the hard part on the heel is called the "counter" and it gives the heel structure, so it hugs your foot and keeps the shape of the shoe

Was thinking about getting these shoes but now not so sure with how little padding there is on the top. Just thinking about all the times the board whacks the top of my foot. Love the extra insole idea though! Very informative!

Using a reciprocating saw might make sense to take the shoe apart, but I like being surprised with cutting tool you grab from Geppetto's bench... so maybe try an electric turkey carver instead LOL

They don't here in Aus and I'm truly baffled by the fact that noone has just designed a fairly durable shoe lace in black, white + other common colours, sold em at an affordable price and made a fortune doing so.

Footprint needs better designers on the looks side. The upper on this model is pretty classic and the techy toebox is inticing, but the footprint logo is a little cringe and placement of it is pretty bad too. And while I like transparent midsoles the one on these with the green is such a shame. Maybe with a less see through rubber and an orange or red or even teal insole peeking through you could have this model show up in some fire insta clips and make waves but the shoe looking like its straight outa fast and the furious is a let down especially considering the all round legend it's tied to. Feeling a light to decent 4 on this one.
