THANK YOU - my mower broke, then the warranty replacement showed up with a broken handle - so I'm going to use these instructions to combine the working parts from each to make one working mower 🤞
Question about reassembly. I currently am trying to put the controls back together. My model is RY401014US how does the switch for the bar go back in and where does the spring go? Stumped on it. It doesn’t have the long bar on the inside like the one in the video. It’s the same one that is used to start the blades.
I had the same springs pop out. They go perpendicular to the yellow handles you pull. There is a small extrusion the springs go over on the yellow handle and a flat spot on the black handle they push against.
yes Yes Yes I did the same this moring and just like you found all wires and swithes good Need Part 2 Motor / Controller Tear down video. Parts RY401170VNM and RY401180VNM
@@smallengineguys similar issue, same model mower: were the brushes easy to replace? what was the cost of the brushes? Mine is 3+ years old and beyond warranty - is it worth trying to replace myself?
Does a battery powered lawn mower have a "flywheel keyway pin" like my old gas powered model had? I guess what I'm asking is does it have a similar safety feature of something minor breaking before something like a driveshaft breaks after hitting a rock (for example)?
@Drummerguy753 I am having that same issue with no blade motor turning on but the self propulsion and headlight are working. Did you figure out how to fix this?
@@gamyrworf6228 just this week. Disassembly was rather simple when following the parts diagram from their website. The motor control module was shorted. I replaced, still nothing. Since I noticed the connectors were melted from the motor controller to the motor, I replaced the motor too. Up and running! Hope this helps.
