I'm continually surprised by how close the games are. I've seen multiple times where someone spends the whole game in dead last only to barely lose or in some cases win. Really enjoy this one when it hits the table.
I was going to complain about trading credit for feet was too powerful. Could have sworn the rule book said you could trade 2 round credit OR 1 square credit for 1 foot, but downloading the rules online it says 4 credit round and/or square = 1 foot, which sounds better. Dunno if they updated the rules or if I can't read. Fun game, though.
My one beef with this game is every time I play it I have no idea what other people are doing. You only see that their piece is 5 spots ahead of yours. I've tried to slow it down by taking turns once we get to the movement/buying phase but people still end up doing their phases ahead of everyone else. I had the same problem with Steampunk Rally.
Board game bollocks has a very particular set of skills, skills he has acquired over a long career, skills that make him a nightmare to people like you
Thanks for posting this. I have to say this doesn’t sing to me, and I am hard pressed to articulate why. Maybe it’s the AEG logo, never a good sight on a box. Maybe the cartoon aesthetic - just a matter of taste. Maybe the baroque profusion of dice and powers. Maybe the chips and curry sauce I had for lunch. Maybe.....anyway I will pass on Cubitos for the present.
