I gave the analogy for the messenger bag and brief case. However many people get this wrong I didn’t say you did, but a lot of people. They think a brief case is a bag, which it is not. They are in the same family as the bag but they are totally different. Just like you said. A brief case the modern day brief has lots of compartments, and pockets. You wouldn’t call them pouches like you would a bag. A brief case has not organization for your things and it means business. A messenger bag is more like a tote bag but it has a strap. It is that of the messenger. Which at work a messenger bag is fine cause it does mean business but it is different. It is not at all like brief cases. A brief case can help you stay organized with many of its compartments and even if you want to get fancy a charging port on the side of the case. Not all brief cases have those though but some of them do. A messenger bag tends to have a flap or flaps on it. I own both brief cases and messenger bags. Well, one messenger bag. Then you have the hybrid brief cases that can bee used as a messenger bag style or,,,, backpack but it is intended to use a brief case. So their you have it. They are both great in work settings. The brief case I think though sense i do carry them as well, they take your work to the next level and they mean business. Where the messenger bag means more casual. Not quite as formal as the brief case. Now a brief cas with a strap is not a messenger bag. It is just a brief case with a strap.
So I went ahead and bought the large messenger bag. Big mistake...It is an absolute pain to deal with, if you are going from office to car and vice versa. The large flap is always in the way and there is nothing to grab ahold of on the bag when you need to pick it up...I wish someone would have told me to get the briefcase instead. Buffalo Jackson, any chance you guys would trade out my messenger bag for the briefcase?
