Thank you sir for showing us your Ranch and your abilities What a Beautiful video I like the ranch style life I hope one day I can have my own good blessings to you and your family
Nothing you did to that calf was low stress. Run him down, knock him on his back, run him again, and stretch the piss out of him, all while being tied on solid. Good lord dude, how do you increase the stress???
The loops are pretty nice but I sure don't see any purpose in jerking a necked 700+ pounder to a stop other than souring a good horse. You want it moving for the heeler anyways so just ride with it, your horse will thank you.
How about using a longer rope and slick horn? Rope the calf. Feed out line. Move around the calf tie him up. Drop the calf. Then get off the horse and doctor the calf. Very low stress. Good for the calf. Good for the horse (keeps the horse well balanced). Good for the person. Only need one person.
@Ye Olde Horsemanship Channel i have too but im saying you cant rope the horns of the calf they aint got any if they are a calf maybe a steer, bull, heifer, cow but not calf unless its a breed that have huge horns like texas linghorns or corriente well not even corriente
@Ye Olde Horsemanship Channel i live in Mexico and we do raise some corrientes but still you can rope the horns of a corriente calf and even if you did it would hurt them so like to rope the horns i would wait until 1 maybe even 1 1/2 years so what im saying is a horse doesnt have horns to rope
