The claudette is using a, by now, commonly knowing program in the "cheating" scene of dead by daylight. It lets you control your connection. It's basically lag switching but he can control it. A list of things it can do: *You can do stuff like freezing the hook when activating The lag switch you can freeze the killer in place before hooking you and you'll wiggle out just watch his movements *You can Lag switch when doing a gen so the killer can't grab you until you 99'd it *You can heal your Teammate when they are down ^ This is copied directly from the thread of the program. Myself as a killer main - I have encountered this by now a couple of times. Its easy to spot as its always the same stuff happening. Its sad right now as the program is not interfering with the game or memory in any way, therefore not banable (yet) unless obvious proof has been found. Manual checks on those account COULD do something as I'm sure log files will show how stable or unstable a connection is and how much this can be used in an abusive way.

It’s very troubling for us killers tho and the devs need to do something about it.. I had this happen and lost a game when I could have gotten a 4K but instead got a 1k after begin stuck trying to hook somebody with one gen left

@@yuriaugusto1084 The thought behind it is great. The more people show interest in a fix in this the faster stuff gets a solution. What I think is the main issue in this particular case is that they don't want the attention to this program publicly available inside the dbd forums. You would do better to create a ticket with all the infos. That way, even tho I reported it already and im sure many others, they see its in public demand and they (hopefully) will try to come up with a fix sooner or later. Sadly, when you think about it the only fix there is is "kicking" every player in a match that loses the connection for a second or two instead of giving them the benefit of a doubt and let them reconnect without any kind of penalty. Another solution could be that everyone whos not actively connected to the server has no effect to the game itself. Means the killer can interact with the player as if he/she is AFK rather than still playing.
By the way the Claud in the first game was lag switching. For you it looks like she is running straight but on her screen she can move freely. You can run into her while she is doing this. When you chased her into the area where the upside down portal is, you ran into her invisible playermodel. (sorry if this doesn't make any sense)

Having a server installed in your house will allow you to access directly from any of your PCs to your server. It will work as a big storage for files, security backups, shared printers, etc... But it won't improve the access speed to outside sources, like gaming servers, internet, etc...

Literally a microwave will have the same impact on your internet connection speeds as a server will. Neither one of them are for increasing download or upload speeds.

buying a server isnt going to do anything for your internet, it'll be good for storing mass quantities of data but if your internet is poo then your server connection to the internet is going to be poo. If you got poo internet out there then you out of luck dawg
Ive had issues like that, a Bill didnt step in my traps when he ran right over them. I got trapped in them, also I get really bad server lag from my games. Btw AT&T Fiber is my internet provider so its not me.

A mainframe or server isn't really a "Internet fast here" kind of thing. You would have to talk your ISP into selling you a Business package, which might require roadwork to be done.

Server dosent increase internet you can pay for a 1 to 1 connection to a ISP but can cost alot of money A 1 to 1 connection to a ISP is just you on the line no one else is sharing your connection Other than that Thiers always the 4g the speeds for Max 4g can be very fast just latency can be bad it being wireless network

Blue He can’t. Rural areas have crap internet speeds due to the poor infrastructure. Outside of getting the ISP to come out and replace the old copper wires with fiber, there is virtually nothing he can do. And good luck getting that to happen because it’s financially unviable for them to do so and they have shareholders to please which is more important than provide quality services to customers.
You can set up a node and essentially become an ISP yourself but that's really damn hard to do and you need all th cables wired to your location anyway

this is to Monto, if you get a CAT6 patch cord you can plug it into your router for the most powerful internet speed possible... I live in a brick house and the router far away, but i used the cord and it works perfectly.
Monto, in regards to improving internet speed, there is not much you can do. Sadly, it’s an infrastructure limitation. Rural areas are serviced by old copper wires that has to travel long distances which reduces speed and performance significantly. As others stated, the ISP has to run fiber out to the area, which will most likely never happen due to how financially unviable it is for the ISP (gotta please them shareholders). All a server is going to do it make easier to consume media by downloading movies and shows to the server for consumption later. A server can’t make the internet faster because it’s only as fast as the weakest link (which in the case, is the fiber from your home, or server, to the ISP). It’s physics and a server can’t change that. Your best bet is hoping that 5G wireless home internet comes to your area sooner than later.

