It wasn’t the bills that were expensive, it was the kids - 💯 FACTS 😂😂😂 As a mum of 3 teen boys FFS I feel this 😩. I had Jo’s lunch growing up - esp the bakery part haha! Harlim’s lunch box is what my boys use to take to school, now they take leftovers, chicken/tuna on rice with fruit n snacks because it’s more filling.

Hahaha I remember when I was in school back in nz ,if I had no lunch I could get a free sandwich/roll with Vegemite and chips in it,and when I hit like intermediate I remember everyday after school there was always that one deli that had the best hot chips for like $2. Gold coins were fricking diamonds we could get anything like bag full of lollies,1-2 litre bottle of fizzy and chips.

watching this and my mums with me were reminiscing how she use to bring our lunches everyday to school, a memory that wouldn't have come up if I didn't watch this ❤❤❤ one sandwich that stands put for me is mum bringing falai mamoe in a bakery fresh square breads with butter and salt so yum! $10 10 different ways Facts!

Omg yes, back home in Auckland we always stopped at the bakery for cheese sticks or cream doughnuts, mince pies, and that was just to eat for breakfast lol. Man I miss school lunches... Our tuck shop was the cheese toast with Marmite omg yummy and always L&P with pizza wheels

Brings back memories of my childhood. Tbh I had both Joes on pay day and Harlem’s for the remaining days if I could be bothered making it, sometimes mum made it but didn’t expect her to, other wise I took money for the canteen or just waited till I got home and had a mean feed watching SpongeBob or H20 lol Best lunch Sammie was ham Mayo lettuce and Doritos on the side I still eat it too this day. No lunch box just threw everything in my surpree bag.

harlim is like the snack packs from the dairy. i used to make us late for school on purpose so mum wouldnt have time to make lunch, and had to stop at the shop to buy a snack pack. Yass to the plastic bag, once an ice cream container was no longer big enough

Omg I felt the "no lunchbox, just put it in the plastic bag", coz we were too cool for lunch boxes 😂 & the squashed sandwiches when told to bring all our lunches into one basket lol. Bakery food was always so good for school lunch esp the cream doughnut omg. Raro and noodles were part of the school lunch too 😂 #iykyk haha.

lol aw mate i died at the fresh cream bun i thought it was just me, i still til this day always ask the staff if they have cream buns... from whatever Bakery store i go into. its so hard to find the right taste here in Sydney. But in saying that i was 4yrs old when i came to Australia & this is how i know i am originally from NZ haha p.s love you guys x

I remember having the the Franklins supermarket No frills Teddy biscuits in the white box. They came in choc and Vanilla . Had those for lunch in school in the early 2000s. They were the best

Excellent video. I always had a sandwich of some sort & a simple biscuit/snack but wished I had tuck shop food. Hardly ever got tuck shop (scared for life) lol It sucked growing up poor

Grew up and still, in Mangere Auckland lol. Cream donuts/German buns for breakfast. $10 lunch packs from the dairy & $5 incase I wanted something from the shops after school lol. College- breakfast/lunch & after school snacks was Wickman way😂😂😂

Some of the items you guys have in your high school lunch box is what I had in primary a mixture drink, sandwich, muesli bar, yogurt, fruit, biscuits, now and then chips. Mum liked to make sure we were full. High school was home for lunch or tucks shop pies or sausage rolls. Ooh I remember some fat bastard moments as a special treat sometimes i had KFC or fish and chips dropped off at school back then younger me was thinking yuss but today's me omgees suss 👀 but hey that was their way of showing there love (Nan, Mum and Dad) not good for the hips but good for the lips 🙌💯
