@AviationBoi 2007 Yeah, because they needed to shove the much bigger (more fuel efficient) engines forward and up to clear the deck - hence altering the balance (without bothering to build a new airframe to balance it) and then in their wisdom put MCAS in to correct it. Bit like me strapping myself to my Moyes hang gliders hang point 12 inches forward of normal and it keeps wanting to dive without constant bar pressure back. Stupid move Boeing......

They usually have Marine helicopters drop off the Beast and support vehicles for this type trip. The small AF-1 plane is in case he has to attend an event or matter domestically. Another Beast and support team are loaded in aircraft dispatching to the location ahead of the President. They serve at his discretion.
The President won’t have a 10 day holiday. He’ll be working from a different location. He’s too much of a workaholic to just chill for 10 days. But I hope he does & I hope he takes a break. The two new Boeing planes will have a new paint scheme per President Trump, remember he got Boeing to reduce cost and oh by the way, a paint scheme more in keeping with our flag colors. He most likely will not fly in them. Not scheduled to be completed until 2025. But who knows, perhaps sooner?
That plane is the Vice President's plane, Air Force 2...but it is called Air Force 1 when the POTUS is being transported in it. Interesting that they are flying him in that plane and not the VC-25.

Are there Different types of Air Force One ? New Jersey is probably only 200 miles away from Andrews. Is a smaller Air Force One used for short hops? Where is the 747 ?, or is there a new plane ? What kind of plane is that ?
Michael Melvin Air force one is the campaign of ANY air force aircraft the president flys on. It does not matter if its the normal 747, or the 757 seen here. The 757 is normally used when he needs to go to places that can't handle a bird the size of the 747. Trump 2020!!!!
AF1 for Air Force plane, Army 1, Navy 1, Marine 1, and for civilian air craft it is Executive 1. And these call signs are only when the president is aboard. Vice president is -2. AF 2 and so on. When flying without the pres their call sign Wil be SAM (special air mission) and the tail number. I.E. SAM 2600
