I did a set of 15x8 and 15x6 original rally rims,trim rings and caps for my 1967 Elcamino back in the day and it was very rewarding. Worth the effort. GREAT job. 2 THUMBS UP 👍👍.

@@nothing_extra глянцевый лак как даст матовость? Лак то хорошо. Но на долго ли на полированной поверхности. Есть авиационный лак для алюминия. Не знаю каков он. Матовый или глянцевый. На какую поверхность кладут. Но для алюминия есть
I did this to my IROC wheels in 1993 and the Mother's Wheel polish to maintain the shine. I still use Mother's and a Dremel on my stainless steel watches to polish and buff out any scratches, works like a charm.
Great job. Personally i think some rims look better having that alloy look . but that was an educational flick some could use if they didnt know how to .
If you watch close he shows what he uses. The first blue gel is similar to what Ive seen on the shelves as "aircraft stripper/paint remover" then he shows what grit sand paper he uses up until the 3 different finishing compounds, 3m pro finishing kit has two of them and then the mag wheel polish by mothers was the final. The mag wheel polish is what gains that final mirror finish but all of the prep and removal of the old coating is what made it possible to even use the mag/aluminium polish.
I thought clear lacquer goes on the wheels after? Nice work, hard work though. I'd get someone to do it for me, it costs a lot to buy the stuff to do it.
The question now is how to keep it like this. What material used to protect it from corrosion otherwise in less than 2 months it will lose such surface right

Are you asking about the gel? The blue gel applied with the yellow side brush was a strong paint type stripper. That's what I read above. After washing as much of the dirt off as he could then using a degreaser too.