IDK if monto reads this, but there is a service you can buy where your computer hooks up to super computers and you basically use those for all of your processing needs. I think that includes internet, but I could be wrong
The same thing with the claudd happened to me a few games ago. It was a Nancy in a toxic swf. Had boil over too. Except she also had no mither. her collision box lagging behind her (getting stuck on nothing) and can't hook properly
As a guy who worked as Network and IT engineer for years. Servers won't do jack shit for you, you're thinking of using servers for routing. Not needed in the slightest for yourself, you just wanna go fast for download and up. The thing that controls the internet speed and reliability is the cable run to your house. Hence unfortunately if you wish to increase your speed you will need to run a fibre cable to your house. Otherwise, you'll probably be running on ADSL or maybe FTTC if you're lucky. But if you wanna go fast you need FTTP which is fibre to your house (They'll also install an FTTP set up for you in the house, because you need a specialised modem). tl;dr server won't do shit, you'll need to pay for a cable to run to your house
You need your provider to put a glassfiber line to your house. A server won't get you faster internet, if it is not connected to the internet with a fast method. I mean, if you'd build a house on the moon, putting a server there wouldn't remove the 2.5 second latenzy you'd get.
A local server enhances your speed to that server only. Connection to the rest of the world depends on cable bandwidth. So if a game runs on your local server your PC will have near 0 latency. But everyone else in the lobby would have bad lag.
My friend, a server will not increase your internet speed. What you need is to strike a deal with your Internet Service Provider, to give you a connection with a high upload speed. Most ISPs have business grade connections, so see if you can find one that supplies one of those. Far cheaper than getting a server too, not that a server would have done anything to help your internet speed to begin with.

Monto idk how internet providers work where you're at. But sometimes if you want to get good internet and they won't run a line to you, just get a business internet package. Sometimes they'll run lines for business customers they wouldn't run for residential

Network engineering was a part time hobby of mine monto. What you want if you want to upload enormous file sizes, I.E. an hour long video is gigabit internet. Find you an ISP that offers gigabit service 1 over 1. The "mainframe" you're talking about doesn't exist. You can however install your own server in your house but that won't do anything to improve your speeds. Reason it won't actually improve or help with large uploads is because no matter how high tech your server is, or how fast it is all your data still has to go out through your existing data lines to a shared data hub that's used by your entire block/neighborhood. Think of the internet as the street you live on. Doesn't matter if you drive a Ferrari if only 2 cars can fit on the street you won't be able to go balls to the wall. A local server would help if you were hosting your videos on your own server but since you're uploading to youtube(an external file hosting service) it would do literally nothing. A good analogy I used to tell customers is imagine your internet as a water hose attached to your house. Doesn't matter if you install new high flow faucets (servers) you're still restricted on how much can go through the line. That's where gigabit internet comes in that's like switching from a garden hose to a firehose. If you're really serious about uploading to an external file hosting platform (RU-vid etc) and gigabit isn't an option then your only option is a DIA install which would require you to call all the service providers in your area and see if they'll even offer it. But be warned back when I did consulting it was $1-4 a foot for the fiber, plus install AND monthly fees were upwards of $200 a month. Advantages to that is it's your own dedicated line, doesn't go through a shared data hub, and rarely if ever goes down. The only people on your bandwidth are in your home. Edit: 1 over 1 is going to be fiber you won't get those speeds if your house is still using coaxial. Also most people think more mbps means more speed but that's not really how it works. Monto buying more equipment wont help if the problem is a bad connection to an ISP. You need an ISP to route internet traffic for you. The only thing I think of is paying the ISP to get a better connection to your area. A server is simply a computer that's used to host data that can be accessed from the internet. So if I type the address of the server it will run programs for me, usually a website or an internet service like the DBD servers
Every since ayrun or ussylus showed people how to that locker flashlight thing. It’s all people try to do next that tech with the pallet. This is why when I see a flashlight it’s either he’s dead first or franklins. A whole team of flashlights wouldn’t have got out if monto sweated for it but he’s layback so it’s fine. I never saw this Legion skin. I thought the game was bugged lmao I will say that since it’s for your job, you may be able to get the server and it apply to your taxes as a “work fee”. I don’t know how your system works in Canada but either way it’s still worth it for your job
