So when I was at this siren on test day it had failed and I have informed OWC the dealer and they came down to fix it not problems found after doing some silent tests and Bryce (OWC) asked the city if we can do a full system test to fully give the siren a Load and see if there are problems and in the video it seems to not have any issues. Thanks Bryce!
And yes this was a 4004 before it had it rotator destroyed by no Grease.

it was a 4004 then the rotator but the gears got sheered off bad due to lack of oil

It is, well... was would be a more appropriate term to use in this case, a WS-404R. It was installed with a Type I panel originally before they started upgrading it. I think they did a panel swap on it and the other Vortex-4s and R4s in the system before they replaced the rotator. It's definitely an odd sight to see on the older style head.

it had a controller upgrade in 2015 to a 2030 and the rotator was shot so they put a vortex one on due to the city not wanting a 4004

wait but the siren is still a 4004 so doesnt that mean that it can still do voice…

No it's a vortex it was rehauled into a vortex

@@hudsonriversirens well that's how that happened they replaced the 4004 rotator for a vortex rotator because the 4004 rotator had sheered gears and needed to be replaced and that's what they did and they did a FPU on it as well to a 2030
