Actually, Carol Smillie was still there for the next season (which was co-incidentally, Carol Smillie's last), but this was the last season with the original set.
I think there was one time when the American WOF invited hosts from versions all over the world for a special series of shows in the US. I came across a news clip from years ago when that happened, and it looked like Carol made the trip. It sounded like she was blown away when she tried to compare herself to the American letter turner Vanna White.
I don't get why she'd solve so fast. I like how they choose who will start with a trivia question. The audience's "ooooOOOOOHHHH!!!!!" is kind of annoying and their cheering for the spin before a letter is called is annoying too. I think it's funny how calm they are when they solve unlike the American version. lol I don't know why it took them so long to get "strike while the iron's hot" and strange how he forced the guy to buy a vowel but told the woman next that she had to solve.
Omg so different. People look 20 years older than they say they are. Or rather the deminer of someon older, but deminer stays the same over time so makes sense! Carol smiley twirling - so cheesy! imagine that now, it wouldn't be deemed acceptable by the powers that be! And that car.. What a peice of shit! lol
