Hi, lads, I'm a new subscriber. The frame over the door is called an architrave and it is a decorative cornice. 5:13, moldings and Corbels (the curly bits on the sides), you are so funny! I get those seniors moments too. I SO want to sing in that echo room you found! Maybe the school choir practiced in there! Much love from Australia! xxx

The echo room was so so strange.. the house was a private residence before it was a school so what was that room for originally?? Although it did pick up on the camera slightly what it sounded like the intensity in real life was amazing! My husband says the square way up in the eves of the house, is made to be full of straw for sleeping. It is a servants quarters. The bell would be when the master or mistress would want something and they would ring, and the servant would hear it up there. Servants were not treated well, and that was their quarters for living. Husband was military and travelled abroad for many years. High school in Ireland, born in New York, and been all round. He has seen some places during tours that were like this and the servants were treated so poorly! Sounds awful. Good find gents! Thanks for the tour!

A cornice is moulding used to conceal the joint between a wall and a ceiling. An architrave is moulding that sits above a door window or other opening.

I have to comment about the ads. How did they get deceided? On the basis of types of audience? I got one on Robin Williams communicating from the dead via spirit box Another for a diet patch that turns a keg to a 6 pack. Worn over your belly button. For 7 hours per day. Bizarre. Ha ha wow what a funny suprise to be mentioned on my favorite YT channel! 🤪 Totally made my day. Lol funny, that shout out. Meanwhile-- very interesting and mysterious exploration video and location. That Echo chamber was wild. The first feeling I got when I saw that thing that you thought was the skateboard wheel on the floor in the mysterious doorway is that it was a rolling device that would help a heavy, wooden sliding door move in those grooves/track? Very mysterious.

Amazing explore as always from my Sunday morning dream team. Can't beat a bit of Northern banter. I could see the faces but I like to think of it as a gingerbread man juggling. Really weird, in the strange sound effects room my dog pricked her ears and looked over. Sorry to hear about your dog PTS. Great start to 2021 :)

That one bear on the wall shows only one eye because his head is turned diagonally to the left which is hiding his left eye therefore he has two eyes one is just facing toward the left and can't be seen

Since I can’t edit the previous comment....hubby also says, sometimes the room way up high with the box and the bell was used for a stable boy, or even for a child of an unwed mother or the servants children, especially if they were slaves. Slaves were never allowed in the main part of the house, but this way they could ‘ obey’ the law and house them ‘ properly’. Ugh! He said a lot of Blacks and Irish children died in places like that....poor little things....hard to know that no one cared for them...

Architrave is the frame round doors or windows, Cornicing is the fancy plaster work at the top, same as coving but usually more ornate 😂😂. exactly how we got in this one, we put our hard hats and hiviz on and walked straight in during the day lol, door was open then mind so was a bit easier!

In huddersfield last week I ended up having a conversation with a couple of members of the public who were asking what was going to be done with a building 😂, told them it was being made into a drug addicts recovery centre 😂😂😂

😂😂, I'm a bit evil though. Had 2 little old men (typical yorkshire ex miner, working mens club guys)stopped us and asked what was being done with a building in a little yorkshire town, so I told them they were knocking it down to build a huge mosque 😂😂
