@@Haileyrodriguez288 doesn't meant the person needs to be a ass. @danirazooqi6 was right for giving the customer the chocolate ice cream instead of the cookies'n'cream.

I'd be looking panicked as I said hurry up, and add in, "I have a meeting and need my lucky ice cream," or "it's for my pregnant wife and she'll kill me!" Either should hopefully explain the panic
I'm a hard worker, and I don't appreciate workers being rude to customers, if they say they are in a hurry we should ablige. We are to be courteous and helpful and yes give a lil extra effort
@@delinkwent7375 I get what he meant, that's why I suggested jitters. Arthritis doesn't make you slower. It makes your joints weak and causes pain and swelling. It could make you walk slower if it's in your legs, but arthritis of the hands would cause dexterity problems, not slowness. (Osteoarthritis, the most common form, which is the one he's referring to.)
@@moneybilla More like I know the basic definition of a chronic condition and that it bears no relation to a common effect of anxiety. The comparison made no sense.
@@APatriotRevivalIf you have dexterity problems it means that you have to take your time and be more precise with your movements to avoid making a mistake. Therefore, you move slower. Is that not what happens?
I squint off in the distance. Then glance at the customer do the duck lips, hold a finger up, and quietly say "i gotchu". Then i go back to what i was doing at the same exact speed.
I would stay and wait patiently watching the whole process. I even stay to watch them again doing the ice cream for another costumer. It was really fun
Yeah I was thinking like medical issues or something because I've been in that situation. Starting to do something but then having to suddenly leave because something came up, but not wanting to leave the previous activity because either money or significant effort was put in. Like "can you hurry, my wife just went into labor"
I don’t get why people are saying the customer is in the right. He has to wait for the scooped ice cream to freeze but the customer is asking to hurry up like there is a skip button or smth
@@brockjr8040you aren't always in a rush when you start something, but that doesn't mean things can't pop up. Like if I was waiting for food to be done but someone texted me to go to them ASAP while the food was half done.
Exactly, something could have come up or they were getting the ice cream for someone else. If they are being rude about it, THAT is when you start being petty, but being petty because someone asked you to speed up a bit once will just end up giving the place bad reviews.
If you're in such a hurry you should've opted for the scoop of ice cream anyway. It's nobody's problem but your own you have poor time management skills or an emergency happened to YOU. You ppl are so entitled and weird. This is his job and he has plenty of customers who understand and respect the time and skill required for the service.
@@LadyEscanor what if they were getting the ice cream for someone else or something came up suddenly, like a medical issue or your wife going into labor?
@@ryderthesinful If someone I love is having a medical emergency the last thing I'm worried about is rushing someone to make my ice cream, I'd leave immediately. And getting the ice cream for someone else still doesn't excuse your rudeness. Should've got there earlier if it was so important. I don't understand how ppl don't get their personal problems are theirs and nobody has to rush bc you're in a rush. Especially when it comes to something you know takes time bc of the skill required to maintain quality. Its not hard to imagine how ppl would rush the guy then turn around and leave a bad review about his product bc it isn't as good. The same type of ppl who I bet didnt consider giving him a decent tip for him trying to do as they requested bc they were in such a "rush" and forgot.🙄
@@LadyEscanor how is asking someone to be quick once considered rude? If you pester them or act like you are above them, THAT is rude, but simply asking is literally just using communication skills to make a request.
do you have to use the skull emoji for every sentence you use because you're unfunny? or because you don't understand the meaning of it and overuse it.
@@xornedge8204 What part of "hurry up" did insult him? It's nowhere near an insult or being rude. People have stuff to do, the ice cream guy has all day at work, we can't wait for somebody that is too slow when we're busy.
@@ushanimations1922it's ice cream, not dinner. Go somewhere else if you're in a rush it's not our job to go faster for something you decided to waste the time to get.

Reminds me of when i try to tell someone to hurry up in a nice way using a conversation or sentence and yet they react the same way when i tell them to hurry up

Props to you for handling that so well. Story time: I was on a band trip for district honor band, and it was lunch break. After my friends and I ate, we went over to the rolled ice cream place, not knowing how long it would take (I had never had rolled ice cream before). The line was long, yes, but even when they started making our ice cream, the workers would make a lot of small talk and put on a show instead of just making the ice cream and getting it over with. It got to the point where we only had a short amount of time left before I had to go. I kindly told the worker that I had to leave in 5 minutes or I would miss the bus. I asked that she didn't spend a whole lot of time to make everything cute and perfect, that I just wanted the ice cream. She said "okay," but when it was time to put the syrup on and roll it, she very slowly and carefully wrote out "Have a nice day!" with the syrup, which was completely unecessary since it would be cut and rolled up regardless. I ended up telling her to just skip the toppings and hand it over, and I had to make a run for it. I barely made it in time. Basically, if someone tells you (POLITELY ofc) to please quicken your pace because they need to leave very soon, please skip trying to make it pretty or putting on a show. I love how you handled it by giving them a generous scoop of regular ice cream. :)
Sad but true. But in context it makes sense since managers don't want to see a customer waiting. Managers aren't wrong but they just need to cut a little slack
And then they pull out the “I aM lAtE bEcAuSe Of YoU” like it’s not my fault that you are lazy and didn’t wake up or get lunch in time of your meeting or whatever. Edit: can we get 69 likes?
