The last time they left a dud final spin in was back in 1998. I don't usually upload recent clips, nor do I usually upload Wheel, but this was worth risking the strike.
I think because it’s a really unusual and hilarious final spin fail, they decided not to edit it out this time because they felt the audience at home would really get a kick out of it! 🤣
Call me crazy but I was actually kind of happy to see this. When it happened decades ago, it added an extra touch of humor and showed that even in TV production, screwy things happen. Keeping in these imperfections, IMO, just seems to add a little more charm to the show. That said, I hope this doesn't happen too much. You don't want it to get old and people tire of it.
@@UPBEATFOREVER Oh, yeah, I got that. I should've said this earlier, but my main concern is the producers screwing around to intentionally include a shot every few shows where it hits bankrupt in the final spin, instead of just letting it happen, which isn't often, and organically, at that. They seem to know what they're doing, though, so I trust them not to do that.
There was one occasion of final spin where Pat Sajak spun a bankrupt not once, not twice, but three consecutive times. At the fourth attempt after Pat yelled “Hey hey” it was a five grand spin.
April 4, 2023 was the first time in my entire life that I ever saw a contestant land on "Lose A Turn" and "Bankrupt" during a final spin and I'm only 3 decades old.
To be fair, the contestant only started recently doing the final spin. Pat (and predecessor Chuck) did land on penalty or prize spaces, some of which were edited out.
It happened again tonight! Justin’s two final spins landed on bankrupt and lose a turn but were not edited out and Justin’s comments and acting were hilarious!
"Vowels worth nothing, consonants worth nothing, maybe I can do better than that..." EDIT: From the episode on April 15, 1999. Almost seven months before I was born.
I bet you that next season of Wheel of fortune that Pat spins the wheel without editing I bet we'll see him land on a lose a turn 2 times and a bankrupt 1 time like what we saw on Tuesday lol 😂
Pat can't spin the wheel anymore due to health reasons - and the change to having contestants do the Final Spin was at his request (he's a consulting producer now).
What!?like a curse or hex!!lucky at being unlucky!it could be Friday the 13th even if it is not Friday the 13th.he was an unfortunate soul until the 4th spin to breakmthe curse!💔🎩💀
