He was 12, He was trying to pull up and catch a few feet of air (got out of control), he wanted to do it again after a 15 minute break, dad said no. If the driver (dad) stopped fast, crash would have been worse
Nice complement I guess, although you wouldn’t make a great scientist. I don’t mean to be a “hater” on a compliment just it’s cringe imo how you call her really rational for such a simple thing, with no other evidence.
That’s how my life changed for ever, in 2008 on pine lake. It is very dangerous, make sure only one person rides at a time, or else you can get Traumatic Brain Injury like me. I am still spinning, even to this day, the tube landed on its side and my buddy’s body weight was what knocked me out for three days, lucky they saved me, and lucky me for being able to function visibly normal.
Just so you know, I worked with a guy who was a paraplegic because he fell while water skiing and broke his neck. At speed, impacting the water can inflict serious injury or death. 40 MPH is well above the threshold of danger. It only takes once, and it can never, ever be undone. Be safe out there.
Just so you know, I worked with a guy who died by getting struck by lightning in his own yard. Blue sky and everything. Outside is well within the danger zone, and it only takes once and it can never ever be undone. Be safe out there.
I knew a guy who would do food competitions every weekend. Steaks, hamburgers, hotdogs, etc. Eventually He retired and Went vegan. He soon died of heart attack
Although this was 7 years ago, it might have been much worse. Water is like concrete at 40 mph. Glad his dad has common sense and love for his children.
@@TrafficCones yea but for a kid, a kid would usually say sumin silly and very exaggerated like 1000 feet. I think maybe the point has been missed with you lol
@@TrafficCones Arr ok, yea it was quite high. Ive only been on the massive ones that take about 8 people, that was great fun but id like a go of one of these single ones, even if that happens. Anyway take care!
Lucky the highlight doesn’t say 60lb kid dies after hitting water at a velocity death trap rated speed that makes it almost equal to landing on concrete on impact. Another reason why the manta Ray is discontinued and the driver of this boat should be going a lot slower. A friend of mine lost their kid doing this a few years ago. They live in regret every single day now.
He’s all good! To answer other comments... It was not a “Manta” tube He was trying to get air and was consistently getting 1-2 feet off the water and landing This one got away and I did not want to stop suddenly and have him crash suddenly, so it was a gradual slow down to give him a chance to maneuver it down 10 minutes after crashing he wanted to do it again, but I said no! It’s one of those things you do not intend to happen and are thankful it did not turn out worse
You’re lucky as hell TBH. That 60lb body is irreplaceable. I’m glad he ended up having fun and wasn’t injured this time, I know if that happened to me I would have learned a thing or two for next time as you said. You’re not a bad dad and I think that as long as you understand the risks and plan for every likely outcome you should be good in the future. I have a 10 year old myself so I get it.
@@FlyingDaddy721 I bet you’re a lot of fun at parties.... I don’t know what padded paradise you grew up in, but half the people I knew growing up all got into accidents on our bicycles, PWCs, skateboards.... swung from ropes into dangerous waters, jumped from bridges.... those that died young all died in car crashes.... Was the child you know wearing his life preserver? Did said child know how to swim? Were there enough adults on the boat to have a captain and a rescue swimmer? Did adults all know CPR? I’M betting that you left out some information and there was another cause of death, not catching air while tubing..... So take your pills and chill out.
@Benjamin Goodlich Benjamin is a triggered boy. No logic or comprehension apparently either. Read the following very slowly but put your crack pipe down first since you are totally Amped up it seems and probably unemployed with erectile dysfunction to be lashing out with such unwarranted emotion. I don’t take things personally I just stated a fact that a friend of mine had a 9 year old son who broke his neck on impact after hitting the water at the lake and was in a coma from an accident just like this. That is all I said. My friends son later passed away. It was not enjoyable to see that and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone else. Thankfully The kid in this video is safe so that’s all that matters and for next time Im sure dad will slow speed down a little bit to be safer as I’m sure dad had good intentions and just wanted to have family fun. Nothing wrong with good family time. Now you can resume smoking your crack Pipe and sleeping on moms couch in the basement while I’m hanging out by the pool in Fort Lauderdale in a jumbo unicorn Floatie watching RU-vid videos 😂
Whats sad is im a proud American, but your thinking too much like a American. Lawsuit this lawsuit that, dude live your fucking life. Quit being so caught up in money.
He was literally flying with no wings no engines just pure speed lifting him to get up you need high speeds and need to adjust yourself to the perfect angle
Well number 1 pulling from a tower made to get air on a wakeboard...its made to pull you up not designed for a tube. I have a 16 year old and a jetski. It's called you stop the boat and make sure he knows that's killed people... not one but multiple. I'm an extreme sports person... do it all. That's child endangerment bottom line
Hitting water at 40 mph is painful at the very least. Now add the very real possibility that water rushed inside one of the numerous cavities any human being has and we are talking about a serious trauma.
