The insane level of engineering it takes for a tank to be able to do that whilst simultaneously being desgined to take artillery fire is incredible, hats off to those engineers and mechanics
Leopard 3: Can move through hilly terrain without spilling the beer Leopard 4: Can fire without spilling the beer Leopard 5: Can fire while keeping the beer cold Leopard 6: Can use beer as fuel Leopard 7: Can fire beer shells Leopard 8: Produces beer as byproduct of tank engine Leopard 9: Also produces frankfurters and donner kebabs

Actually it was the same Rheinmetall Rh-120mm L/44 smooth bore gun on the Leopard 2 and the Abrams M1, with the same stabilizer mechanism. The difference as of today is, the Germans meanwhile upgraded their gear with the Rh-120 L/55 and improved stabilizer.
stop that stupid ass german engineering myth. germany cant even dream of the stuff the usa engineers. and before you go all chauvanistic on me im talking against my own region here, im not american.
ahahaha - of the 18 Leopard 2A6 transferred to Ukraine, almost all are not combat-ready: there are those damaged in battle, there are (and quite a few) those for which there are simply no spare parts at the repair plant in Lithuania, or they were broken by Ukrainian mechanics in an attempt to repair the cars at home. At that time, a German delegation came to inspect this Lithuanian enterprise. Later, an addendum to the Leopard story appeared in Der Spiegel. Yes, spare parts are still in short supply in Lithuania, but more specific indications of breakdowns are interesting here. Firstly, there is a weakness of the tracks, which quickly lose tension. Secondly, cars wear out after tens of thousands of kilometers: journalists quote a German officer who participated in a military mission in Mali. And this is all against the background of the complexity of repairs, which need to be carried out only at the factory, and not quickly by rembat forces in the near rear. There was also a story dedicated to Leopard on the official TV channel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It compares the German Leopard 2A6 and the Swedish Strv 122A - a licensed copy of the Leopard 2A5, which in fact is not identical to its German counterpart. So, the Ukrainian tanker notes maneuverability and reverse gear among the advantages. Another colleague noted the spacious combat compartment. But there are more disadvantages listed. Firstly, it is a weak side armor. Secondly, the weak tracks and the "freeway" of the German are mentioned again. This tank, as it turned out, is afraid of dirt, which is abundant in Ukraine. However, Ukrainians stipulate that the Swedish version is more convenient to operate, better adapted to the climate and generally a "hard worker", and German cars are so difficult to repair that they even require different oils for different parts, which is especially "pleasing" to logisticians, whose tasks include finding and delivering consumables to the front line. If you look at it as a whole, then in front of our T-72B3, T-80BVM and T-90M Leopard 2 have an advantage only in maneuverability and reverse gear. The more massive, but also older Leopard 2A4 in the fire control system and optics up to thermal imagers turned out to be worse than Russian tanks, and the Leopard 2A6, as it turned out, are approximately equal. At the same time, the "German" is much more convenient as a target because of its huge size, and the operator of the "Cornet" or ATGM "Whirlwind" on the Ka-52, the difference in size and "style" of the tower with Soviet tanks is very striking. For the first time, the booking features of the Leopard 2A4 appeared in Syria, where Turkish Leopards of this type were burned by Kurdish ATGM operators in 2016. On its own, there are many times more threats to these tanks: This includes artillery, attack helicopters, and much more. Simply put, a tank does not live in the conditions of the battlefield on which it has to fight. There is not even dynamic protection, although Ukrainians sometimes hang the Soviet "Contact-1". Its armament is another controversial parameter. When it is necessary to fire a large number of land mines, the Leopard ammunition is slightly less than completely anti-tank, which narrows the field for its use to a minimum.
German engineers are long time ago gone. Idk why people still say today german engineering like it would be the best bc its german. I live in germany, and its not that good today. Germany cant even build a bridge in less than 10 years and every 10th bridge need to be closed soon . Also things like puma and eurofopter has ma y problems,ESPECIALLY the german Tiger helicopter
Of course. Everyone knows, that they are testing all their tanks that way. Ability to safely transport an open beer in these tanks is number 1 priority.
@@UsudUsud-ly9qrit got better penetration than the american mbt and the armor is also one of the best if not the best if we talk about the turret armor design
@user-bn2zu2dd2v yeah If you fight Russians, you need to use vodka If you fight Americans, you need to use hamburgers If you fight french, you need to use baguettes If you fight British, you need to use tea...
Still so impressive. I remember doing my training on the LAV in Canada, which has the same 25mm gun as the Bradley fighting vehicle and a stabilization system ("stab") like the Leopard. In training you take turns in the turret and you ride in the back while you wait. The first time you're in the back and the vehicle gets moving, the back of the gun suddenly starts violently slamming up and down and you wonder what's going on, but then you realize that it's the vehicle that's moving, not the gun. And then you get seasick and barf out the air sentry hatch! 🤢
With this video, that’s why I’m a fan of the german Leopard 2 tanks because of its stability even on rough terrain, besides it has great capabilities and advanced technology.

