No doubt. Amen. I guess every "old guy" since the beginning of time has said "their" era of music is best. I suppose that's true, because most people's prime is their 20's and 30's. You're ALIVE and starting your life, and the world is at your feet. That said, I still feel music has lost its fun and love and soul. Where are the love songs, and the music that was carried by either clear, talented vocals, or a beat that you couldn't help but dance to? It just kind of started fizzling out after the 80's. I mean, how can you NOT get jazzed and uplifted by Kool and the Gang, Earth Wind and Fire, and the Bee Gees?! So Bernard, I agree - 70's and 80's was the BEST music ever!
@@biknjak , you're absolutely right! It's a reason for me to only (!) play records in my shop, I'm on Mallorca and the vinyl culture here is amazing!! Recently bought Chic, Hamilton Bohannon, Johnny Guitar Watson.... And yes, music these days has lost her magic.
Promise you today's music won't even make it to a decade unless it's genuinely from the soul and heart. But, nothing is beating this Mature music in today's Era. This music was magical
All jokes aside, the 70’s and 80’s were decades of nothing but fun for everyone who grew up in that era!!! The music was great and the dances were off the hook! Thanks fellas for bringing it all back!!
It reminds me of “back then” and it’s not because I was younger, it’s because it was just a way more fun time and everyone was trying to be cool but nicer to each other, way nicer!
Yeah but with a partner, where are the girls at. oh she be home cooking. Oh so them Brotha's are cheating on their ole lady.💯💋💔😁😆🍻🥂🎊🎲🎲and perfume on him too. You better put it in the want aide my man and I are through. Sisters don't be playing. Fellows we better get it together.🙄 Who she with now😁😆
My nephew as 3 little ones, the 5 yr old I got her singing the chorus to Toto "Georgie Porgie" the youngest in the highchair would start to dance in her chair. My sister knew then that our Cajun blood in Canada was alive & well...
@@rainej7013 yesterday I rewatched the Beverly Hils Cop and under full responsibility I say that the 80’s were the best decade in human history. The technology was just good enough to give us comfortable living and things weren’t over complicated.
OMG Venus Please don't leave me out 🥰👌What I would give to go back in time for a little while 🙏👌I grew up on this magical sound so grateful to have lived through this era of beautiful music this kind of music will never go out of style ❤This beautiful classic just moves one's soul in the right direction 4SURE!!!💃💃💃The lyrics that yank ur heartstrings for decades 💞💞💞Real music with meaningful lyrics u can understand 4REAL!!!!! The 70"s and 80's were my golden years carefree 😛🥰🥰 A trip down memory lane good ode days I was in my twenties carefree❣❣Still listening how about April 01 2022
As much as I love older music, this kind of really devalues newer talent. Like sure, pop may not be your thing but there's a reason why it's so popular. And there bangers elsewhere. Beach Bunny, Penelope Scott, Silk Sonic
@@kaelisprime9087 Disagree The only thing it devalues is the mainstream garbage that is shoved onto the public through every streaming platform, television network, and billboard charts.
They asked Dionne Warwick that question. Her response was.... lack of substance. Now Chaka Khan response to same question (held nothing back) lack of talent. 🤷
It’s dancing like this that makes me wish they’d bring Soul Train back. That show was amazing… so much great music and dancing. We need more of that in our lives.
I dont rock with no kinda "DEMON", you cant possibly become any more wicked. I'm even having 2nd thoughtz about Responding, let alone agreeing with you by saying "Damn Straight!!" music was impeccable, back then. If u can read this, then i decided to comment on F.D'z remark. Perhaps only to suggest to you, how about changing your Moniker to, i dunno, How 'bout "FuzzyNavel" like the cocktail. If u haven't noticed we've got More Than E-nough, Wayyyy Too Many Demons Spinning into orbit on this Big-Blue Marble that we call home. Peace...
@@blaze_boooby I mean it's not inherently uncool because of it, there are still good songs releasing, but a lot of it is unoriginal because it's safer to release
Old curmudgeonly #NavyVeteranKorea. Five Pasty A@@ Caucasian kids. The home ,,60s,70s,80s, etc. Damaged my Eardrums more than my military years. Prog Rock, Motown, ,,all those other "categories "? LOL. Ahh well. The kids doing fine. Decades later.
