Brilliant finish. I was curious to know if close to the same results can be achieved by a rotary tumbler system. I was looking to purchase one for the final polishing process for strictly old motorcycle parts. Im assuming the white beads are 2mm zirconia. Thank you.
Hi guys great job, looking to do something like this in Romania but I have some difficulty in finding the media, Can you please let me know what did you used and in what stages? Regards Thank you
They are common engineering machines, They just happen to be putting a car wheel in it, Obviously if you cannot afford to buy one then to make one you will need a metal tub, Four strong springs ( Taken of a small vehicles suspension could work ) Nut and bolt together to the tub and to a strong base, Maybe something like a upturned metal frame table, The stones are usually ceramic or hard plastic with a mild solution of washing up liquid added, To power it a small bench grinder with a belt running to a slightly odd shaped wheel on the tub will cause the polishing motion, To be honest for all that cost and effort you might be better off just buying one
will the wheels not corrode once you have done this... all this machine does is polish the wheels... I dont see any powder coat going on there afterwards to seal the alloy.