The French have one that can do it with a basket of eggs 😂😂 ,the Russians tried it with a bottle of Vodka, but the Tank drivers were always drinking it before the test 😂
So that they can get 3 times the beer by selling half the tanks plus the beer that comes with. Just like EBay but for high end military equipment which will eventually include classified equipment.
@@luigimrlgaming9484 stop spreading disinformation or give us at least one reputable source proving that any Western-supplied piece of weaponry was sold off.
And thats why I highly respect german engineering, these men truly know their craft. Their products worth every penny, because precision, quality work and dedication is in it.
All jokes aside, its really impressive that a tank moving at this speed can keep such a steady barrel. Sure, this is relatively flat terrain, but this just goes to show the beauty of german engineering
It is. The beer didn't even appear to be sloshing. To do that you'd need extremely precise and presumably robust gyros and very powerful servo motors acting on the gun to compensate for the weight of the barrel and speed at which it must adjust.
One remark: This is not a "Stein". This is a "Maß" - a litre of beer. "Stein" is not the German term for a beer glass. Maybe it refers to "Steingut" - stone ware - which is a type of pottery. There are beer mugs made from "Steingut". But they are not called "Stein" but simply "Krug" - German word for mug.
It's not the German name but that's what English speakers like to call it. We also call mobile phones "handys". :P But yeah, nobody in Germany uses that word for a jug/tankard of beer.
@@AyCe Hey I’m a history teacher in the US. From what I’ve been told, we call them steins because that’s what the German immigrants who came here in like the 1700’s called them in their dialect, so it’s a very archaic word for them that lives on in America.
@@MCKevin289 Absolutely true. In the palatinate region we call it „Stein“ until today. From that area came many of the settlers/ immigrants (for example about half of all „amish people“). Also it is a region where many US troops are stationed today (Ramstein Airbase).

@@ReichLife Grow up Vatnik. It's accepted fact that Russia overhypes their equipment. It's also accepted that Russia took some leopards out then acted like they took out every leopard on the planet when in actuality they just took photos of the same ones from multiple angles. The KA-52s can't even do much work due to air defences, plenty of footage of them getting downed.
Imagine you go to germany and order a beer at a bar table and you started checking your phone and just one minute later there is a tank standing next to you with your order.
Actually the tank comes with an integrated beer storage. I learned this from a friend who served on one as a gunner. The tank has four tubes on each side of the turret which are meant for firing smoke grenades. Guess what those were replaced with during maneuvers. 😉

The British centurion was the first tank to feature “weapon stabilization” although many agree that western tanks like that of the m1a4 Abrams, leapord 2, various British tanks etc are often the best for barrel stabilization, and are called “run and gun” tanks. either way, the Germans don’t claim to be the first, they only claim to be very good, which is clearly true
I'm thinking that with the Challenger and Leopard tanks going to Ukraine they are going to be OK for protection AND liquid refreshments (one for hot drinks/food and the other for cold drinks). Glad to see that the UK and Germany both know the most important item when it comes to building tanks.