I just found this channel after my job went down the toilet today, and I didn't think I could find anything funny right now, but this really lifted me. You guys are so talented but hilarious. 😂🤣😂🤣🤣 Thanks ever so much for putting your videos out there onto this channel. You are brilliant. 😎😍
Never saw this channel until just a few minutes ago. Although your know your comment was made a year ago, I sincerely hope things have gotten better for you.
So were my parents. I brought back the 70 style in high school in the mid 90s. I found my mom's old school clothes and jacked her🙂 you have the same name. All Pamela's are cool, loving, and FUN💋
Never dead!, It'z living on Fo' Ever, Fo' Sho. You must be 10yrs old, & i'm sure you've got no SOUL! p.s. i'm not talkin' 'bout the soul you r thinkin' about. I'm a child of the 70's, I always wanted an Afro, watching all the dancers on TV I just loved them, but nobody told me that a little white girl from Melbourne couldn't have one!, Im 50 now and I'm still waiting 🤣🤣🤣❤️❤️❤️
Please guys do more videos like this one of music from the 70’s/80’s. I cannot get enough of watching them!! 🥰... just brings a huge smile to my face 😁
Ah nice to hear this.My husband Blair played drums on this with Patrice. One of his first recordings that lead to so much more! Thank you . Enjoyed it! BIG LOVE ! 💗💗💗
That time was electric, I could really dance back then, so my girlfriend's and I never waited in line,....just buzzed on in, it was such a fun time. 🎼🎵🎶🥁🎻🎺🎷🎸🎶🎵 This was played for 15 years in almost all clubs,....even in the country & western when the band took a break for you could really, " travel," across the floor 4 the song had so much forward movement. 🎼🎵🎶🥁🎻🎷🎸🎶🎵🎼🎶🎷🎸
NOT EVEN!!!! THE SONG THEY ARE PLAYING N DANCING 🕺😍 ARE THE 1 N ONLY ORIGINALS OF "SIMPLE FORGET ME NOT"!!!!!!! GTFOH WITH THEM "GALAXY DEFENDER CRAP"!!!!
I was born in 1989 and green up in the 90s my mum listened to those songs of the 70and80s songs, and I thank my mother for puting such songs when growing up.
Back when I lived near Detroit in the 70’s we’d go downtown Detroit and go through the back alleys and climb up back metal stairs a few floor and there’d be a freakin’ disco and the floor literally bounced to the music. So fun dancing to Donna Summers, BeeGee’s, and Brick House!
I am from Detroit, and we would all go down to the ethnic festivals, hang out, dance with whomever, never was a problem! The good ole Detroit Days, back in the 70's!
@@jebby16 Everything is racist nowadays. Pretty soon you won't be able to say good morning without being a called racist. Who are in the video? Black men. So he/she said black folks. They dancing down the street having a good time. Makes you want to join them. I believe he/she meant instead of rap music with its disgusting lyrics. Just for the record, there is a world of difference between the music black singers or groups were putting out then and now. Calling women b*tches, ho's, glorifying guns, money, violence, murder, genitals and getting out on the dance floor looking like they are practicing for a porn film supposed to be a great art? The music in the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's will always be memorable. Too bad rap started out that way, but then took a nose dive. You can sing the music back then anywhere. I wouldn't have all that negativity and filth coming out of my mouth, unless I done lost my mind and didn't know what I was saying.
@@jebby16 no it isnt. Just because someone mentions a color or race doesn't make a comment racist. You people are so entitled that you don't even know the definition or real racism.
Just like everyone anyway, somebody has to be first. I don’t get all up in division. Waste of life. Just be cool and be kind to everyone. It’s not that hard. And the real jerks, just give them a wide berth, steer clear, and don’t engage...and get on with getting along.
People did like each other but what happened was behind close doors they were writing racist laws and policies and teaching their kids to dance and have fun with blacks but to write racist policies behind close doors. So yes we did get along better and cops weren't shooting blacks for fun like they are now and were more respectful but behind close doors Reagan and racists sentiments and policies were being put in place for the 90s and so on.
You guys are ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! PLEASE create more of these videos for all of the other great 70s and 80s R&B and Funk jams. You gentlemen should have your own television show! All of the characters you portray remind me of people I knew and partied with in the Washington D.C. area when I was in the military. SPOT ON. Please keep creating more, and PLEASE, create one for Jungle Love! 😎
