Listening to Mike speak, it appears the only thing he doesn't do on Wheeler Dealers is operate the camera, record the audio and take care of the catering for the cast & crew. Yet bizarrely, when the credits scroll, he is only listed as a presenter with Ant Anstead.
Edd China cocked up, he thought he was bigger than the show and has done little since. Whatever you think of M.B. he is a very hard working and successful guy.
@@beachamgroup2482 yes you are right Mike Brewer is very very hard-working I've watched all the old programs now on Freesat with Ed China so many times I've no need to watch it anymore. My interest is mostly in car programmes that were made in America
I have always liked Mike and have watched all his shows. But Edd China was brilliant and I'm sorry it seems that Mike will not give Edd any credit for the success of Wheeler Dealers
It would be great to see Edd. Humility or not I think mike is a great guy. This is the first time I've seen him promote himself and why shouldn't he? He has done amazing work in his life and is more genuine than any others on TV nowadays. Also Ant is a great addition to the show. Can't help but think that Edd missed a trick not joining the new series.
They didn't 'loose' him. He is a grown man that handed in his resignation. He wasn't sacked, he wasn't pushed, he simply disagreed with the direction of the show. All you idiots slag off Mike as though it was Mikes fault? The production company changed the format and Edd had a hissy fit and left. Tough titties, sometimes in life your boss will alter your job.
Well done Neil ... I know it’s easy for people to criticise Mike for being driven and taking the claim for all the things he has achieved, but they are his achievements and without that singular focus to succeed and work as hard as he does, we would have been poorer for what he has actually given us. Glad to see you making content again 👍
10 days work made into one hour just shows alot of people are ungrateful but don't understand how much effort and work goes on in the background AFTER editing.
You just have to read the comments on Edd China and Mike Brewer since their split, to get an idea of who the true gentleman is out of the two. It certainly is not Brewer.
So you’ve clicked on a link about interviewing Mike Brewer and you get the arsehole because he talks about himself, what did you expect him to talk about , cake making? Good luck to him, started off a car dealer and ends up where he is now. Great shows that have entertained many a car lover for years. Good for you Mike👍🏻
Nice interview. I'm not sure what the hate is about with Mike. His schtick works well on WD and I always enjoy his buying and selling bits at either end of an episode. Seems like a nice fella and is always very approachable from what I've seen when I've been to the NEC.
Its because he comes across as a self centred rogue, happy to take advantage of everyone elses good will - while riding high. He puts profit before other peoples wellbeing every time and many people do not like this attitude
Well, The majority of comments seem to be pretty negative . I agree Mike has an ego and is perhaps narcissistic but you don't make those achievements being shy and withdrawn. And as l always say, you wouldn' t mind one percent of thier bank balance!!!
Great job Neil to get an interview with Mike Brewer. I don't really like Mike's attitude, though. He's quite self centered in my opinion, but then again I haven't met him in person, either.

be nice to see Mike do more global cars. The new US based series are a bit 'cars only sold in the states' now. I'm sure thats logistically easy but there are plenty of US shows that do US cars.
Absolutely superb. As a car guy, currently running a Golf R (modified of course lol) I’ve been down the road of diy on scoobys, m cars and the like. Mikes a good guy. People bust his balls because Edd decided to quit a great show.. move on, Edds gone and get over it. Ant is a terrific replacement and that role is just a mechanic, it is Mike’s show, he is the boss and the creator. Those are the facts. Just enjoy the show and move on...
Mike has never been particularly humble but I've never heard him toot his own horn so much as this interview. I feel bad for Edd not finding a good outlet to work his craft after WD. His "what car" videos (mainly of vans) sucks for being such a fan favourite and A1 mechanic.

My question is....would you ,please please, please consider (understood time of busyness is of the essence) but, possibility of doing a show on the NIssan 2003-2009 350z, actually the (Convertibles)The Z'd community have been long putting issues aside via vlogs/blogs too many to list....with ENGINEERING onto specifically (mechanical, interior/exterior, electrical) little quirks of problems...on n on!! 😎 "By the way"....saw Ed China 6'2"😁 at the SEMA show 2017 walking about, but kind enough to stopped for a photo-op! Can anyone help me, ive been trying to find out what happened to "Ant Anstead Master Mechanic" the final episode of this series was episode 12 of the build of a Replica 1950s Alfa Romeo F1 car on RU-vid, but was never shown, also episodes 1 through to 11 disappeared from RU-vid with no explanation that I saw. I tried asking this question on the WD site and Ant Ansteads site but no reply.
I used to own a beautiful condition E46 M3. After 6 months of ownership I grew to absolutely hate it. The getrag box was loathesome..the worst gearshift ive ever experienced. i took it to BMW and the tech said it was lovely..I couldnt believe it. They are lumpy, notchy and unrewarding. The M3 also required loads of revs..the S54 has nothing below 5k. Glad I owned one, but Id never, ever, ever have another one.

My mum taught me that if you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all. The amount of abuse Mikes getting in the comments is laughable. “Oh I met Mike once and he was an egotistical a**hole” & similar comments ..pff what’s up did he not give you the autograph you asked for ..! Lol

Kop Cole Fair point. However (and this is in my opinion) Brewer is an odious individual. He doesn’t deserve to be spoken about in a positive light. He was filmed slagging off Ed to an American gentleman. Performing a character assassination with surgical precision. Edd himself hasn’t said anything negative or personal towards Brewer. That suggests to me that Brewer has neither any integrity nor any class. He’s self centred and full of his own importance. You only have to read the comments on RU-vid and social media to see the fondness people have for Ed and the derision for Brewer. Speaks for itself really.

Where's Ed? He's the one we really want to know about. His remark at the 5 min mark is both degrading to the audience and Ed. He's got an ego the size of Britain and it's more often than not hard to swallow.
Exactly, where is Edd? Mike has a big ego, but it's deserved in my opinion. Mike's a successful bloke, obviously passionate, and seems like a nice guy too.
”Us and me” = ”Edd, the team and me”. This was exactly what I expected and Mr. Brewer delivered. Funny stuff between the lines, unnecessary but funny :-)
feel a bit for ed but he had his reasons as did mike and we are not privie too the full extent of what happened. I know mike sounds a bit up himself but but it started with him and he loves what he has don and is doing now. Im just a joe public but I have done a few things in my life and been lucky enough to travel around the world as a youngster and teenager and if I was asked about what i had done or where i had been then it would be all about me , so i understand where mike is coming from. Gary has his own channel, Car Focused and post video there weekly. We've both been very busy so he's not featured on my channel much recently but hopefully next year we'll do something together again.
Zap Brannigan 🤣 the general consensus is millions want to see Ed doing what he does best, fixing cars and showing us how it’s done. What the majority don’t want is that fat turd Brewer telling us how good he is whilst sweating and slobbering like he’s about to burst with his own self importance.
The original series was the best. I watched it mostly because of Edd. Mike was important to the show but kind of annoying. The two of them were polar opposites which also helped. Ant is a great mechanic but the US version seemed like every other US car repair show. This new season is better than the US one.

A show all about himself................well that's going to be a long series judging by how he loves to talk about himself! An autobiography too? I may buy that when it's in the bargain bin at 99p. Very humble chap 😴.
