading posts on various sites. You've got a new subscriber. Thanks.
Finally, a non complicated video that explains everything perfectly! Thank you for this! For people that want to know more about "Patchwerk" fights, this was an actual fight in Naxxramas (Wow Classic and the WotLK expansion). There were no movement mechanics in Patchwerk, you just had to stay in your position and do your perfect rotation, kinda like the ultimate dingle target dps check.
This is a very good explanation of simc and using raidbots. Ive avoided using this tool due to simply not wanting to bother trying to figure it out. This made it a lot easier!
Hey naguura, great video, thanks. Id like a video where you go really into the nitty-gritty of balance. Tips like when to apply dots ideally (in or out of eclipse), the ideal opener, how to do the most out of AOE, how many targets to starfall and so on. I know there is a FAQ tab on Icy Veins, but there are surely many people liking a video about it more, than reading through wowhead or other ressources Thanks
Naguura, this was an amazing guide and it clear a lot of doubts that I was having as a new moonkin, thank you so much for your amazing dedication. I'm really enjoying more moonkin with all of your recommendations and guides, thank you❤
Patchwerk was an old boss, where if you didn't do enough damage you would die.. since the boss would kill everyone after X minutes. The only way to beat him is by doing enough DPS.. that's why they call the boss a DPS check since you can't beat it untill your raid has the gear to do enough dmg. Like a race against the clock to kill him before he cast the spell that wipe everyone The new raid has a boss like this (sludge fist) and also council and sire denathrius have built in mechanics were you will 100% wipe if you don't deal enough damage fast enough
@@thescatterpiratesquarepant7935 and is famous for it's type of fight which is a target dummy for dps hence it's use for familiarity on a simming site.
Nice one! for topgear, exept legends and enchands, you can find your best gear in your bag or if you hover on items in game from stat weights pawn stings is the faster way!
Hey Naguura, I really appreciate this video! I am wondering though when you were talking about the BFA stats for an intellect gem versus a haste gem from Shadowlands it seems to me that you multiplied the factor on the BFA intellect gem but did not multiply the haste factor on the Shadowlands gem which I think was 1.99. Then you’re looking at close to 32 DPS increase over the 18 DPS of the BFA gem. Just wondering. Again awesome video. I am so glad that you chose a Boomkin as you’re main...it makes it very easy to follow you on RU-vid since that’s my main as well.
Thanks for the help with the raidbot options. I didn't know how to set it up for aoe. I've had it bad for too long. I used the wrong pieces of gear and my dps is low. Now I can try spinning the bombs. XD
In the guid for SL balance druid, the stats priority was intell > mastery > haste/versa> crit, and here the sims say intell > haste > crit/versa > mastery. Soooo do we still need to focus on mastery as second stat ? Thanks a lot! Nice guid, i hope i won't misunderstand something because english isn't my mother tongue :>
I have the same exact question and was scrolling through to see if someone else asked before asking it myself. Did you get an answer? Naguura, please clarify. Thanks so much!
Wait so i shuldnt be using light movement? I was told to never use patchwerk because no fights are truly patcherk. so im confused. Thanks for the vid and keep up the great work!
Very good work. All of the videos are well explained. If possible make a video about explaining how to think when it comes to secondary stats' priority. I.e. i found it confusing what missives to pick for triune ward memory in my legendary crafting (mage here 😁). Thanks!!
Hi, in the droptimizer section simming all dungeons together is opened only to premium payed version, rest of the users will need to sim dungeon by dungeon
Hey Nauura. Enjoying your vid's there helping me out a lot. this one on Simming was very helpful. Can I ask do you have a video that is simple to understand how to set up ElvUi? I have just started using it and it is so full-on and confusing I think I will go back to Bartender4
Great vid. So I have a question about simcrafting across from Tank to DPS. So for example VengDH TO HavocDH. As I mostly play Tank and only have few DPS bits n Bob's. Does simcraft work well when mixing the higher level gear from tank to the better DPS gear? Like the better tank headgear while DPS'ing
Thanks for vid Naguura:) I have a question:I copie the string from stat weights into pawn, so i can see, which items in bags are better to equip . Does that work properly or not? thanks.
Thanks a lot for the video. Helps me a lot. One Question is left: Ppl keep telling me that the Balance of all Things legendary can't be simmed correctly and to ignore the Stat Weight for Crit and to get like 0. Is that correct?
Hey! Balance of all Things does sim properly. But Stat weights don't sim properly (doesn't have anything to do with the legendary though). So instead of simming statweights, just sim your items in top gear instead!
Naguura please explain what simming is you immediately started talking about it like you're only talking to people that have been playing the game since 2004 The title is Simulationcraft basics!
@ElevenCore To put it simply, if someone would read this, you put your characters info you get intended DPS for the abilities used currently, or you can sim for best gear worn vs gear in your bag, period. That way you know if you're using your rotation as intended.

@@thescatterpiratesquarepant7935 So if she's moonkin, it would only increase her healing spells if she chose it. I am aware of how it works which is why your comment was kinda confusing
You completely missed the point. Stat weights would be different for a character with 0 stats, Mastery would be in first place. This is simmed on her balance druid that already has much more mastery than anything else. That's when other stats become more valuable than mastery.
@@doggnamedchip So are you saying she's hit a cap on mastery where now haste would be more valuable? A diminishing return level sort of thing? I was wondering why it didn't seem to match her advice of stat priority. New to this myself... Thanks
