This video is showing you guys the difference between a road glide standard and a road glide special. Thanks for watching guys! Road to 100 subs! #roadglide #harleydavidson #motorcycles #biker #new #review #community #Dingo
G’day Blake, great video on the 2 bikes. Who cares what you buy & ride as long as you love it. It’s the 1st time I’ve watched your videos & I have liked it & subscribed to your channel. Keep on doing videos & I’ll watch them. ( & yes I’m from Australia ). I ride a 2019 Street Glide Special with a few mods & engine upgrades, & I love it. At the end of the day who cares what Harley you ride, the fact that you ride is the main thing. Cheers Macca - from Down Under…
I have the 50 cal on my 2023 Road Glide ST, and I love them. It's great that you and your brother ride the Road Glides. They are beautiful works of art.
I agree. I had a Road Glide Special but traded it. Miss it and it was a mistake selling it. I will have one again. I had the 2017 with the hard candy custom paint.
I think both bikes are dope!! I think it really just comes down to personal preference, it’s all about how you adapt your style into your bike. But otherwise both great bikes take care of them and they will take care of you. Ride safe out there bro
amazing the difference between your bikes and mine, I have the 2022 road glide Limited, with the 114 its water cooled. just subscribed to your RU-vid keep the videos going....
Great video. I've tried other HD's, but always come back to the Road Glide - the best model Harley makes IMO. I just bought another RG STD for a project bike I'm building with Blockhead Moto.
And you forgot to mention a major difference : the standard RoadGlide comes with a YELLOW cloth covering the licenseplate, while the RoadGlide Special has a BLUE one! That being said, I wish you guys lots of fun and happy and healthy riding together!! Greetings from the Netherlands 😎👍🤘🇳🇱
best part on your brothers bike is he changed the awful looking backrest emblem,to the cvo style 😉, me too finally i seen someone else do it!.. that standard is sweed black and chrome on point!
if i wouldve had the choice i wouldve gotten a special. but they had this standard for a good price, and i wanted one bad, i love that its base tho i can completely make the bike mine
I have a 2017 RGS and it looks like your standard same wheel same gauges (white ) crash bar it’s good for fairing lowers same gas cap cover I do have the gloss black dash though and I have the 107 with velocity Red sunglo paint, both your bikes are nice rides nice video
Nice video. I like them both. Personally, I think the 107 is more than enough motor for cruising. The extra bling in the special is very nice but I would not pay it.
Yes definitely, there is a very minimal feeling difference between the 114 n the 107 on the RG. It is nice but you can also add that stuff on for way cheaper if you really want it
To be respectful, I will never try to force my view to any one in what to buy. However, some bikes sometimes do need a little mods to make it more enjoyable for the rider. Sor example, One of the first mods I did to my 09 RK was to change the handle bars. I could have gone perfect fit but it would set me back about 1k. Instead, I just purchased a Heritage handles and the fit improved drastically. The mod was only $100 because there was no need for cable or other hardware. The fit is not perfect but was major improvement over stock. I was very happy with it. Adjusting the shifting and brake distance makes a big difference. The price is minimal and it is a must when I acquire a new (to me) bike. This is basic principal in any bikes. I own six. Two adventure types bmw, Ducati 1198,RC 51, Yamaha 400 moped (majesty) and Road King. By the way, the HD is the favorite of my family. I tend to agree.
Love my 2021 RG standard. Had her 7 months already and got 3K miles racked up. Fixing to stage 2 to give me a little more up and go. 107 is sufficient, but a zipper’s 468 cam should make her just right.
I ask so bought a 2018 RG standard 107 and over the past 5 hrs I have added parts and accessories. My standard now looks like a RG limited with a stage 2 kit and up graded stereo and speakers. It maybe a standard but it’s payed off and I love all my up grades.
Keep posting man. My social media checks pay for my bike fuel. 93 where im at is $5.65. My tip for you if you stick to just bikes I promise your channel will take off. Visuals were good Audio was good Content was good
I have a 2021 Street Glide as one of my 3 Harley's, i purchased last fall and i looked at both the Special & the Standard and i chose the standard. Why? Well they were just shy of $6500 difference and for me, the differences was just not worth it. For the $6500 difference, i was able to upgrade the following Cobra Headers Cobra Neighbor Hater mufflers SE Ventilator Air Cleaner (Same filter that comes with the Special, but the Special is disposable paper media, the SE is reusable) SE Tuner (Full stage 1) Purchased colour matched lowers from Advanblack (they dont work on the crash bars on a special, the crash bar needs to be changed to the standard anyway) Advanblack colour matched Dash (Colour matched to my paint, not the glossy black that reflects the sun in your face that comes with the Special) Advanblack colour matched quick release Chopped Tour Pack SE Cam 447 (torque Cam) SE Lifters SE Push Rods SE Cam Plate & Oil Pump. Harley Grips Upgraded LED from Ciro 3D Mustang Seat (With removable passenger seat) So the black gauges, the 114 M8, the stretched bags along with the glossy dash were not all that important, for the same money, i got far more useful items. I also have a 2009 Rocker C & 2014 Dyna Wide Glide Dont let peer pressure or the dealer push you into wasting your money on a Special. The dealers talk so many people into the Special, not because the customer needs it, but they hype it up so the make a bigger sale. Special is not worth the extra to me, but maybe to someone else it is and they can spend they money how they choose.
It’s a drag specials predator seat! It’s not terrible but it’s not the most comfortable thing, but it’s nice it holds you tight when you rip it and is great for backin the bike up because of how low it covers
you missed a couple things, the GTS radio is standard on the FLTRXS, the GTS is a $900 option on the FLTRX, also the FLTRXS comes with a much more open air cleaner, and the FLTRXS is pretty hard to get with out the RDRS system.
Good looking bikes! I’ve always wondered why people covered their license plates. I don’t think you cover them riding around in public. I’m just thinking out loud.
Been riding for 40 years and I can buy whatever I wanted from Harley. I bought the standard because the special, tho beautiful is just throwing your money away. Get a good stage one tune and you’ll blow the special out of the water. The all black gets old.
Yes it does. And definitely with my family we all have a variety. I have a standard by brother and uncle have RGS uncles is crazy, and then my other uncle has a cvo RG!
i get the standard and the 5,000 dollar i saved i put in to the bike to make it mine upgrade the suspension to legends or air ride there's really good amps and speakers there's a lot you can do with the 5,000 just what i do
Take the money you saved and put in a Cam, a front and rear Legend suspension and a dynotune and you'll ride better, sound better and fly past him on the highway. I'm a "standard" owner myself and that's what I did
HA!! It almost sounds like your the only one that has a problem with the standard. Throw a stage 3 in that and you could care less about the trim your missing.
